Nathan gave a nod to the group. “Let’s bombard them first.”
Nathan formed his Void Bullets instead of Destructive Bullets. The Destructive Bullet had power, but it didn’t have the explosiveness for a bombardment.
Selena rose into the sky and formed a massive avatar.
Noelle raised her sword and let the fiery energy soar into the sky.
Iris had gathered the concentrated bullet according to Nathan’s previous teaching, trying to get the most destructive bullet she could form.
The stronger aliens would be able to sense the fluctuation of their energy, but they wouldn’t be able to react because Nathan and the others had shot them first.
An elite class alien let out a cry, informing other aliens about the incoming attack.
Unfortunately, they wouldn’t be able to stop all these attacks.
One elite class alien jumped into the sky and turned its arm into a blade, cutting the arrow made by Selena’s avatar.
In the meantime, Noelle’s sword strike ran through the ground and split the fortress. Iris’s bullet created an impact like a meteor, destroying everything within the crater.
But the biggest impact came from Nathan’s Void Bullets. Even though he reverted them to Void Bullets, he still used his divine rule to strengthen these bullets.
As a result, the eight Void Bullets expanded rapidly and massively, flattening everything within fifty meters from their core. All the aliens within that radius were crushed to death.
Nathan squinted his eyes. “It might look like there is only one elite class alien, but there’s no telling whether there are hidden elite class aliens or not.”
“I will handle the elite class alien,” Noelle volunteered.
“I should go first. You are currently our only vanguard. We need you to stop all those aliens and let Iris have an easier time shooting the high-level targets. If there are indeed more elite class aliens, you can take them down.” Selena denied her request.
Noelle thought for a moment before nodding. “Fine. Let’s follow your arrangement.”
“Good. In that case…” Nathan summoned all his familiars. “…I shall invite the alpha class alien.”
“Alpha class alien? I want to fight one!” Fenrir grinned.
“I should be the one fighting that alien,” Nidhogg scoffed.
“Me too.” Orochi and Xolotl.
Jinwu had calmed down after the trip to Erendtall. He had stopped becoming divine beasts that only loved to fight like these four.
Nathan shook his head. “Well, I will be taking this alpha class alien on myself. However, there is a high chance that we will be encountering another alpha class alien soon in the future.
“So, I’m thinking about splitting our group. You guys are divine beasts, so you should have some experience fighting even stronger opponents than an alpha class alien, while I don’t.
“Hence, the teams will be split in two, with me in each group. For this fight, I will have Fenrir and Orochi to assist me. Don’t worry, I won’t ask you two to change into crystal form this time. Nidhogg and Xolotl will assist me against the next alpha class alien.”
Although they wanted to protest, this might be the best arrangement. Besides, they would get plenty of strong opponents in the future. So, they still had plenty of opportunities to have some fun.
Nathan then gave an order, “Jinwu, Nidhogg, and Kun will be assisting Noelle. Kill any approaching aliens. Anubis, Qilin, Mae. You three will be the support. Garuda and Xolotl are to assist any spots that require your presence.”
“Got it!” The divine beasts acknowledged the order.
Nyx secretly took a glance at Nathan’s leadership. It looked like Nathan was trusted by his divine beasts, which showed his ability.
It must be hard to get the acknowledgment of a true god, especially if they didn’t know the true terror of the aliens.
Selena also gave her order. “Nyx. I want to see your true power as well. So, you will assist me against that elite class alien. Risa, Amphitrite, Lilith, you three will focus on the bombardment. Ying Zhen and Risa will be assisting Noelle to keep the front intact.”
Unlike Selena and Nathan, Noelle and Iris had a rather straightforward fighting style.
Noelle focused on being a vanguard, so all her familiars were best at melee. On the other hand, Iris’s familiars focused on supporting her, either creating a wall between her and the aliens or protecting her from any sneak attacks. There was no need for extensive order.
With the arrangement, Nathan’s team moved forward.
Since the only one that had been spotted was the elite class alien, Selena charged forward first.
The elite class alien activated its unique ability. Their heads suddenly rang sharply, making their ears and brains hurt.
“…” Selena bit her lip as she used her energy to cover her head from that power.
On the other hand, Nyx continued onward as if she were completely undisturbed.
“You should be able to handle this much pain without using your energy, my dear summoner.” Nyx smiled.
Looking at the incoming alien, Nyx formed a massive scythe with a black energy. She then swung it horizontally. “Endless Darkness.”
The slit in the air was ripped apart, showing a dark hole with no light in sight.
“!!!” The elite class alien panicked when it felt this dark hole. It instinctively rushed back to avoid the dark hole.
Then a massive hand emerged from the hole and grabbed the alien’s body.
The elite class alien used its power to the limit in order to disrupt Nyx’s control, but the latter stood still as if she couldn’t feel anything.
Other lower-level aliens rushed toward Nyx and Selena to help the elite class alien.
Nyx simply turned around and winked at Selena. It was her turn.
Selena never thought Nyx’s endurance would be this strong. It looked like she had underestimated a true god.
Selena gritted her teeth and endured the pain as she retracted her power. As Nyx said, she really needed to bear the pain so that she could use her full power on her offensive.
Selena already had a power in mind. Like Nathan, she didn’t ask Lilith to turn into her crystal form.
She was making her preparations to create her own divine rule.
