Chapter 1566: Four Pieces of Information
Chapter 1566: Four Pieces of Information
Nathan shook his head helplessly. “There are some, but nothing that I don’t know about.”
“Really?”
“Yeah. There are a few things that I can tell you.” Nathan looked up as he raised his fingers, counting the number of things he could say.
It ended with four fingers raised. “First, he had fought Yog-Sothoth, but he encountered a wall, meaning he couldn’t win against him no matter what.
“Second, the world would be destroyed by the aliens if we left this world.
“Third, I finally figured out several identities that appeared in my memory. There was one special person in particular, called Bianca. She was the original Nathan’s apprentice, whose talent was so strong to the point where the original Nathan thought she might make a difference on the battlefield.
“Fourth, he had become a true god.”
“!!!” All three of them were surprised. Even Jinwu couldn’t believe that a normal human managed to become a true god, surpassing his power.
But the information was more shocking than the last.
“What do you mean by encountering a wall?” Jinwu asked.
“Meaning, even if he used his full strength to fight Yog-Sothoth, the latter managed to win in the end. And nothing he did could make a difference.”
“Then what about the second piece of information? What do you mean by this world getting destroyed if we leave?” Luna asked. She was obviously worried about her brother.
Nathan carefully considered his words. “I know you are worried about your brother, but that might only apply to the original Nathan, not me.
“We have Cthulhu, so before leaving this world, we probably need to see Cthulhu one more time. Cthulhu has said that this world still has one chance, which will happen three hundred years later, right?
“In all his lives, he never encountered Cthulhu, either because he had already grown strong enough to ignore Cthulhu or because he wasn’t the one Cthulhu was waiting for.
“So, since I had met him prior to my arrival at Erendtall, this world should have a different result. Cthulhu might have another arrangement for that.”
“I see.” Luna looked down, contemplating.
“Speaking of your brother, I have found out one more thing. As I expected, Duke Sullivan’s death might be related to me. He was able to avoid his death because of my presence, not to brag, of course.
“Once my influence was neutralized by the passage of time, the inevitable would happen.
“So, Evelyn or I needed to form our divine body within the next six months so that the teleportation to Erendtall could be established.
“If not, there will be a high chance that we might not be able to fix your brother. Of course, this is not determined.
“However, the original Nathan twisted my fate so that it would affect the girls around me. And those girls would affect the people around them, especially their families,” explained Nathan.
It sounded like bragging, but Nathan couldn’t care less about bragging. He couldn’t take his chances again after what happened to Sullivan.
Luna nodded her head furiously. She looked at Evelyn. “If you need help with the teleportation magic circle, do tell me about it. I will do my best to assist you in any way I can. So, please… save my brother.”
Evelyn’s expression turned solemn. “Don’t worry. I will do my best.”
“By the way, are we going to get this so-called disciple? How about Iris?” Jinwu asked.
Nathan thought for a moment before shaking his head. “I don’t think that will be a good idea. From the way I see it, yes, Bianca’s talent might be extraordinary. However, Bianca and Elysion were the only ones recorded to have faced Yog-Sothoth.
“The original Nathan had been marked by Azathoth, meaning all his thoughts were visible to him. As a result, no matter what he did, Azathoth would know and make a change in their plan.
“Hence, the original Nathan twisted that fate so that it would hide me and the people around me. That was probably why Cthulhu met us, not him.
“If Cthulhu met the original Nathan, the mark might also be passed on to him, which allowed the black cell to know everything that Cthulhu had prepared.
“So, it was better to remain invisible. Besides, I believe all of you can do it.” Nathan smiled.
He didn’t just mean his familiars. He believed all the girls would be able to fight alongside him.
After all, his fate had been changed to make it possible.
Jinwu couldn’t help but agree. “Still, to think that even a true god couldn’t do anything…”
“Yeah.” Nathan sighed helplessly. It was indeed hard for the original Nathan.
By the time they could leave this world, they had probably only managed to form their divine bodies or godhood. They were still nowhere near the true god level.
This meant they needed to train themselves to become a true god in another world.
“In any case, we won’t involve Bianca and Elysion in our plan. And we will do everything we can to advance as quickly as possible.
“Since I know the current situation, I have to readjust our schedule as well. I might have to form my first rule before the expedition.”
“So, what should we do now? Leave?” Evelyn asked.
Nathan thought for a moment. Since he didn’t plan to involve Elysion, it was better for them to leave.
“Right? We should probably leave. According to the diary, Elysion can only meet me for one day before this meeting is exposed to Azathoth. So, it’s best to say goodbye quickly and continue with our preparations.”
“Got it.” Luna and Evelyn nodded.
Nathan knew what Elysion meant about his death. Elysion only had a portion of the knowledge that Nathan possessed, mostly coming from his last reincarnation.
The original Nathan should have told him about it before sending him to reincarnation. In other words, Elysion was able to reach this stage purely with that limited knowledge and his innate ability.
He might actually be the arrangement that was meant to protect this world.
Nevertheless, the goal didn’t change. They had to defeat the black cell, and the two Outer Gods just happened to be standing on their paths.
