Summoners War: Only I Summoned Divine Beasts

Chapter 1565: Unexpected Test

Chapter 1565: Unexpected Test

“Huu…” Nathan closed his eyes. He was rather speechless.

The original Nathan had turned back time so many times that he started losing his mind.

If there were immortal cultivators, they would probably just snort at him and think a few million years were nothing but a small portion of their lifespan.

But what he experienced was different.

The original Nathan was a normal human whose mindset was related to longevity.

At the same time, for an immortal, everything they did would help them progress. On the other hand, Nathan had done a lot of things in the last few hundred thousand reincarnations, but there wasn’t a single improvement.

In other words, he had hit a wall.

The biggest problem for Nathan was the fact that the original Nathan actually didn’t manage to kill Yog-Sothoth, let alone Azathoth.

He might not know Azathoth’s name, as he referred to him as ’Supreme Being.’

However, Nathan understood that there were a lot of things that the original Nathan hadn’t done.

The first one was to find Cthulhu. Cthulhu was supposed to be the key that led him to another world.

There were no mentions of aliens either, so there was no telling whether he found Evelyn or Luna in all those reincarnations.

Still, after all the sacrifices he had made, Nathan could say one thing. “Please rest well, me.”

While looking at the tear marks on the paper, he knew that the original Nathan was truly tired. He had no one to rely on because they couldn’t keep up.

That was why the original Nathan made some changes so that Nathan wouldn’t feel lonely.

Nathan closed the book. His eyes were still clear. There were a lot of traces of the original Nathan in the diary, but the information that was written on it was not something that could change Nathan.

The original Nathan might intend to write that way so that it wouldn’t confuse him. After all, the original Nathan wanted to erase his mark on this world.

He finally understood a lot of things from this diary.

The reason why he entered this world as a familiar, why the original Nathan never appeared before him, or why his original potential was altered.

The original Nathan had sacrificed his potential and life for the contracts.

However, the Soul Contract remained the same. And that contract couldn’t be changed because it was stuck to his body, not his soul. No, the original Nathan might have intentionally fused the Soul Contract to his body instead of his soul.

However, there was one thing that hadn’t been erased. It was the information of the original Nathan.

The original Nathan’s power had been recorded. The reason his absorption rate increased after a certain amount of ena was due to this stored information.

The world was the one altering his information, not the original Nathan.

“A lot of mysteries about his body had been explained. Though, there was no way to confirm whether the current Nathan was still living his first life or not.

After all, the original Nathan might have passed down an enormous amount of karma, but a lot of his karma had been tainted, which neutralized a portion of the good karma.

There were a lot of bad things he had done when he lost his mind.

So, there was no telling whether this amount of karma came purely from him or from the current Nathan as well.

Nevertheless, he was one step closer to the truth.

“Huu…” Nathan took a deep breath before raising his head and looking at the two beautiful women in front of him. “I’m back.”

“Are you all right?” Luna asked.

Evelyn walked up to him and asked a quick question to test him. “What is the cup size of Selena, Sera, Flora, me, Alavenya, Vivian, Bella, Luna, and Noelle in that order?”

“C, E, D, F, C, E, D, B, B,” Nathan answered in rapid succession.

“Why are you even asking this question? Even if he is affected by the diary, he still possesses that knowledge.” Luna was dumbfounded. Evelyn was weird for even asking that question.

Evelyn shook her head. “He definitely still possesses that knowledge, but he will never answer that question. Only our Nathan has thick enough skin to say that answer aloud.”

“Oh!” Luna nodded in agreement.

“Wait. What? That was your purpose? Also, Luna, why are you even agreeing to her?” Nathan was bewildered. “Do you think I’m some sort of pervert?”

Luna and Evelyn looked dumbfounded this time, wondering why Nathan asked such an obvious question.

“Okay, a little.” Nathan looked away. “But that’s not the point.”

“Well, I don’t care. That’s the easiest way to know about your state.” Evelyn shook her head. “I’m glad that you are fine.”

Nathan smiled wryly. That was true. “The original Nathan wrote this diary in a way that I wouldn’t be affected by him. All I could say was that he had worked hard enough that he deserved his rest.

“So as to respect his wish, I will be burning this book. Sorry that I can’t let you read the diary.” Nathan shook his head helplessly.

That also meant Elysion wouldn’t be reading this diary as well.

The original Nathan wanted to erase his trace in this world, and after all those sacrifices, he believed Elysion shouldn’t read it. The original Nathan probably didn’t want to let him know the burden that he had been carrying on his shoulders.

Evelyn and Luna felt a bit disappointed, but this was a decision they could respect. There must be a reason for Nathan not to let them read it.

Nathan summoned Jinwu, who then perched on his shoulder. “Jinwu. Can you burn this?”

“Sure.” Jinwu didn’t understand what was going on, but he simply incinerated the book. Nathan isolated the book inside his ena sphere until it was reduced to nothing.

Jinwu asked, “That’s your diary… No, Nathan’s diary, right? I don’t care about what kind of life it is, but does it have any information regarding our opponents… the aliens or the black cell?”
