Chapter 1541: A Badge
Chapter 1541: A Badge
“Father. I’ve got you your books.” Flora was also presenting the books to her father, King Julius.
The meeting was held in secret since she didn’t plan to turn this into a big achievement, especially in front of the nobles.
Flora knew her reputation skyrocketed the moment Nathan returned to the continent. Not only did he become so strong that no one could ignore him anymore, but he also brought a lot of things.
And this was just what Nathan had shown them. No one would be foolish enough to think that Nathan didn’t keep some secrets.
Julius nodded with a serious expression. “Thank you, Flora. Are you sure you don’t want your achievements to be recognized?”
“For what, exactly?” Flora shook her head helplessly. “I have done a great deal to step away from this cold place. I am living the best of my life right now, without having to think about politics.
“However, it doesn’t mean that I’m unaware of what’s going on around me. There are nobles who are trying to get close to me, thinking that I can become the monarch if I demand it.
“There are the nobles who are supporting my brothers and sisters coming to me.
“Fortunately, they are not foolish enough to dare to send an assassin to me. That’s why I’d rather keep this a secret.”
King Julius fell silent. He already knew Flora’s ambition.
She was a brilliant person with a queen quality. If she wanted it, she could become a much greater monarch than him.
However, her heart never belonged to the throne. It was as if her skills and heart were born differently.
Julius nodded in understanding. “I shall respect your wish. Still, I can’t ignore this achievement either. Is there anything you want? More land, gifts for your mother, or anything?”
Flora paused for a moment before revealing Nathan’s requests. “I want all the records that this kingdom has about the Asura Palace. Our kingdom is the oldest. I believe we have more records than any other kingdom.”
“Asura Palace? Why do you want to investigate the Asura Palace?”
Flora hesitated for a second. “We come to believe that the Asura Palace is holding a secret. This secret might lead us to the aliens.
“I’m not entirely sure about this matter either, but there is an alien surpassing the alpha class alien.”
“The apex class alien. Yes, I know them.” He nodded. There was currently no one capable of fighting an apex class alien if they were as described.
“There are actually more detailed classifications that Nathan has never published to avoid a great panic.” Flora sighed. “The alpha class aliens are aliens who have cultivated the power of rules. I believe that some of our world class summoners have gained this kind of power as well.
“Calling the apex class aliens as aliens who have more than a hundred million ena is probably too much.
“Rather, the aliens who have successfully cultivated this power and have formed their divine body. I believe they’re the real apex class aliens. It’s not necessary for them to have a hundred million ena.
“These kinds of beings should be the ones we call the apex class aliens. At this stage, you are basically able to dominate the entire world. According to Nathan, the scale of their power is truly what we call world class. It means their reach is our entire world, not just this land, but also the other four continents.”
“…” Julius’ expression turned grim. He might have underestimated the situation a bit too much. He never knew that this alien could be so scary.
Then again, there was also a comparison. According to the myth, an alien was responsible for creating portals that linked this world with their world.
“Are you saying this apex class alien is linked to the Asura Palace?”
“I’m not sure at the moment. However, if we venture deep into alien territory, we may end up finding one or two.
“But we should call ourselves lucky to find only them.”
“Only? What do you mean? Shouldn’t you feel lucky because there are not many of them in this world?”
“No. We are lucky because we don’t have to face aliens that are even more terrifying than an apex class alien.”
“What?” Julius widened his eyes in shock. He thought the apex class alien was already terrifying, but it turned out there were even more terrifying monsters.
“I can’t tell you any more than this.” Flora shook her head helplessly. “What I can tell you is that we’re planning to investigate the portals and plan to enter the alien world in the near future.”
“What? Isn’t that too dangerous? No one has ever ventured that deep, let alone found the portal or even entered the alien world. Why do you even need to do that? We can just wait for the next generation to pick up the fight, gradually fighting back and regaining our territory. Eventually, the portals will appear before us.”
Flora shook her head. “We might be dead before that. I don’t know how long we have right now, but it has come to my attention that a terrifying alien will descend upon our world.
“This alien is so strong that it can’t be classified as an apex class alien, not as something above that class, but it is one of the supreme rulers of the alien race. Its power is so powerful that it spans not just our world but the sun and countless stars in the sky.”
Julius dropped his jaw. “I don’t want to believe you, but you have never lied to me, Daughter.”
“That’s because I’m not lying to you right now.”
“And you intend to fight this alien?”
“If not, should I just accept my death? Should we?” Flora smiled wryly while looking away. “It’s going to be difficult. However, just like what our ancestors said. ’The chance to succeed only reaches 0 when you give up.’ That’s why I choose to die trying rather than giving up.”
Julius thought for a moment before taking out a cross badge from his pocket. “Take this.”
“What is this?”
“Go to Sixth Street. There is a small restaurant in a dark alley called Six Bears. Show this badge to the master there. You will figure out the rest.”
