“He’s running away!”
The soldiers were rushing toward the inn. Some summoners were also joining them. Nathan purposely chose this city because of its size.
As he expected, there were two strong summoners here. Although he didn’t know their level because of the distance between them, he knew they were too strong for them to kill.
Killing these two summoners would set the dynasty and the empire in motion after all.
Nathan looked at Bell Crusher, who was running away. Alex and the other two seemed to be retreating as well.
They looked so frustrated because they couldn’t find him.
’I see. It looks like we’re able to narrow down the list to only five people…’ thought Nathan.
Still, there was a problem with his current situation. He still needed to go to the empire, so he had to be careful to proceed, fully aware that the enemies would be on his tail.
After a few more minutes, Nathan took out his communication ring and sent a signal to Evelyn.
She picked it up almost in an instant. “What’s wrong?”
“Is everything alright there?”
“Yes. How about you?”
“It should be fine now. Are you alone?”
“Johnson is with me.”
Nathan thought for a moment before revealing his information, thinking it would be fine for Johnson to hear it as well. “They were able to pinpoint my location. It looked like there were indeed two groups escaping from the isolation.
“You mentioned Lala Sky previously, so I will give you one more name. Fated.”
“!!!” Johnson gasped. “Fated…”
“Do you know anything, Johnson? I have heard about her, but why are you reacting to that name?” Evelyn was taken aback by his sudden reaction.

“No, it’s the other way around.” Johnson was actually the one answering that question. “Lala Sky might be the fastest in the group, but Fated is the most unpredictable person.
“She moves by following her fate. You can say that she vaguely senses her fate. She knows whether she will die or not when going to the north.
“As expected, she was the one who created the plan for their escape. Fated must have sensed that if they struck the empire, they would be able to escape.”
“I assume that in the past few days, they actually regrouped and grabbed her to chase after me. They almost caught me, but everything is fine right now.” Nathan started to get the gist of the escape.

“May I ask your reasoning?”

Johnson realized Nathan was afraid that this connection would be tapped, so he didn’t give his exact location.
If the enemies didn’t know about his intention, it meant the communication ring was safe.

“Thanks. Also, are there any places where I can spend my money?”
Johnson certainly didn’t expect this question. Evelyn, on the other hand, knew how rich Nathan had become just by selling the cloud-repelling device.
As for Nathan, he had introduced himself as part of a merchant group, so it wouldn’t be weird if he had a lot of money.
“I will give you the list for that as well. You may take your pick later.”
“Thank you very much.” Nathan smiled. It looked like Johnson was indeed good at his work. He didn’t say anything unnecessary. If he wanted to say something, he might mix some lies so that even if the enemies knew about it, they might fall into his traps.
