Chapter 147: Lightning Plasma’s Truth

Had Torq been in charge of the Raid, he would have gone about the entire process differently. He wouldn’t split their forces. Instead, he would move ahead as one unit while constantly terraforming the weather of the region.

When a house is set on fire, the cockroaches within are either forced to flee out or burn to death. With the Settlement Leaders actually maintaining a thunderstorm, they could have remained hidden within the thundercloud, preventing info of their fighting strength from leaking out.

The evident feature of a Treasure was the pillar of light it released. The pillar of light released by a Minor Treasure spanned from a metre or two and reached as high as hundred metres.

This pillar of light would dissipate its presence into the surroundings, serving as a lure that brings in all living beings from an immediate region that could reach distances of up to a few hundred kilometres from the epicentre.

The presence dissipated by the Minor Treasure’s pillar of light was also capable of influencing creatures in proximity. Pranic Beasts had a solid chance of mutating from prolonged exposure.

Free Humans either obtained talents and physical traits related to their respective build, or in extremely rare cases, would even experience an enlightenment of sorts that allowed them to ditch their existing Human Avatar and forge a newer, stronger one, either from the same mineral, or an entirely new mineral.

Minor Treasures influenced living beings in their proximity.

Major Treasures, on the other hand, unleash a pillar of light that can pretty much extend into the void above Sumatra. The pillar usually spanned dozens of metres in girth and could be felt by living beings from tens of thousands of kilometres away easily.

Usually, multiple regions’ worth of living beings would promptly sense the appearance of a Major Treasure.

Both Minor and Major Treasures, once fused into a living being, stop releasing their pillar of light. For the pillar of light was a condensed presence they released in extreme concentrations. And the power necessary to keep it going came from them, in a process similar to nuclear fission and fusion.

Only by fusing into a living being could they recover this expended energy. And the recovery process spanned decades, if not centuries.

Generally, the moment they reveal themselves, every living being in the vicinity would clamour to fuse with it. If in a situation where no creature makes contact with it, a Minor

Treasure would keep unleashing its pillar of light for a few decades, past which it would crumble into powder, having fully consumed its fuel.

The stronger the Minor Treasure, the longer this duration.

A Major Treasure, on the other hand, had enough fuel to maintain its pillar of light for multiple millennia, and depending on its strength, could last even longer.

And of course, even if they weren’t fused into a living being, a Major Treasure was capable of replenishing its power. The way it went about this process involved the influence generated by its pillar of light.

Unlike Minor Treasures, the pillar of light unleashed by a Major Treasure didn’t affect living beings. Instead, it affected the terrain. Gradually, the terrain will morph after drinking its presence, and soon, will start radiating the same presence as the pillar of light.

Such a region was termed an Influenced Region. And the influence radiated by the Influenced Region would turn more surrounding terrain into its own, while also funnelling a portion into the Major Treasure, replenishing the latter’s fuel.

Generally, until this Influenced Region is fully built, the Major Treasure would operate conservatively. And once the Influenced Region is complete, it would release its pillar of light past the bounds of the Influenced Region, luring a suitable successor to fuse with.

Influenced Regions were as tough as the bodies of an Iron Grade Transcendent. They were pretty similar to the bodies of Transcendents and couldn’t be easily harmed by the natives of a continent.

And the reason Torq wanted the Lightning Plasma Spirit Pool all along, was due to the reason it was the concentrated extract of an Influenced Region. In essence, it was an Influenced Region Spirit Pool.

Meaning, if its properties were fully harnessed, the Depraved Humans could have been sealed within the Influenced Region created by the Lightning Plasma Spirit Pool, and actually reverse influence the Quills over time, until they were treated as a mere fuel source to propagate the Lightning Plasma Influenced Region better.

’It’s the most suitable ability to deal with the enemy.’ Torq grunted, ’And if the Influenced Region’s property is used well, it renders the Millinger’s Inhibition Dome useless.’

’Spirit Snapper already overpowers Inhibition Dome. And this will pretty much turn the Inhibition Dome useless against us.’ Thinking as such, Torq released a grand sigh, ’The moment I arrived in this world, so many things happened one after another, without giving me enough time to prepare.’

’Once this is done, I will take a breather and actually consolidate my powers.’ He thought, ’From then onwards, I can actually begin hunting for the Quills.’

As he fell deeper into thought, Torq noticed through the Narlakk Pet’s Prana detection means that the Mystic Humans had all arrived at a stop, in tension.

They all had extremely vexed expressions, cursing with a variety of emotional outbursts.

Using a periscope of water, Torq peered out of the water and gasped in shock, “How is this possible?”

Before them lay the ruins of a ginormous ship, the wreckage appearing as if it had been destroyed in a single blow. The cause for concern came from the origin of this ship, ’That’s the Brimgan Empire’s reinforcements!’

The submarine hurriedly surfaced as Torq peered out, in absolute shock, for the wreckage spanned a wide region, ’The Empire actually sent a lot of reinforcements.’

’However, all of them have been taken down!’ He looked around in tension, ’Something is here that is powerful enough to kill them all!’
