Chapter 113: Fruits, Pool, and Moss

Chapter 113: Fruits, Pool, and Moss

In the Gentle Coral tub before him, Torq dumped the blood collected from his Empyrean Snapper Pet. There was also a sludge belonging to the body, which he dumped casually, as it held lots of nutritional value.

Mystic Ravaged Art–Nectar!

Consuming the entirety of his actual body’s reserve of Prana, he condensed a droplet of Nectar and dripped it into the tub. It would serve as a stabilising agent, ensuring the quality of Prana contained within the blood wouldn’t break down over time.

He had already added a droplet of Nectar to it prior to storing it. This was to keep the Spirit Container stable.

The Empyrean Snapper Pet had a Spirit Container within the heart. He had carefully carved out the section of the heart wall where the Spirit Container was kept, which was as big as a grain of rice.

He had done so only after the blood extraction process. After barely keeping a couple units worth of Prana circulating through the Empyrean Snapper Pet’s blood, he extracted the heart wall holding the Spirit Container.

The Prana circulating through the blood healed the damage, but couldn’t regenerate the Spirit Container.

Regenerating a damaged Spirit Container was so easy, it happened naturally. However, it was impossible to build a Spirit Container if it never existed. Hence, even though there was still a unit of Prana circulating through the Empyrean Snapper Pet’s blood, it couldn’t regenerate its Spirit Container.

Moreover, without the Spirit Container, even the single unit of Prana within its body was acting as poison, for the aspect of the body, mind, and soul within it was harming it.

Torq’s Pets didn’t have a soul. They only had a soul fragment extracted out of his soul, barely enough to keep the Pet operational for as long as necessary. This soul fragment constantly depletes itself over time, as long as the Pet acts like a living being.

Torq could replenish this energy as long as the Pet stays within his Spirit Weapon range. ’The furball had the means to place a large enough soul fragment to keep the Pet operational for even a year, if necessary.’

’But I don’t have that level of skill.’ He thought, ’I think the most I can do is the very basic, which is to make the Pet survive for a day.’

He intended to improve upon it in the future. But at the moment, he had priorities. The Narlakk Pet was within his Spirit Weapon range, so by instinct–generated by his Primary Nature of Daily Pet–alone, he could replenish the soul energy.

The Empyrean Snapper Pet’s Spirit Container remained stable within the mixture. This is when the Narlakk Pet took action.

All the pollen it had collected from the Empyrean Snapper Pet gathered before it. And then, the Narlakk Pet happily absorbed it.

Normally, the Narlakk’s Pollen would be acted upon by an Empyrean Snapper’s Prana and considered as mere food. That’s why even a Narlakk that was boosted by a Quill struggled to affect Runthral.

But in the Empyrean Snapper Pet’s case, it followed Torq’s will, where he commanded its Prana to not act against the Narlakk Pollen. Hence, pollen bearing an Empyrean Snapper’s characteristics could be farmed.

By consuming this, the Narlakk Pet experienced an explosive increase in strength, attaining physical characteristics mirroring an Empyrean Snapper. This meant attaining complete control over Mystic Mist Art.

It could operate Mystic Mist Art on the level of an Empyrean Snapper. And casually, it could make a Cooter Clansman act subservient towards it, for it could make them perceive it as their Deity.

Aided by the boost, the Narlakk Pet began refining the Empyrean Snapper Pet’s blood. Everything within the Gentle Coral tub turned into a whirlpool. The Narlakk Pet was now at a level where it could properly unleash the effects of every Skill whose knowledge Torq had granted it.

Multiple Skills were fired off, causing a series of refinement, extraction, and molecular interaction. In an hour’s time, it had actually finished the process, succeeding in creating a High-Grade Elixir.

Low Grade Elixirs increase Prana capacity anywhere between 40-100 units of Prana upon consumption, and generally requires about a few weeks to a couple months of acclimation before another Elixir could be consumed.

A Mid-Grade Elixir could grant up to 400 units of Prana upon consumption. But the Spirit Container would need anywhere from one to three years of rest before another Elixir could be consumed.

A High Grade Elixir granted significantly more, and was capped at 800 units. They were incredibly expensive to create and were seldom consumed.

The High Grade Elixir created by the Narlakk Pet could grant a whopping 640 units of Prana upon consumption. The resting time was close to 8 years, before another Elixir could be consumed or for the Prana capacity to be improved upon steadily through training.

’The waiting time is significantly higher, but it’s alright.’ Torq chuckled, for he desperately needed the strength at the moment. As long as he could survive, he had the means to gather resources until it was time to improve his strength once again.

And that wasn’t all, as he also had the 10,000 Parute Fruits brought in by Runthral. He intended to first improve his strength using the Parute Fruits before relying on the Elixir.

He grabbed 100 Parute Fruits first and gobbled them up, following which he drank 20 millilitre of the Inertial Wave Spirit Pool, sending the mix to his stomach at the same time.

As the Parute Fruits got digested, they steadily began to build his Spirit Container by a unit’s worth. And simultaneously, the Inertial Wave Spirit Pool began to gather within the newly built portion.

Body, mind, and soul; the three aspects must be balanced enough for the Spirit Container to remain stable. Only by repeatedly using his abilities would he mentally and physically adapt to the power, at which point the Spirit Container would become stable.

It was a long, arduous process done through repetition. Of course, there were shortcuts to be taken, which was the Spirit Moss.

“Just by consuming this, I can strengthen the Spirit Container.” He sprinkled a pinch of the Spirit Moss in his mouth and waited for it to be digested, immediately feeling a mild sense of relaxation in his chest, ’This is working.’

“I’ll quickly build up strength next.” Upon successfully building his Spirit Container to now house two units of Prana and checking its structural integrity, Torq grinned in excitement. He eyed the Inertial Waves Spirit Pool before him for a moment and laughed, “I’ll build everything into my Spirit Container.”

Parute Fruits, Spirit Pool, and Spirit Moss; he began to consume them like a madman.
