Chapter 1105: A Peaceful Evening
"At the end of the day, the only opinion that really matters in this is yours and Jason’s. I know you’ve accepted us fully, but we know that Jason values your happiness far more than anyone else’s. I’ll be happy with any choice you make, so long as it makes Jason happy."
This was what Hesabeth had said when Gina asked for her opinion, and Riyala had added that she didn’t mind Jason getting another girl at all.
"Jason does his best to be there for all of us, even with all the responsibilities on his shoulders. If Agiel is willing to support him as well and she can help protect him, then I’ll welcome her into the family."
Riyala’s response was enough to get rid of Gina’s concerns, and Gina wasn’t surprised by Riyala’s stance since Riyala came from Radagan. It was common knowledge that the women on Radagan were very supportive of their husbands taking other wives. In fact, the women expected their husbands to take more wives to show how dominant and dependable he was, so Riyala didn’t mind at all! Gina felt a bit of relief knowing that her sister-wives were both okay with this as well. Gina had not yet fully accepted Agiel into the family, but Gina was now willing to see how things went.
Gina told Agiel about all this, and Agiel let out a sigh of relief as she nodded thankfully. Agiel had been sleeping when Hesabeth and Riyala left Earth to go back to their worlds, so Agiel decided she would meet both of them and introduce herself later.
This was how the conversation between the two women went, and at the end, Gina had opened her heart up to welcoming Agiel. But even though Gina was okay with Agiel being in the relationship, Gina still needed to talk to Jason about this and hear his side of the story, and that was why Gina had come out here to find Jason. A part of Gina had still been skeptical about the Soul Bond thing and how it worked, but once Gina heard Jason tell her all about it, she finally accepted that it was real and Agiel hadn’t lied to her at all!
"Are you really okay with this, Jason?"
Gina spoke up with a curious frown on her face. Gina was currently standing in front of Jason and leaning her back against Jason’s chest. Jason had his hands around her shoulders, and he was resting his chin on her head while looking out at the horizon. Gina held Jason’s hand and rubbed it gently as she waited for an answer, and Jason thought for a few seconds before he finally spoke.
"I won’t say I’m a hundred percent okay with it. At least I wasn’t at first. But now that I’ve actually done it and I understand what the Bond really is, I don’t think it’s so bad. Agiel’s love for me isn’t that different from regular love, and it’s not as if she was manipulated into loving me. It’s almost like... love at first sight, I think, and she just accepted the feelings in her heart a long time ago. I think it’s fine."
Gina nodded calmly as she gazed out on the massive field. The gentle breeze flowing through the valley caressed Gina’s face and made her hair flow softly, and Gina enjoyed the peaceful moment with Jason as she allowed the events of the past few days to sink in. Finally, Gina said:
"I told Agiel it was okay for her to join the relationship."
Jason hummed curiously. Jason didn’t think Gina would accept Agiel so quickly, especially with all the issues that the two women had in the past.
"Are you sure, though? Didn’t the two of you always have problems in the past?"
Gina rolled her eyes with a small laugh.
"I’ve had problems with every woman you’ve interacted with Jason. They all end up falling in love with you, and I’d get pissed off when they try to break us up. I don’t think you want to know how many times I had to chase girls away from pursuing you when we were in school together. Those floozies were always coming to ask me if you were dating anyone."
Jason blinked in surprise before he chuckled! So that’s why all the girls were so distant from Jason? Jason had honestly begun to worry about his school life because most of the girls in his high school simply refused to look him in the eye!
"So you’re the one responsible for scaring them off. And here I thought I was just intimidating."
Jason remembered that he was treated as some outlaw back in school by both the girls and boys. Jason understood the boys since he wasn’t a very easygoing person, but Jason had hardly interacted with the girls, so he had no idea why they were so scared of him! It turns out it was because of this little troublemaker! Gina shrugged innocently as she reached out and pet the head of a large snake that slithered up to them. The snake rubbed its scales against Gina’s hand and hissed playfully before it continued on its way.
Gina let out a small sigh as she felt like preserving this peaceful moment for a while longer, but Gina eventually had to bring up a serious matter.
"You’re leaving again, aren’t you?"
Gina spoke up calmly, and Jason just hummed in confirmation. There was no need to hide something that was so obvious from Gina. Gina let out another small sigh, and she didn’t even need to ask Jason if he would be taking her with him. Gina was already showing now, so she had promised herself that she wouldn’t be getting into any fights or any dangerous situation until the baby got here! But Gina was still worried about Jason. Jason could sense Gina’s worry, and he spoke up calmly.
"Don’t worry, I won’t be gone for too long this time. I just need to deal with the Celestial of Death once and for all. And once I’m done with that, I’ll pay someone a visit and come back right away."
Gina’s eyes narrowed when she heard Jason say he would visit someone, and she asked.
"Did the Legion find the world he was staying on?"
Jason’s lips turned up slightly as he felt a bloodthirsty feeling rising from deep inside him, and Jason held Gina tighter as he nodded once! The person that they were both talking about was the Mind Apostle that Jason had been searching for all this time. Although Jason had been inside the Celestial Cloud for only a few days, Jason’s Legion had been out here for a month, and they had finally managed to locate the exact world where the Mind Apostle was hiding!
It was a distant world in the Southern corridor of the Sixth Domain called Bri’nan, and it had once been home to an ancient civilization that had been eradicated by a mysterious disease eons ago! Right now, the largest kingdom in Bri’nan was being used by the Mind Apostle as his personal hideout, and Jason intended to pay that bastard a visit very soon. There were Legion subordinates surrounding Bri’nan at this very moment, and Jason had told all of them to keep their distance from the Mind Apostle so he wouldn’t suspect anything. Jason wanted to make sure the Mind Apostle couldn’t run away.
Gina nodded, and she just told Jason to be careful. Things were becoming a lot more dangerous out in the Primordial Expanse, and Jason was at the center of all of it. Gina wanted to make sure her child’s father didn’t throw his life away for anything! Jason kissed the top of Gina’s head and told her that she didn’t need to worry.
"Just give me a few days, babe. I’ll be back before you know it."
Gina hummed with an accepting smile, and she leaned back on Jason and continued to watch the peaceful evening pass by.
