Strongest Necromancer System
Chapter 1098: Your People Are Dead
Jason had been absolutely confused when he heard the term ’zeroth domain’ and Jason immediately asked the system what the hell that was. The system brought up a tab.
[The Zeroth Domain is a region outside of the Primordial Expanse that is commonly referred to as the ’Uncharted Zone’. It lies between the first domain and the Primordial Zone, and it had once been marked out to become the eleventh domain ruled by an extra overlord on the council. But due to multiple consistent disasters, that part of the Primordial Expanse became ungovernable and cruel. Now, it is home to multiple Primordial-level beings, pirates, mercenaries, and mass murderers who hide away from the civility of the Primordial Expanse.]
’It’s the underworld?’
Jason was in disbelief as he realised exactly what this zeroth domain was! It was basically the home to all the criminals that the Primordial Expanse had pushed out after the Period of Lawlessness ended! In that instant, Jason had a sudden, insane idea pop into his mind, and Jason almost got distracted from the conversation he was having as his mind raced about the possibilities, but Jason was brought back to the present as Agiel spoke up.
Agiel spoke to Jason through their mental link. ℴ
’His parents are most likely dead. I heard stories about the Celestial Hunt from a millennium ago, and that world was one of the first ones that the Celestial destroyed before he was lured towards the Ninth Domain to be sealed. He must’ve been looking for his parents back then too, and he killed them without even knowing.’
Jason just hummed in response. There was no remorse or pity in Jason’s heart at that moment. As far as Jason was concerned, the Celestial of Death didn’t deserve any of those things! At this point, the level of understanding was at 48%, but Jason knew that this was still not enough. Jason needed to go even further than that if he wanted a real chance at sending the Celestial of Death to the Celestial Realm, so Jason spoke up again.
"Your parents are dead."
Jason immediately revealed what Agiel had told him, and Agiel turned to him in shock when she heard it! Agiel didn’t think that Jason would break the news so suddenly, and she immediately turned towards the Celestial of Death to see what his reaction would be! The Celestial looked at Jason with a narrowed gaze and shook his head.
’You’re lying~’
There was sharp tension that was rapidly rising through the region, and Agiel took a step behind Jason as she felt the pressure coming from the Celestial increasing. It was obvious that he was pissed! But Jason didn’t seem to care about the Celestial’s anger as he continued!
"Why would I lie about something like this? Your power is dangerous enough to eradicate entire worlds from the map. Why did you think your own parents would be spared? You killed everyone in your world a long time ago, and you’ll accomplish nothing by travelling to the first domain -"
’SHUT UP~!!’
DOON!
A sudden pressure tore across the landscape as the Celestial glared at Jason angrily, and both Jason and Agiel were forced to take multiple steps back by the immense power! Jason spread out his mana to protect Agiel, and that was the only reason Agiel didn’t pass out immediately! Jason kept his glare in place as he watched the Celestial, and after a few seconds of just staring at each other, the Celestial finally turned away and began to float towards the darkness. This conversation was over!
This was how things stayed for the next day. The little boy did not want to speak to Jason or Agiel anymore, and both Jason and Agiel had simply used that time to try and scavenge for anything edible within this cloud. But after looking through every tree, they realised that there was nothing they could eat! There were a few fruits that they found hanging from dead trees, but the fruits looked diseased and poisonous, so they knew that eating them would be a death sentence!
So Jason and Agiel just did their best to conserve energy by sitting against rocks or trees and waiting patiently for the Celestial of Death to come back out and talk to them. In that time, Jason tried reaching out to Gina, but Jason found that he couldn’t communicate using their mental link from in here. In fact, Jason couldn’t even use his Legion skills to communicate with the subordinates outside in the real world. The subordinates inside Jason’s Alternate Dimension were all still in there, but the ones he left to guard Gina and his other loved ones were unreachable.
Jason put that thought away, and it wasn’t until the next day, while Agiel was sleeping with her head on Jason’s shoulder, that the little boy appeared before Jason again.
’Why did you come in here~?’
The boy had been thinking for a long time about what Jason and Agiel had told him. The truth of what he was and how he was causing a disaster in the real world were things that he couldn’t really wrap his head around! Since he couldn’t see out of this cloud and he only travelled using his sense of direction, he didn’t know how the people out there saw him! The only thing he saw were the dead bodies that were left behind!
Jason eyed the boy calmly while gently patting Agiel’s head. It had been about four days since they ate or drank anything by now, and Agiel was already getting very weak. Jason needed to finish this mission quickly and get out of this damn cloud. Jason considered what he should say next. Should he lie to the boy about their intention and try to make him lower his guard, or should he tell him the truth? Jason’s immediate decision was to lie since Jason didn’t know how the Celestial would react to their plan, and Jason didn’t think it was a good idea to make the Celestial even angrier. But after thinking about it for a few seconds, Jason decided that there was no use!
The look in the boy’s eyes told Jason that he already had an idea of what Jason would say, so Jason just came out and said it.
"We came to stop you from causing any more deaths. We have a power that can send you away from here and back to the place you were always meant to be. You were never meant to stay in the mortal plane. Your place is in the Celestial Plane."
There was a long moment of silence between the two of them that was only filled by the after-echoes of Jason’s words. Jason looked into the blood-red eyes of the celestial in front of them, and Jason knew that the boy could easily kill him and Agiel right now if he wanted to. But Jason wasn’t bothered by something like that because Jason knew the boy wouldn’t do it. The boy tilted his head to the side and said:
’Are my parents really dead~?’
Jason turned to the side for a moment before looking back and nodding.
"Yeah. Your power doesn’t discriminate. If you awakened as a Celestial in your home world, then they’re definitely dead."
Another moment of silence, and this time the boy seemed to be in deep thought for a long time about what Jason had just said. And then finally, he asked:
’And if you send me to the Celestial plane, will I ever be able to come back~?’
Jason shook his head and said no. Jason knew there were ways for Celestials to return to the mortal plane, but Jason didn’t want to let the boy know something like that. Jason was trying to make sure a disaster like this never happened again.
