Strongest Mage with the Lust system

Chapter 967: You Wanted A Taste? How Is It?

As Max walked through the Gu Family Estate, he came across some of the branch family members, his uncles, aunts and cousins. All of them supported worried frowns on their faces. The family’s condition was affecting everyone, the branch family member even more so.

At first, they didn’t recognise him, then like Gu Yinyin, his first sister-in-law, Shui Wuhen, and Gu Rong, they also became surprised.

"Third Young Master..."

"It’s great that you have recovered, Third Young Master..."

"Please take care of yourself Third Young Master..."

They greeted him, some more warmly than others. Max politely returned their greetings before reaching the main gate of the Gu Family Estate.

There, instead of hired guards, he saw two of his cousins standing there.

After conversing with them for a short while, reassuring them that he was fine and they needn’t accompany him, he walked out and headed toward the Market where his mother, step-mother, and Fourth Sister were, looking after their family’s three shops.

The Redwood city was very large and though there weren’t physical boundaries, it was divided into three sections.

First was the central region where the City Lord and other strongest families of the city lived.

Second was the middle region where middle tier cultivation families lived. Though this region couldn’t be compared to the Central Region in terms of prosperity and lavishness, it was levels above the outer region, where the minor cultivation families and weaker rogue cultivators lived.

Since three different classes lived in the city, they also had their own market places.

Gu Families’ shops were in the Outer Region’s market.

Following Gu Chen’s memories, he crossed the bustling and noisy market streets and arrived in a street that housed several restaurants and food shops.

Some restaurants and shops were more visually appealing than the others, but almost every one of them had several people dining in except for one—The Gu’s Spirit Fish Shop.

Save for a young woman standing outside the shop, waving the hand woven banner that showed a discounted price on Spirit Fish to attract customers, it was completely empty.

"Fourth Sister..." Max murmured when he saw her. She was Gu Lan, seventh and last progeny of late Patriarch Gu and the Fourth Sister of Gu Chen.

Because she was the youngest, a year younger than Gu Chen, everyone doted upon her a lot. Max remembered she was a lively, carefree and mischievous girl, never taking anything seriously and doing what her heart desired.

Someone like her wasn’t suitable to carry any responsibility nor would they want it, but now... here she was, looking after an entire shop on her own.

She was clearly exhausted and covered in sweat, but was still forcing herself to stand straight with a polite smile on her face as she tried to attract customers.

Max’s heart ached for her.

"Sigh, the Gu Family is really done for." Max heard someone sigh in a shop he passed by.

"It was only expected. Not only did they lose their only Bone Refinement realm cultivator, their fiercest allies stabbed them in the back. How sad is that."

Just as Max was about to ignore them and head toward the Gu family’s shop, he heard a voice which stopped in his tracks.

"What do you say we capture that Gu girl? She is quite a beauty. Moreover, she is the main lineage member of the Gu family so she must taste really good."

Max looked over and saw three men sitting around a table in an inn across the street, eating and drinking as they eyed Gu Lan lecherously.

The one who had spoken was a dark-skinned, thin man with a disgusting scar over his neck.

"However tempting the thought is, I suggest we don’t do it. It’s too risky." A short, chubby man said with a look of caution, but when he looked at Gu Lan, his eyes also lit up with desire.

"What risk is there? She is just a girl from a family on the verge of destruction. I doubt they would take us to ask because of one little girl in Muscle Refinement?" The dark-skinned thin man scoffed. He then looked at the third man on the table, a grim-looking, burly guy, "What do you say we do, Tie Xiong?"

The burly man took a sip of his alcohol, then looked at Gu Lan in the distance. "I want to taste her first. Tell me if you agree—"

Before he could finish the sentence, he saw a thin but handsome young man appear before him, looking down at him expressionlessly.

Just as he frowned in displeasure and wanted to scold him because he had blocked his view of Gu Lan, he saw the man’s hand move, then...

Bang!

Crack!

A punch landed on his jaw and a crisp cracking noise sounded—his jaw had broken.

"You wanted a taste? How is it?" Asked the handsome, thin man who was none other than Max, his voice flat.

The trio stared at him, stunned. Then their expressions darkened.

Bang!

Tie Xiong’s heart burned in rage and humiliation. He slammed the table hard, causing it to crack and splinter, and stood up, shouting, "Yo ban do die, bastald?!"

"If you don’t know how to speak, keep your mouth shut." Max remarked and Tie Xiong’s face turned as dark as the bottom of a wok.

"I bill till yo—"

Slap!

He shouted, his blood and spit flying about. Just as he was about to raise his hand and punch Max, Max’s hand flashed and a slap landed square on his cheek.

Crack! Pu!

A cracking sound echoed and several teeth flew out Tie Xiong’s mouth while his head flipped to the side from the force of the slap.

Bang!

Crack!

Thud!

"Argh!"

Without giving him a chance to recover, he kicked him in the chest. His ribs snapped from the force before he was sent hurtling backwards and thudded to the ground, groaning in pain.

Max then proceeded to ignore and looked at the dark-skinned and chubby duo, both of whose faces blanched upon seeing how easily he had thrashed their strongest companion.

Seeing Max looking at them...

Thud! Thud!

Both of them fell to their knees and cried, "S-Senior, please forgive us this one time. We won’t dare offend you again."
