Chapter 1213: Leave!

  • Next Chapter

"What did you tell him?" Abyssal Depths asked with urgency. She had noticed that Kyle had talked with the Minor Immortal from Extended Family, but she hadn't been involved in the conversation. "Do we need to leave?"

Sebastian simply looked at Kyle with a bit of worry.

Team Wooly Sheep had also noticed that Kyle had come into contact with Extended Family, and they were also a bit nervous. Originally, they had planned to let the other team deal with Extended Family, but after Kyle had given them the Energy Source, they felt a bit bad.

Green furrowed his brows as he looked at the ground for a moment. Most likely, the Minor Immortal would arrive within a couple of minutes. This was more than enough time to flee. If they simply went to another Planet, they could avoid the Minor Immortal.

But for how long? They were bound to meet other teams, and these other teams wouldn't keep their location secret unless they had an incentive.

"Kyle, we need to plan!" Abyssal Depths transmitted. "We need information to plan! Is he going to attack us?"

Team Wooly Sheep could tell that the other team was in immense danger just based on the mood. Something inside them told them that they should throw caution to the wind and help them. With five Adept Immortals and three Beginner Immortals who could fight Adept Immortals, they would have a chance. Three Adept Immortals could fight one Minor Immortal.

However, the chances that all of their Avatars would survive were low. At least some Avatars would be killed in the battle.

Lost Energy Stones could be reclaimed, but a destroyed Avatar couldn't be recreated.

Yet, they also felt like they were supposed to help. It just seemed like the right thing to do.

Sadly, doing the right thing wasn't always the right thing to do.

"We're sorry, but we can't support you in this conflict," the Leader of Team Wooly Sheep transmitted. "If I were by myself, I would help you, but I can't risk the lives of my companions. I have a duty and responsibility to fulfill."

Green narrowed his eyes as he looked at the ground. As more time passed, the other members became more anxious.

"I need to deal with something," Green transmitted before running out of the Excursion Lobby.

At the same time, Red and Blue looked at everyone around them. "I need all of you to leave the hole and retreat to a considerable distance. You can't approach the hole at all. You can't even be close enough to sense it."

The others looked at Kyle in horror. They were supposed to leave him alone?

"Are you planning to sacrifice yourself?" the Leader of the other team asked.

"This is stupid!" Abyssal Depths transmitted. "We can retreat! We can get into contact with a more powerful team on the Planet and offer them resources to protect us. They wouldn't even need to fight! As long as they say that he's not allowed to come here, they wouldn't have lost anything. This Planet is dangerous for Minor Immortals anyway!"

"Kyle, be reasonable!"

"I'm not sacrificing myself!" Kyle transmitted to both of them. "You think I ran out of the Excursion Lobby with Green because I'm trying to chase after him? No, I have to organize some things. I'm not planning on dying just yet. I need all of you to leave for my plan to work. If you're still here by the time he arrives, I can't give any promises that will assure you."

"I have a way to deal with this situation, but it won't work if you're here! The best thing you can do is leave! I will come find you later!"

"This is stupid!" Abyssal Depths transmitted with anger. "There are three Minor Immortal Avatars coming after you!"

Sebastian glanced at Abyssal Depths. Kyle had put her through some tests before, but he could tell that this was not a test. He could also tell that Abyssal Depths wasn't trying to manipulate Kyle in any way. She genuinely wanted to help.

"Trust him," Sebastian transmitted to her. "If he says he has a way to get out of this, he has one. This is not some kind of test to see how you would react under stress. The best thing we can do is to leave him for now."

Abyssal Depths remained silent for a moment as she took a deep breath. She hated this. She had the highest level within the team, but while one of her teammates was facing a powerful enemy, she was supposed to run and hide?

"How will you deal with the situation?" she asked.

"I have my ways," Kyle answered. "I'll not share any details. Now, leave!"

Kyle turned to Team Wooly Sheep. "You also need to leave! I will get back to you later."

The Leader of Team Wooly Sheep and Spring of Joy looked at Kyle with furrowed brows.

"As you wish," the Leader said before ordering her team to leave the big hole.

"I hope you can get out of this," Spring of Joy transmitted.

Team Wooly Sheep left, leaving Team Ankylosaurus alone.

"You two also need to leave," Kyle transmitted to Abyssal Depths and Sebastian.

Abyssal Depths glanced at Sebastian. She knew that the two of them were close friends, but Kyle had even asked him to leave. Did he have even more secrets?

"Let's go," Sebastian said, pulling on Abyssal Depths with his Energy.

Abyssal Depths glanced at Red and Blue for a moment. "I really hope you know what you're doing."

Then, she left with Sebastian. The two of them left the hole and followed Team Wooly Sheep.

"Is this just false bravado?" Abyssal Depths asked Sebastian.

"No," Sebastian answered with furrowed brows. "He has a way to deal with this situation."

"Do you know of this way?" she asked.

Sebastian nodded wordlessly.

"Then, why did he send you away as well? You could've helped him," she asked with furrowed brows.

Sebastian's eyes narrowed. His teeth subtly clenched as a memory resurfaced in his mind.

He remembered looking at an enraged Kyle, who was swinging his hammer right at Sebastian. Sebastian hadn't been able to move. After all, Fox had kept him locked in space...

The hammer stopped. Sebastian looked at Melanie and Kyle. He wanted Fox to die, even if he had to die as well.

But Fox had survived, and so did Sebastian and Melanie.

If Fox hadn't used Sebastian as a hostage...

If Sebastian had been stronger...

If Melanie hadn't been there...

Kyle wouldn't have needed to keep himself in check, and Fox would have died.

It was true that Sebastian knew what Kyle would do. He knew all of Kyle's secrets. Yet, Sebastian knew that he also had to leave. After all, if he didn't leave...

The same situation might occur again.

"He sent me away for the same reason he sent you away," Sebastian answered.

"Which is?" Abyssal Depths asked.

"He doesn't want us to die."
