Strongest Hammer God
Chapter 1182: Specializations
Black's team exited the red building and stepped onto the scaly surface of the... Planet.
Technically speaking, this was not a Planet. It was a massive lifeform created by the new members of the Cult. These Planet-like lifeforms were not exceptionally powerful and lacked intelligence, but they had been instrumental to the Cult's victory in the other Cosmos.
These things absorbed Energy and transformed it into broken fragments of Energy. These fragments were harvested and distributed to different lifeforms that functioned with these Energies. By giving the lifeforms different fragments of Energy, they could reduce the total Energy in the Cosmos. This was similar to taking a bill and cutting it into ten pieces, which were handed to ten different people. One person got all of the right pieces, while another one got all of the left pieces. Even though all of the people had millions of pieces, none of them had a bill.
These fragments could be put together again, but recreating the Energy required the Cosmos to manipulate Energy in a way it was not designed to. If the Cosmos ignored the fragments, it would slowly lose Energy. If it tried to take its Energy back, it would need to work much harder, which would increase the Energy cost of keeping reality running. In the worst case, this could even lead to parts of reality breaking apart, which would further destabilize the Cosmos.
These organisms didn't do anything with the fragments. They didn't become stronger, just bigger. Like a tumor, they just kept growing and growing. With these things, the Cult could actively damage the Cosmos' supply of Energy.
Kyle walked across the massive, scaly organism, which was called a Harvester, and entered a different building. As soon as he entered, his new Communicator gave him access to new information, which was basically just the ruleset for the screening of the FAD.
'I have to be inside my designated Workshop and am not allowed to leave with any of my Avatars. If any of my Avatars leave my Workshop alone, I will have failed the screening. I'm not allowed to share any of the information contained in the Communicator. I have to create ten different Formation Arrays, and I only have ten sets of materials for each Formation Array. If I can't create one of the Formation Arrays for any reason whatsoever, I will have failed, and I will have to reimburse the Cult for the cost of the Formation Arrays and the materials wasted.'
One of Black's brows rose as he focused on one of the rules in particular.
'If any of my Avatars leave alone...' Kyle repeated in his head. 'So, I can actually leave the Workshop, but I have to leave with all of my Avatars.'
Kyle looked around as a couple of "Immortals" walked through the building. While they had the Energy Density of Immortals, their auras felt exceptionally strange. All of their auras felt fragmented or weak. In a way, they seemed like people in False Realms. Their auras said that they were not supposed to be Immortals since they didn't fulfill the basic requirements.'Biased, aren't we?' Kyle thought. 'Your people don't have Avatars. They have to stop their studies if they want to go somewhere else. Would suck if the actual Immortals could gain new information, look at relevant Laws, and experiment with the Formation Arrays at the same time.'
'I mean, from a different viewpoint, you could call it fair. It's just that...'
Kyle looked at one of the False Immortals. Even though their aura was fragmented, the speed at which they condensed Energy was ten times as fast as it was supposed to be.
'Your people still get to use their Specializations!'
The man had told Kyle a bit about the new members and their unique powers. One of these powers was called Specializations. In the other Cosmos, people could manipulate their versions of the Aspects of Power. For example, the False Immortal was currently routing all of his Energy into the Aspect that represented his Energy Storage.
His body was as weak as the body of a Primal. His perception didn't stretch past his skin. His mind was as slow as the mind of a Mortal. Yet, the speed at which he generated Energy was crazy.
When this False Immortal needed money, he could generate Energy Stones ten times faster than an Immortal. When this guy needed to learn, he could put all of his Energy into his mind. When he needed to sense something, he could see even farther than an Immortal.
'I can't use the advantage of my Avatars, but your people can use their advantage of Specializations,' Kyle thought. 'Actually, why am I even surprised? He did say that the factions were isolated. Apparently, the Demigod leaders are working together, but their individual factions don't want to work with each other. All of them want to prove that their way is the best way to win this war.'
'They don't want me here, but the Cult says that power reigns supreme. I will have it much harder than the other people here, but if I can still win, they will accept me.'
'Sure, I'll play your game. As long as I'm capable enough, I can get almost everything in the Cult.'
The Abyss Hammer Team kept walking as several False Immortals threw annoyed glances at them. This guy had Avatars, which meant that he was part of the original Cult. The original Cult had been here for an eternity, and they still hadn't made any progress! These useless people couldn't even destroy this Cosmos after five billion local Cosmos years!
If their team had been here from the beginning, they would've already emptied this Cosmos of Energy ten times over!
Black's team walked down a couple of hallways before they entered their designated Workshop. As soon as they entered, their Communicators shared the information about the first Formation Array they had to create.
The goal was to create a Formation Array that could launch a reality-distorting blast. Space, Time, and Gravity Energies had to be distorted in such a way that nothing could keep cohesion within the distortion. As long as the Formation Array could do this, the task would count as completed.
However, the Communicator also contained a blueprint for a Formation Array that could fulfill all of these criteria. Kyle didn't need to use this blueprint, but he could.
As Kyle looked at the blueprint, he furrowed his brows.
'What the fuck?' he thought as his three Avatars squinted their eyes.
The blueprint was...
'Can Immortals get strokes?' Kyle thought.
He felt like he was supposed to understand this Formation Array, but he didn't understand it.
He felt like he was hearing something that sounded like English but couldn't understand even a single word.
It was like every letter made perfect sense, but as soon as he looked at the word, none of the letters made sense anymore.
'Bro, what the fuck is this Formation Array? It makes no fucking sense! It's like somebody is trying to write an English sentence with hieroglyphs.'
'Dude, I have to create this Formation Array and see this shit for myself! I swear, if this thing actually works...'
'Actually, never mind. I shouldn't make more oaths.'
The author's patreon. If he gets more than 1000€ per month, he will increase the number of words in the chapter.
