STRIKER: Independent Beast Tamer
Chapter 1157: Head Pierce
City A (4th Zone)
Beast Tamer Oren left his room in the morning. He had a personal task to do, and his team members had been calling him.
However, he ignored all their calls, as he was more interested in finding out the identity of the Tier-4 Beast Tamer who had ignored him.
He came to the family dining table for breakfast. Along with his father and mother, his siblings were waiting for him. He talked to them before sitting at the table.
The family head was an old man in his sixties, and his wife was of a similar age. The family head’s name was Pierce, a Tier-8 Beast Tamer.
He looked at his second son, Oren, before starting to eat. Everyone started eating right afterward.
Head Pierce watched his son Oren from time to time; he could tell that the boy was disturbed by something.
He knew what it was because the butler had told him everything earlier. He had found out the identity of the Tier-4 Beast Tamer and decided to warn his son before he did anything foolish today.
"Oren, I heard everything from the butler. There is no need for you to take action against the Tier-4 Beast Tamer; I have already spoken to the Manager. He has reserved a special practice room for you. You can use the chamber today," Pierce said.
Hearing that, Oren was taken aback. He looked at his father, stunned that he was being given this advice.
"No need to take action against the Tier-4 Beast Tamer? What does that mean?" Oren asked. He was confused because their family’s background was not weak either.
His elder brother and younger siblings were surprised; they hadn’t expected Oren to talk back. Head Pierce and his wife exchanged looks.
"I know what happened yesterday. You created a scene in the Beast Taming Association," Pierce said in an angry tone.
Oren took a deep breath before saying, "It’s not the first time I have asked others to vacate the special practice room, and none of them ever filed a complaint against me. Did anyone do it today?" he asked.
Hearing that, everyone at the table was surprised. The elder and younger siblings all looked toward their father.
Head Pierce said, "Forget about this matter. Don’t do anything else."
"I’m going to confront the Tier-4 Beast Tamer. He refused to give me face, and I won’t forget it. I’ll make him apologize," Oren replied.
Head Pierce looked into his son’s eyes, then finally yielded, saying, "Okay, but don’t do anything else. If he apologizes, let him go."
Oren nodded, and everyone resumed eating.
Head Pierce knew the background of the Tier-4 Beast Tamer and knew that the special base should not be offended.
However, after digging up information on him, he found out the Beast Tamer’s family was not that big, yet the kid had still ignored his son. Family Head Pierce’s ego took a hit as well.
If someone from the special base looked down on his son, the news would inevitably spread. If not for the special base identity, he would have sent a few family members to seek justice.
Since it was the special base, he could not act so rashly. The special base elders might get offended, so the Family Head was ready to settle for an apology.
It was just a small matter at the family table; they had much more important things to discuss.
One hour later.
Beast Tamer Oren went to the Beast Taming Association. This time, the Manager greeted him with a smile. Oren smiled back and didn’t bring up yesterday’s events.
He went to the special practice facility right away and looked toward the room. It was the same room the Tier-4 Beast Tamer had used yesterday, but it was available now.
Swoosh!
He walked over and used his golden card to enter the special chamber. The door shut automatically behind him, and he began to practice inside.
Not long after, his friends entered the association. They saw the Manager but didn’t go to the special practice rooms. Instead, the nine of them went to the lobby’s sitting area and sat down.
Today, they weren’t going to do any tasks. They were here to support their friend Oren, and they started chatting and laughing right away.
However, the Manager was paying attention to them. He felt something was wrong. He had heard from Family Head Pierce earlier.
He had received a lot of scolding and threats from Pierce, but because he had the support of the Head of the Association, he had talked back.
In the end, a compromise had been reached. He had agreed to let Pierce’s son use the special practice chamber. Right now, however, the Manager thought something was off.
He immediately took out his device and went to an isolated place to call the Head of the Beast Taming Association. He reported everything.
When the Head of the Beast Taming Association heard the news, he was angry; he didn’t expect Head Pierce to scold someone under him.
Like the City Governor, he didn’t want any infighting. Otherwise, he would have canceled the golden cards of that family.
The Head instructed the Manager to look after Beast Tamer Jeremy Night. He knew those people were narrow-minded and might go after the kid.
He also knew more than Head Pierce did: Jeremy Night was a talented Beast Tamer who could fight across tiers and had his name on the Leaderboard Rankings.
Jeremy had a high chance of entering the top three zones, and it would be a mistake to offend someone like that.
When the call ended, the Manager sighed in relief.
With the backing of the Head of the Beast Taming Association, he was not afraid of the others. If those people were up to something, they were going to regret it deeply.
Every time before, they had escaped consequences for their bullying and abuse of power, but the Manager thought they were going to hit an iron plate this time.
Confident, he returned to the admin desk and told the staff not to worry about anything.
