Meanwhile, the Tier-9 Corrupted Beasts lurking near the edge of the Spiked Tiger Beast’s territory were watching the fight as well. They were waiting for an opportune moment.

They realized they had missed their window to strike. The Tiger Beast had regained absolute control over its territory.

After warning the onlookers, the beast turned back toward its domain. It locked its gaze onto the remaining Tier-8 and Tier-7 beasts standing a couple of hundred meters away.

These beasts had not taken part in the revolt. It sent a telepathic command ordering them to assemble in one place.

Upon receiving the command, the beasts obeyed immediately. They left their shelters and moved toward the open plains at the center of the territory.

Boom!

The news spread across the domain. The beasts living within the Tiger Beast’s territory began gathering in one location.

Everyone realized that the revolt had failed. Now, the Tier-9 Tiger Beast was furious. Naturally, it was going to vent its rage on City A.

Meanwhile, the Tier-9 Tiger Beast kept its ability active. It continued to survey its territory, leaving its den to begin a patrol.

It did not take long for the beast to discover a new problem: a few beasts had fled into neighboring territories. Discovering this made the Tier-9 Tiger Beast even angrier.

It knew how difficult it had been to gather this many beasts. Originally, most of them were not native to the region; the Tiger Beast had subdued them after they trespassed on its land.

Thus, it was infuriated to know that some had escaped. If it wanted to restore its forces, it would have to capture and subjugate more beasts.

Such a process could take several days or even a month, but the Tier-9 Tiger could not afford to wait that long. It wanted revenge against City A as soon as possible.

It still did not know what had transpired at the border. Before it could investigate, some of the Tier-8 beasts had used the confusion to rebel.

The Tiger Beast finished its patrol and returned to the main gathering area. More than fifty corrupted beasts had assembled.

Most of them were Tier-8 and Tier-7 beasts. Wanting answers, the Tiger Beast began interrogating the Tier-8 beasts.

A Tier-8 Hybrid Dog shrank under the Tiger Beast’s piercing gaze.

The Hybrid Dog communicated back tremblingly.

The Tiger Beast was stunned. It proceeded to question the other Tier-8 beasts. Every single one of them bore injuries sustained from the human’s attacks.

The Tier-9 Tiger Beast was alarmed. It had not anticipated that a human Tier-9 Beast Tamer would enter the battlefield.

It was unsure whether the human powerhouses had formally decided to intervene.

Human powerhouses had attempted to capture it multiple times in the past, but they had always failed; it had always slipped from their grasp. It decided to take a brief pause.

It knew that a human Tier-9 Beast Tamer would not dare venture too deep into the uncharted lands.

Other Tier-9 beasts inhabited this wilderness, and they would never tolerate the presence of a human Tier-9 Beast Tamer in their domain.
