Chapter 1145: The Tier-8 Beasts’ Revolt

The Tier-9 Spiked Tiger Beast was resting in one of the other hideouts located deep inside the unknown land.

The hideout was a dark, creepy underground cave, but the natural energy inside the place was rich.

Something deep inside the cave was supplying pure natural energy to the area.

That was why the Tiger Beast had chosen it as one of its resting spots. Not only that, but other corrupted beasts would also be attracted to the place.

Earlier, the beast had come down to look for food. It had taken a short break from the frontline because it was bored out there.

It didn’t think much of the changes that had happened at the frontline. The Tier-8 beasts were enough to handle the matter.

It thought that the Tier-8 Beast Tamers on the human side would fall short in numbers. It would only be a matter of time before they became defenseless.

Once the rest of the Tier-8 beasts occupied the inner area and core area, they would charge at the city.

So far, the higher-tier beasts had been strictly following orders. The Tier-9 Spiked Tiger stopped paying attention to the outside situation for some time.

However, it didn’t take long for the Tier-8 beasts to return to the unknown land. They had escaped from the border.

They hadn’t expected the human Tier-9 Beast Tamer to launch a sudden attack on them.

Right now, these higher-tier beasts-including Tier-8 and Tier-7 beasts were reappearing in large numbers.

The unknown land was vast. Most of the beasts were going back to their old habitats, but the rest were venturing into other areas of the vast wilderness.

These beasts didn’t want to be controlled by the Tier-9 Spiked Tiger Beast. They knew that the Tiger Beast held a grudge against the city.

If they returned to the same place, the Tier-9 beast would definitely send them back to attack the city again.

The Tier-9 Spiked Tiger Beast was disturbed by a noise coming from the ground; it picked up the vibrations.

It was caused by the mass movement of beasts from one place to another.

At first, the Tier-9 Spiked Tiger Beast thought it was a group of other Tier-8 beasts. Obviously, the unknown land was vast.

Beasts could be migrating from one place to another, or there could be another Tier-9 beast behind it.

It didn’t have control over the whole region; it only controlled certain areas. Naturally, it didn’t want to trespass.

If there was another Tier-9 beast behind this movement, crossing paths would lead to a fight.

There was an unwritten rule among them: no one would interfere in each other’s affairs. Like the Tier-9 Tiger Beast, other Tier-9 beasts had their eyes on City A.

However, they were not in a hurry like this Spiked Tiger. The Tiger Beast wanted revenge, whereas the others wanted to destroy the city for the sake of their beast population.

They knew the humans were keen on expanding their territories into the unknown land. The size of the wilderness had shrunk over time.

So, the other beasts were minding their own business for now. Only the Tier-9 Spiked Tiger Beast wanted quick results.

It had dispatched the higher-tier beasts in those areas to the city earlier and was awaiting the outcome. But it didn’t take long for the beast to notice something was wrong.

It sensed beasts returning to their habitats in the areas under its own control. The Tier-9 Spiked Tiger was confused for a second.

It didn’t know what was going on. It had mistaken the movements of these beasts for those belonging to other territories.

It didn’t take long for the Tiger Beast to realize its mistake. Something had happened at the border that it didn’t know about.

Boom!

The next moment, the eight-foot-tall beast walked out of the hideout. It was already nighttime. The beast began marching toward the border.

The movement of the beast produced a powerful shockwave. The oppressive pressure of a Tier-9 beast erupted from its body.

The coercion spread outward, devastating the surrounding area and uprooting green patches from the ground.

The Tier-8 beasts that had returned felt the presence of the Tier-9 beast, and they all quieted down. These beasts did not try to escape into other areas.

They were terrified of the Tier-9 Spiked Tiger. Yet, some of the beasts crossed paths with the Tiger Beast right then.

Roar!

The Tier-9 Spiked Tiger Beast’s eyes turned bloodshot. It swept its massive claws toward the nearby beasts.

Cut!

The Tier-8 beasts were smaller in size compared to the Tier-9 beast. They were all swept away by the claws.

Boom!

The claws cut through their bodies. The impact sent the beasts flying backward, and they landed on the ground with heavy thuds.

The shockwave spread across the area, obliterating the large shade trees and other enormous trees nearby.

Some of the beasts wanted to fight back. They were all close to the Tier-8 limit-only one step away from becoming Tier-9 beasts.

Yet, the Tier-9 Spiked Tiger Beast had previously kept them under its command as well. These beasts seized the opportunity to revolt.

Roar!

The Tiger Beast wasn’t intimidated; it charged at them. A massive fight broke out. The revolting Tier-8 beasts ganged up against the Tier-9 Spiked Tiger.

Boom!

However, the Tier-9 Tiger Beast easily thwarted their attacks with sheer Tier-9 strength. Its bloodline pressure bore down on the revolting beasts.

They could not fully control their own bodies, and the Tiger Beast used this opportunity to strike them down.

Puckak!

Claws sliced through flesh and bone. Severed limbs fell to the ground as torrents of blood stained the earth.

The weaker beasts watching the fight from afar did not dare move from their spots.

Some were Tier-8 beasts, but they had not reached the peak level of the revolting beasts; they were still far from their limit.

Meanwhile, the fighting was sensed by beasts in other areas. They knew the territory of the Tier-9 Spiked Tiger, and those close to the border began retreating.

On the other hand, the Tier-9 Spiked Tiger’s battle disturbed several other sleeping Tier-9 beasts. They opened their eyes to watch the fight.

If the Tier-9 Spiked Tiger became weakened, they could attack it and claim its territory. These Tier-9 beasts were waiting for their chance as well.
