Dave’s Lab

Jeremy Night was shocked. He hadn’t expected the golden card to be this valuable. To be honest, he needed this card.

Stella liked the environment here. If he got time to spend in the practice chamber, there would be more pure and natural energy.

Stella could accumulate more energy than in the special energy environment.

Elder John saw Jeremy Night’s reaction. He didn’t know why but he thought it was important to the young man.

"Jeremy, thank Senior Dave. It’s not easy to get a golden card. Even the children of influential families would have a hard time getting one," John said.

Hearing that, Jeremy Night thanked Senior Dave.

"Don’t mention it. Here, take the card. I will talk to the admin there. Once you visit the Beast Taming Association to meet him, he will update your details on the card," Senior Dave said.

Hearing that, Jeremy Night accepted the card and thanked him once again.

A few minutes later,

Elder John and Jeremy Night left Dave’s Lab. They came to the main street, but they couldn’t find a cab.

John turned toward Jeremy Night.

"I brought you here to get a breath of fresh air, but I didn’t expect Senior Dave to give you the golden card. I think he must have connections with the higher-ups of the Beast Taming Association," John said.

"It’s a good thing for you. It can save you a lot of time. The arrival date of the guests from the top three zones has not been announced yet."

"If you are able to become a Tier-4 Beast Tamer before that, then Elder Sandra and I can do some lobbying. With the completion of the special mission, you really did prove yourself."

"Instead of wasting time here in the special base, if you enter one of the top three zones, you can become a Tier-5 and Tier-6 Beast Tamer faster."

"I don’t know about your Lifeline beast, but I believe its bloodline must be higher. That’s why you can fight across Tiers using the beast ability."

"So Elder Sandra and I have decided to support you. All you have to do is break through to Tier-4 as soon as possible. But don’t put too much pressure on yourself."

"Even if you don’t break through, we have the influence to get you into a bottom-tier organization in the Tier-3 zone," John said, speaking his mind.

This time, he didn’t hide anything; he shared everything. Elder Sandra and he had already seen Jeremy Night’s potential.

The special mission was one such test. After seeing the new map and footage, John thought Elder Sandra would be firm in her decision.

Jeremy Night heard everything from beginning to end. He couldn’t believe he was getting one piece of good news after another.

He knew Elder John supported him, but he hadn’t expected both Elder Sandra and John to be rooting for him. Then he thought of something else.

He asked, "What about the leaderboard rankings?"

John smiled and said, "With the reward from the special mission, your ranking will shoot up into the top 50. That will be enough for recruitment."

"The golden card gift was unexpected. Since you have this card, let’s go to the Beast Taming Association to register your name."

"I have decided to give you a one-week break here. I will pay for the hotel stay in the Sunset Hotel, including the food and other facilities."

"You just have to focus on training inside the special practice room," John added.

Jeremy Night didn’t decline the help; he accepted it. Since the opportunity had come to improve himself, he was not going to shy away from accepting the help.

"Okay. I will work hard," Jeremy Night replied.

His eyes flashed with determination. Stella, who was steadily absorbing the natural energy, heard the conversation as well.

She was excited to get more natural energy. Soon, a cab stopped in front of them.

Next, they hopped inside the cab and were on their way toward the Beast Taming Association.

Jeremy Night watched the passing view. It was going to be his first time visiting the Beast Taming Association. He remembered he had gotten a Beast Taming License.

But it had been some time since he had updated it. He raised his doubts with Elder John.

"No problem. You can update the license with the golden card," John said.

Hearing that, Jeremy Night nodded his head.

15 minutes later,

The driver stopped the cab in front of a black-colored brick building. It looked like an old castle.

Both Elder John and Jeremy exited the car. John paid the fare to the driver.

Then they started walking on foot toward the main gate. There was still a 50-meter gap between them and the main gate.

Jeremy Night used his eye power to observe the whole place. He had thought the Beast Taming Association was going to be another skyscraper glass building.

But it turned out to be something else.

Elder John saw Jeremy Night’s reaction.

He said, "Important buildings are built in this way. The higher-tier beasts are intelligent. They target towering buildings first."

"So, in order to protect against such attacks, the buildings were built in this way," John added.

Jeremy Night had a look of understanding. Then they reached the main gate. The guards there asked for their IDs.

Both of them showed their special base IDs. Seeing that, the guards allowed them to enter. Then they walked up to the black iron door.

They didn’t come across others. The whole wide pathway was quiet. There was no one else except them. But when Elder John pushed the main black door and stepped inside, he was greeted by bustling noise.

Jeremy Night followed him inside from behind. He, too, was greeted by the loud chatter of the crowd. He raised his eyebrows in surprise.

He saw Beast Taming Teams standing here and there. They were discussing something seriously about their mission.

Elder John took him to the admin desk. There were many staff members behind the admin desk. The staff were between Tier-6 and Tier-7 Beast Tamers.

They noticed the approaching guests. They couldn’t see through the old man, but they noticed the Tier-3 Peak Beast Tamer next to him.
