Hearing Hua Buwan’s words, the stall owner was initially stunned, failing to process what had just happened. However, when his gaze met the faint, almost imperceptible smile on her face, a sudden realization hit him, and his mind completely cleared.

“You… you… you little brat!”

The stall owner finally understood. This seemingly delicate young girl was intentionally throwing his own previous words right back in his face! This was a blatant mockery!

At this thought, his anger flared. He fumed, his previously normal complexion instantly turning as dark as a thundercloud.

Hua Buwan, on the other hand, had no desire to waste any more breath on the humiliated and infuriated stall owner. Waving her hand casually, she drawled, “If there’s nothing else, I’ll be on my way. I wish you a booming business and fortunes pouring in daily!”

Before her voice even faded, she gracefully picked up her purchases and strode forward without looking back.

Ling Qianjun, who had been following closely behind Hua Buwan, hadn’t uttered a single word from beginning to end. However, his deep, pool-like eyes remained locked onto the stall owner. A chilling, sinister aura seeped from his gaze, making him look like a poised beast ready to pounce on its prey at any moment.

The stall owner, who had been angrily glaring at Hua Buwan’s retreating figure, suddenly felt a chill shoot up his spine, and he uncontrollably shuddered. He subconsciously shrank back, involuntarily taking several steps in retreat. Watching Ling Qianjun’s gradually receding figure, the owner couldn’t help but complain bitterly in his heart, muttering under his breath, “This guy clearly looks like a rustic poor kid, so how could he have such terrifying eyes? Being stared at so intensely, it feels like he’ll rush over and snap my neck in the next second! What a freak!”

Before he could fully recover from the shock, the shorter figure trailing behind with mud-stained trouser legs—Ling Qianfan—swept past him like a gust of wind. In that split second, Ling Qianfan glared at him with eyes full of resentment and indignation, as if trying to convey all his dissatisfaction through that single look.

However, just glaring didn’t seem to satisfy Ling Qianfan. Immediately after, he let out a loud, sharp “HUMPH!” at the stall owner, the sound laced with endless fury and disdain.

The pitiful stall owner, having been met with hostile expressions from three consecutive people, naturally felt his own anger burning anew. Without hesitation, he fiercely spat, “PTOOEY!” at Ling Qianfan’s retreating back to express his outrage.

In fact, although Ling Qianfan had already walked a fair distance away, he still clearly heard the spitting sound from behind. But right now, he was in no mood to pay attention to it. He only thought about how if he didn’t speed up, he might not be able to keep up with his older brother and Hua Buwan.

At this thought, he quickened his steps.

Sighing inwardly as he recalled tagging along with them today, Ling Qianfan couldn’t help but lament to himself.
