Chapter 2318: Chapter 2318: Moonlight Wheel · Third Form

"Hmm?"

Shard believed that at this moment, he was certainly not the only one showing shock and confusion. For behind the thick arm holding a great sword was not a dragon or a giant, but an enormous dragon egg.

Specifically, the arm covered with dragon scales emerged holding the Sacrificial Bone Sword from a crack in the egg’s surface, while most of that enormous dragon egg remained hidden behind the crevice.

It was pulled out for just an instant by Shard’s transformed Moonlight Dragon, then a force even greater than Shard’s current state directly retracted the dragon egg, arm, and sword back into the crevice.

Buzz~

The Desecration Element burst with full force, and a massive repulsion suddenly appeared in the sacrificial site, propelling the giant dragon into the sky. Subsequently, the Circle Sorcerers and witches attacked with arcane techniques once the shield around the sacrificial site vanished, but all were annihilated by that mysterious repulsion.

[Outlander, you have felt the miracle.]

[Outlander, you have felt the desecration.]

The ancient gray stone sacrificial site centered around three rings—large, medium, and small—and upon careful observation, each ring encompasses the stone dragon statues in the sacrificial site systematically, forming central disk, inner ring, middle ring, and outer ring.

They spun at different speeds in counterclockwise, clockwise, clockwise, counterclockwise directions, and Shard seemed to hear a "click" as a lock was opened.

No dragon dared to approach him at this moment, so he spewed another mouthful of crimson toxic mist downward, but it was repelled once more, causing the scattered mist to quickly force all combatants in the sea area outside the sacrificial site to escape.

As the rings turned, thirteen bronze doors bound by chains appeared in the void above the sacrificial site. As the chanting of priests in the sacrificial site opened the bronze doors, the ancient dragon remains, sealed in subspace for unknown ages, emerged with a dragon head emitting a blue soul fire.

It seemed that the entire sea area was frozen at that instant, followed by a shout from an unknown direction:

"Don’t let it come out!"

Various spiritual lights and arcane techniques bombarded the dragon head trying to break through the subspace seal, even the Thirteen-Ring sorcerers temporarily abandoned their dragon adversaries.

Iluna urgently summoned a skeleton horse to fly toward the sea, and the witches again gathered to prepare to jointly unleash a secret technique.

This undead, sealed by the Dragon Feast Sacrificial Ground in an unknown era, though certainly not as formidable as the Evil of the Deep Sea - Seven-Tailed Player, was released after a crushing defeat in the battle, surely not a weak enemy.

Miss Eles had already jumped off from Shard’s head, transforming into a Blue Dragon flying past Shard, spewing dragon breath at a lower altitude. Feeling the still surging spirit—having pulled out the dragon egg using the Power of the Red Dragon—then looked at the three moons in the night sky, spreading wings to fly higher. 𝒻𝑟ℯℯ

Once more, the ancient times’ resonant dragon roar echoed as the "Moonlight Greatsword" was held by the dragon again. The sword light of the Moonlight Greatsword, along with the bombardment from human Circle Sorcerers, hit the Bone Dragon’s head, temporarily pushing it back into the bronze door, but it quickly emerged again.

The sea surface began to freeze with small snowflakes drifting toward Moon Bay Harbor. The Church’s Thirteen-Ring Sorcerers were also ready to use their Sublimation Incantations, and the silver dragon, looking at the Moonlight Greatsword in its hand, suddenly had an idea:

"This is a Moonlight Greatsword concentrated by the power of dragon roars, thus having the power to restrain other dragon species, but its essence is still moonlight."

[Yes.]

"She" suddenly spoke softly with a smile, though usually, she wouldn’t speak unless Shard requested help during a battle.

"Given that it is moonlight, it is still the power of the moon. If it is the moon’s power, can I control its transformation? I have attempted similar things many times with Moonlight Slash and Moonlight Ring. If I could control the transformation of moonlight gathered by dragon roar, then this moonlight should still hold the special effect of the Sword of Light’s ancient god power."

[Yes.]

"She" continued to say with a smile by Shard’s ear.

So the dragon continued to look at the great sword in its hand, then suddenly opened its mouth wide, and crushed the sword with clattering bites.

A few light particles scattered into the air, but the shattered translucent luxurious sword body did not entirely dissipate. The dragon’s breath and the gravitational pull of the powerful soul manipulated the moonlight, and the passive arcane technique [Shadow of the Moon] exerted effects that Shard was still unaware of.

So not only did the silver moonlight drifting from the shattered sword slowly entwine around the dragon’s claws, but even the runes hidden within the sword were deeply imprinted onto the glowing scales of the "Moonlight Dragon’s" injured arm.

The claws entwined with moonlight, Shard looked down:

"Last time when I asked Miss Isabella about the next transformation of the ’Moonlight Wheel,’ she suggested that if I want to continue enhancing the attack power while keeping the size of the Moonlight Wheel unchanged, I should consider switching from a one-handed charge to a two-handed charge...charge..."

He raised his head to consume spirits and spat out energy to disperse the clouds, allowing the moonlight to shine on him. He soared upwards until the dragon seemed to perch in front of the moon.

Bathed in the moonlight of the night sky, the silver Great Dragon spread its wings and claws, and the silver moonlight entwined around its claws gradually expanded, forming a huge silver circular transparent light curtain in front of it, large enough to cover the dragon itself.

This light curtain was not only made up of the glimmers from the shattered "Dragon Roar - Moonlight Greatsword," but also from the real moonlight gathering together. As the dragon extended its claws outwards and inwardly joined them without touching, the circular transparent light curtain that covered it also gradually converged inward.

Until the light curtain disappeared in front of it, a rotating giant silver light wheel appeared between the dragon’s claws.

The ancient runes on the glowing scales stabilized the flow of spirits, and the special divine art of the "Shadow of the Moon" constantly gathered moonlight over Shard’s head. When the Moonlight Wheel had transformed into a size even larger than the dragon’s head, the dragon raised its right claw and threw it downward:

"Moonlight Wheel: Third Form!"

The light wheel, spinning with increased speed and more spikes, emitted a peculiar buzzing sound as it crossed the attacks of many other falling Circle Sorcerers without hinderance, piercing straight through the giant Bone Dragon’s head before entering into the darkness behind the Bronze Door.

Under everyone’s watch, the light of the silver moon burst inside the Bronze Door, silently splitting the Bone Dragon’s head into two halves, which then retreated back into the Bronze Door.

The ritual site shook violently on the sea surface, causing the Subspace Seal gate to vanish. At least one-third of the black-robed priests in the ritual site vomited blood and fell, heavily injured. However, before the new round of attacks could hit the ritual site, it disappeared on the sea again like an illusion.

The high-flying silver Great Dragon exhaled a long breath, knowing that it wasn’t due to the powerful "Moonlight Wheel," but because the "Dragon Language Spell: Sword of Light" was powerful enough.

But when the Moonlight Dragon’s glowing silver eyes glanced around, whether dragon or human, they still evaded its gaze.

Feeling the spirit within its body once again becoming depleted, it roared at the Blue Dragon below, passing on the task of cleaning up the battlefield to the others, and then, under the night, along with the Blue Dragon and four witches, flew deeper into the ocean.

Half an hour later.

Typically, at this time of 7:30 PM, Belindel Estate would still be illuminated, but not nearly as lively. Yet now, nearly every hallway was filled with people.

Young women were shuttling back and forth, searching for the recently returned injured or delivering messages. And information compiled from all over the city was eventually displayed on a large model of the city that Miss Benanis had temporarily set up on the third-floor study.

The Grand Witches, Shard, and Miss Eles had all returned, yet from the study’s window, one could still see the scattered bat swarms in the night sky and the fire-streaked sky.

After the "Dragon Feast Sacrificial Ground" vanished on the sea, the main force of the Dragon Feast Cult also retreated from the docks. Under the cautious orders of Miss Aphrola, the Witch Council’s team discreetly withdrew to the estate, leaving the task of cleansing the city and clearing the battlefield to the Church.

About ten minutes ago, professors from the Three Major Academies, who had left the city in search of the Angel-Level relic, had also returned, and tonight’s chaos seemed to be subsiding.

Tifa and Ciris were still at Margaret’s Manor, and Miss Matilda had just set out to inquire about the situation over there.

Currently, in the estate, the only Witch Apprentice was Miss Swift, and this flaxen-haired girl, after leaving Granny Cassandra, had shown astonishing efficiency and leadership.

The witches returning from the battle didn’t need to do anything, as she was capable of efficiently managing the various affairs within the estate.

Shard, not standing before the model, was half-naked, pulling his right arm from his sleeve, with his arm wrapped in blood-stained bandages.

Sitting on the study’s sofa, Emilia was biting her lip as she placed both hands over his wound to help heal him, while the Little Unicorn stood by watching them with concern. After the Sacrificial Bone Sword injured the Moonlight Dragon, the liquid resembling moonlight flowed out in dragon form, but after returning to human form, the corresponding wounds hadn’t immediately disappeared.

The wounds made by a Sage-Level relic weren’t ordinary, and even with Shard’s special constitution, they couldn’t immediately heal, which was why Emilia was using her amulet to help with the healing. After using the Dragon Transformation Spell again tonight, there was only one bottle of the elf’s Transformation Recovery Potion left.
