Chapter 764: Destroy The Human World? [Bonus Chapter]
The vow was quiet, woven into the very roots that anchored her soul to Blessed Land.
Though, as she pulled back and looked at his relaxed handsome features, her lips curled into a delightfully wicked predatory smirk.
She was going to bully him relentlessly once her belly began to show... The moment she officially announced her condition to the household, she was going to demand foot rubs at midnight, send him across the territory for sweet mountain plums, make him carry her up the Keep’s winding stairs, and tease him until his ears burned red.
She was the first wife, the lawful queen of this Keep, and taking full, shameless advantage of her husband’s doting nature was her birthright.
"Hehehehehahaha~"
A delightfully evil little giggle bubbled past Eluned’s lips, echoing quietly in the dark bedroom.
Across Silas’s chest, Morwenna groaned with her brow furrowing in deep annoyance as she shifted her weight against the blankets.
"Elu, shut up..." Morwenna grumbled, her voice husky and muffled against Silas’s collarbone.
Then, still half-dead to the world, the pirate let out a bizarre snorting wheeze that sounded remarkably like a deflating cabbage, chuckling clumsily in her sleep before her breathing leveled out again.
Eluned stared at her with wide offended eyes with her teeth clenching.
’Wretched woman...’ Eluned cursed silently, wishing a swarm of caterpillars upon the pirate’s coat before resting her head back on Silas’s chest and closing her eyes to sleep. ’You... you overfertile bunny!’
...
Down in the spacious sunlit kitchen of the Keep, the morning light filtered through the arched leaded-glass windows, illuminating the polished copper pans hanging from the ceiling racks.
Aeliana stood beside the prep table with her long elegant blonde hair falling in a straight, gleaming sheet past her shoulders.
She was dressed in her pristine white linen tunic embroidered with delicate silver leaf patterns around the collar with her long pointed ears twitching slightly to the distant clanging of the dwarven forges down in the valley.
"Mmmmh~ Mmmh~ I love my Lord and I want him to dick me down~"
Her slender pale hands worked with graceful stillness.
She picked up a heavy crystal decanter filled with the purple juice Lord Sy loved, freshly pressed and chilled with a shard of clean ice.
She tilted the decanter over a tall fluted silver goblet, pouring the cool fragrant liquid with smooth focus.
GLUG! GLUG! GLUG!
The sweet tart aroma of dark berries rose from the goblet, carrying a freshness that cleared the morning air.
Aeliana set the decanter back on the table with a soft precise tap, picked up the silver goblet in both hands, and smoothed the front of her skirt.
She turned on her soft leather slippers, gliding out of the kitchen and into the great hall, beginning her steady measured ascent up the grand granite staircase.
As she reached the second-floor landing, the sound of light hurried footsteps came skipping around the corner of the corridor.
Aeliana paused, stepping gracefully to the side of the banister as a fiery blur nearly collided with her skirt.
...It was Talira.
The dragon girl was practically bouncing on the balls of her feet with her cropped crimson hair sticking out in messy sleep-tousled spikes.
Two small leathery crimson wings sprouted from her shoulder blades, fluttering frantically with sharp agitated snaps that fanned the morning air.
Her bright red reptilian eyes were wide and luminous with her gaze darting toward the upper stairs with an intensity that bordered on volcanic.
"Aeliana!" Talira chirped, grabbing the high elf’s forearm with two warm claw-tipped fingers. "Is Lord Silas awake?! Is he going to be home for long this time?!"
As she spoke, Talira’s crimson wings began flapping with frantic fluttering speed, stirring up a small breeze that fluttered the hem of Aeliana’s tunic.
FLAP! FLAP! FLAP!
A sudden deep blush spread across Talira’s tanned cheeks, burning all the way to the tips of her ears.
She bit her lower lip nervously, her sharp little fangs digging into her lip as she fidgeted with the hem of her leather tunic with her tail whipping behind her ankles.
Aeliana looked at the dragon girl, her silver-green eyes softening with serene patient amusement.
"Good morning, Talira," Aeliana greeted her softly, keeping the silver goblet perfectly level in her left hand. "Lord Silas returned late last evening from Lady Aki’s Keep... He will remain within our borders until Lady Aki concludes her Novice Trial, He has much administrative business to oversee in the Human world after that."
Talira’s shoulders slumped, and her fiery red eyes narrowed into an unhappy scowl as she crossed her arms over her chest with her wings drooping behind her back.
"Until her trial finishes?" Talira grumbled, stomping the floor with the hard heel of her boot.
STOMP!
"That’s going to take days... Why does he always have to leave to help other territories when our own people needs him?! He spends half his time running errands for the humans and looking at maps... I hate that place! I want to fly up into the clouds, dive through the realm portal, and completely destroy the Human World with dragon flame! If that realm is reduced to ash, he will have no reason to ever leave the Keep again!"
’Is she a child?’
Aeliana’s long pointed ears twitched, and she shook her head with a calm gentle sigh.
"You must calm yourself, Talira," Aeliana said, her tone smooth and formal. "You cannot destroy the Human World. Lord Silas has family over there. His sister lives in that realm, as does his maid, Martha, and she is his family as well... If you were to harm them, you would bring immense grief to his heart."
Talira froze.
The fiery scowl vanished from her face in an instant, replaced by an expression of pure horror.
The crimson flush on her cheeks deepened to an incandescent magenta, her red eyes bulging as the weight of her careless words crashed down upon her skull.
Her leathery wings snapped tight against her back, trembling violently as she threw both of her hands over her mouth, letting out a terrified muffled squeak.
"I... I forgot!" Talira wailed through her fingers, her voice pitching up into a frantic panicked squeal. "His family! Oh by the ancestral fires, I would never burn them! I didn’t mean it! Please do not tell him I said that, Aeliana! I am so sorry! I am so, so sorry!"
Without waiting for a reply, the dragon girl spun on her heels with her crimson tail tucking between her legs as she bolted back down the corridor and her boots pounding frantically against the floorboards before disappearing around the corner toward the courtyard.
Aeliana watched the empty hallway for a moment, the corners of her lips curling into a warm fond smile.
’She really is quite cute,’ Aeliana thought quietly, admiring the girl’s boundless passionate spirit before turning back to the stairs. ’Wild and reckless as a summer brushfire, but her devotion to Lord Silas is pure...’
Aeliana adjusted her grip on the silver goblet and continued her ascent, gliding smoothly up the remaining steps toward the third-floor administrative wing.
She reached the heavy oak double doors of the Lord’s office, paused to smooth her hair with one hand, and knocked twice with her knuckles against the polished timber.
KNOCK, KNOCK!
"Come in," a familiar deep voice called from within.
Aeliana pressed the brass latch down and pushed the door open, stepping into the spacious book-lined study.
The morning sun poured through the massive bay windows, casting long rectangles of bright amber light across the thick woolen rugs and the sprawling dark mahogany desk.
Maps of the mountain valley, mining manifests, and territory ledgers were stacked in neat, organized piles across the polished wood, flanked by ink pots and a small humming communication crystal.
Silas was seated behind the desk.
He was wearing a set of loose comfortable black robes lined with dark gray fur around the shoulders, his collar unfastened to reveal the broad solid line of his throat.
His dark hair was slightly damp from a morning wash, and his dark blue eyes looked clear and refreshed, though the faint gold ring around his pupils caught the sunlight with a quiet brilliance.
He looked up from a rolled parchment with a bright welcoming smile breaking across his handsome face.
"Morning, Aeli," Silas greeted her, leaning back into his high-backed leather chair with a relaxed stretch of his shoulders.
"Good morning, Lord Sy," Aeliana replied, bowing her head in a graceful, measured greeting as she walked toward the desk, her footsteps completely silent against the carpet. "I trust you rested well after your journey to Aki’s Wonderland?"
"Better than I expected, actually," Silas chuckled, rubbing the back of his neck with an amused crooked grin as he remembered the pile of warm limbs he had woken up beneath. "Eluned and Morwenna basically used me as an anchor all night... I could barely move my ribs until dawn, but it was good to be home."
He tapped a stack of ledger sheets on the desk, his expression turning practical and focused.
"Listen, Aeliana," Silas said, resting his forearms against the mahogany. "I need you to gather all of the girls in Blessed Land... I’m finally going to announce who’s moving into the Keep."
Aeliana’s long pointed ears perked upward with keen interest.
She puffed out her pale cheeks in a tiny adorable show of agreement with her head bobbing in a formal solemn nod.
"Understood, my Lord," Aeliana said politely. "The girls have been awaiting your decision with great anticipation... Some of them have been pacing the barracks yard since first light so I shall gather them immediately after I finish here."
She stepped up to the edge of the desk, carefully setting the chilled silver goblet down upon a carved wooden coaster beside his documents.
"I have brought your morning refreshment, Lord Sy," she murmured softly. "Your purple juice, freshly made..."
"You’re a lifesaver, Aeli," Silas smiled warmly, picking up the heavy silver cup by its stem. "My mouth tastes like mountain dust this morning."
He brought the goblet to his lips, taking a long deep drink of the dark-violet juice.
GULP!
The liquid was sweet intensely flavorful, and ice-cold, sending a crisp revitalizing shock of pure berry essence down his throat that instantly washed away the last traces of morning grogginess.
Silas exhaled a slow appreciative breath, swirling the remaining juice in the cup with a satisfied nod.
He brought the cup back to his mouth, drinking halfway through the generous pour, enjoying the peaceful quiet of the sunlit office.
...Aeliana did not turn to leave.
She remained standing beside the corner of his desk, her hands clasped tightly together over the front of her white tunic.
Her long pointed ears were twitching erratically, fluttering like delicate butterfly wings as a sudden intense wave of nervous heat crept up the back of her neck.
"U... Um..."
Her silver-green eyes darted from the papers on the desk to the floorboards, her fingers twisting and kneading the linen fabric of her skirt until the knuckles were bone-white.
Her chest rose and fell in rapid shallow breaths, her posture trembling with a terrifying vulnerability that was alien to her usual serene royal composure.
Silas lowered the goblet, setting it down with a soft click against the coaster as he noticed the heavy electric tension radiating from the elf.
CLICK!
Before he could ask if something was wrong with the household accounts, Aeliana took a trembling half-step forward.
"Lord Sy..." Aeliana began, her voice barely a whisper, trembling so violently that the words seemed to catch in her throat.
She swallowed hard, her slender throat working as she forced her gaze up to meet his dark blue eyes, though her cheeks were rapidly burning with a rose-petal blush.
"I know... I know that you are exceptionally busy, my Lord," Aeliana stammered, her speech stumbling over itself as she clutched her hands tightly against her chest. "You carry the weight of the entire territory upon your shoulders... You manage the forges, you negotiate with distant realms, and you lead our soldiers into battle... but please... would you mind... would you mind fulfilling a request of mine?"
Silas blinked, his eyebrows arching in mild, genuine surprise as he looked at her nervous flushed face.
"A request?" Silas asked gently, his tone relaxed and open. "Sure, Aeliana. What is it? Do you need better supplies for the grove, or maybe some private space in the east wing? You can ask me for anything... What’s on your mind?"
Aeliana’s breath hitched in her throat with a sharp choked gasp.
Her long ears flattened completely against her blonde hair, then flared wide open.
The blush on her cheeks exploded into a blinding torrential crimson that swept across her ears, down her throat, and into the collar of her tunic.
Her entire body shook like a leaf in an autumn gale, her knees knocking together beneath her skirts as she squeezed her eyes shut with pure uncontainable terror.
She sucked in a massive lungful of air, threw her shoulders back, and shattered the morning silence of the office with a desperate shriek that rattled the glass panes of the windows!
"I want you to take my first time, my Lord!"
