Chapter 2057: Disorder Descends (IV)

“The dao master of disorder has returned!” Golden Sun beamed.

“This means that the ninth ranks aren’t just going to sit by and let these people grow stronger!” Flamefire exclaimed with joy. “However... does the dao master mean for us to keep an eye on Disorder... so that he doesn’t grow too strong?”

“That should be it!”

“No matter what, we have a ninth rank’s primary body here with us now. Even though he lacks sufficient spirit and can’t bring true ninth rank strength to bear, he’s not weaker than Chaos Sky. He’s definitely stronger than the Human King and Li Hao!” The envoys were delighted.

“Does this world... have something to do with the dao master of the five elements?” Flamefire suddenly whispered with a look in another direction. “If so, they might have received a message too. Then... should we temporarily set aside our plan to seize their world?”

“I’m not sure,” Golden Sun frowned. “I don’t know if they’re connected to the dao master of the five elements. We can wait for a bit! Since the dao master of disorder has come, he’ll probably make the north his base of operations.

“None of the other directions are appropriate candidates. He can decide what to do with those three once he arrives. We won’t have to worry about killing the wrong people then and causing trouble for the dao master.”

Despite being weaker than the Skyward master, the dao master of the five elements was a heavyweight among the ninth ranks. Issues might develop if his people were killed.

With that, the elemental envoys relaxed with peace of mind.

“Li Hao probably has the same idea in mind in wanting us to enter the north,” smiled the envoy of wood. “He wants us to clash with Five Elements and stand against Chaos Sky and Spring Autumn’s invasion at the same time. Little does he know...

“The might of the ninth ranks is far more than he thinks. The last thing he expects is that they would be so fast and decisive in sending a ninth rank’s primary body to us!”

Hatred blazed in his eyes when he spoke of Li Hao! The wood envoy hated the young man more than he did Long Zhan and the Human King.

While Li Hao had saved the elemental envoys, to the five, it was simply repayment of something he owed them. Li Hao had once studied Skyward’s dao. If it wasn’t for him, how would they have been defeated so quickly in the last engagement?

When all was said and done, they even had to be grateful to the young man for his act of mercy! This supposed act of mercy was simply not killing them.

The wood envoy looked at Flamefire and Dainty Water with some anger. “You guys shouldn’t have ever helped them!”

“It wasn’t a matter of helping or not,” sighed Flamefire. “He traveled back to the past to listen to our dao lectures. Would you have continued with the lecture? It wasn’t a big deal as it didn’t have a big impact. At the very least... we’re still alive, aren’t we?”

Would Li Hao not have ended up where he was today if they hadn’t lent their strength to him?

Not necessarily!

With how things had turned out, at least all five elemental envoys were still alive. The favor had proved to be useful. They were five eighth ranks!

The two envoys had simply lent a little bit of strength to the young man, and not that much of it. It’d resulted in the survival of five eighth ranks, so Flamefire felt that it hadn’t been a loss. No matter how heartless and despicable Li Hao might be, at least the five of them were still alive.

“Some things don’t need to be mentioned anymore, there’s no point bringing this up again!” said the earth envoy. “We probably can’t do anything more, but the dao master of disorder can! He is certain to create more confusion with his descension!

“Li Hao cultivates time and is not under our control. He’s the greatest enemy of the ninth ranks at the moment, so we still have a chance to take revenge if we want!”

The others nodded after exchanging a glance. They’d lived at the heart of chaos dao for a very long period of time and knew that out of all the daos, time was the most important. Hence, the Disorder master must have returned with some missions to conduct.

Eliminating Li Hao and seizing time must be one of them!

“I wonder when the Disorder master will come to us... It’s been a very long time since he’s walked among the chaos. I’m concerned that he might travel around for a while before doing so. That will delay everything.”

“It’s hard to say, but it shouldn’t be too long. Let’s just wait!”

“......” Smiles spread over all of their faces as the envoys spoke of the future.

Activity stirred on various silenced or hidden worlds in the chaos. Cultivator after cultivator cocked their heads, listening to something. Some were quickly overjoyed, others worried.

Disorder had descended!

What a pity that it wasn’t their own dao master. It would be a cause for celebration if their dao master’s primary body had returned.

But all the same, their dao master had reached an agreement with the Disorder master. They were to temporarily follow Disorder’s commands and throw the chaos into turmoil!

People began emerging from their worlds and heading north. While no one knew where Disorder was going to set up shop, the north made the most sense. The five elemental envoys were there, and the northern overlords might be connected to the dao masters of the five elements. Where else would Disorder go, if not the north?

He might bring eight eighth ranks under his banner as soon as he showed up!

It would be an impressive foundation to build.

On the other hand, the west.

A mirror hovered in front of Chaos Sky, reflecting scenes of the nine layers. It began vibrating after a long moment. The man frowned slightly.

“I guessed that someone might descend soon, it looks like my suspicions were confirmed. I just hadn’t thought that it would be Disorder!”

Worlds shook and order swayed!

Only someone of an opposing dao could cause such an effect. That meant that an exalted emperor of disorder had arrived!

“That’s just as well.” Chaos Sky’s furrowed brows smoothed out. “Disorder isn’t that strong among the ninth ranks... So this means that he might head to the north?”

“Dao master, killing Disorder might benefit our enterprise in building order!” said the shadow next to the man. It’d been watching the mirror for a while as well. “His dao has stood against the dao of order all this time.

“It’s one of the reasons why order has been unstable these years. The two sides counter each other, creating instabilities in order! Disorder’s arrival might be a chance for us!”’

Chaos Sky nodded after some thought. That was true!

Disorder’s dao wasn’t that strong, but he was part of the reasons why order had only been partially constructed in the chaos universe. The existence of disorder also constrained Chaos Sky’s own development.

If order collapsed, Disorder would strengthen dramatically among the ninth ranks. That would ensure that he set his sights on Chaos Sky!

“Should we notify the others, dao master?”

“No!” Chaos Sky shook his head. “If Disorder’s primary body is here, killing us will be immensely beneficial and help us establish order. If other people learn of his presence... they might stop us! Disorder is not in peak condition at the moment. If Chaos Sky major world brings our full strength to bear, we do stand a chance of killing him!”

“Then... should I go probe the north?” said the shadow. “Should I make a move if I discover Disorder’s primary body?”

“You can, but be careful. He’s either going to the north or coming to us! He won’t head to the east for now.”

“Understood!” The shadow promptly vanished, leaving behind a conflicted Chaos Sky. He was excited, but also uneasy.

This was a ninth rank they were talking about!

A true ninth rank, and one that stood on the other side of order! Daos of two extremes had always been symbols of strength, yet order and disorder were exceedingly hard to meld together. And with both daos producing their own ninth rank dao master, it was even more difficult to do so.

If they could kill Disorder through this venture...

That would be something that the Order master had not been able to do back in the day. Had he been able to, there might be a different chaos today.

“So you’re the first to come... Disorder...” murmured Chaos Sky. You might be the first ninth rank to fully die!

Undercurrents surged through the chaos once more. There weren’t many in the know at the moment. Even the Human King’s group and Li Hao were unaware that a ninth rank’s primary body had joined them.

In their eyes, this was not the best time for one to descend. Returning when there was insufficient spirit in the chaos was a massive risk!

As for Li Hao, it was the last thing on his mind that the precise moment in which he posed as the Disorder master would be the start of a grand coincidence. The young man was heading toward Five Elements Region and that major world was in sight.

Within Five Elements major world.

The boundary lines were clear. Power of the five elements drifted through the world, multi-colored and resplendent. It was a very eye-catching existence in the gloom of the chaos. Thankfully, the regional overlords were strong. Otherwise, such a conspicuous world would’ve been long swallowed by another.

Keeping a low profile was paramount in the chaos.

Outside Five Elements major world.

Li Hao looked on silently and extended his senses. This was a very strong world. No wonder it could reign supreme over the north. Apart from its own strength, there were three eighth rank worlds around it. Of course, they weren’t too strong as each of them only had one eighth rank.

They circled Five Elements, forming the major force of the northern overlord. The three eighth rank worlds counted as vassal worlds, but their only contribution was three ordinary eighth ranks to Five Elements.

Skyflight was very nervous at the moment.

“Senior, are you done? Shall we go?” It was terrified! The presence of this eighth rank world made it tremble. What was the senior doing here?

Li Hao didn’t make a sound. He ran quick calculations—five elemental envoys, three left of Five Elements, and three eighth rank worlds around them. That made for eleven eighth ranks and an indeterminable number of seventh ranks.

That made them very strong!

Although his own battle strength was formidable now that he’d reached seven thousand dao rules, it would still be hard for him to stand against his enemies if they were to join hands against him.

Well, that was just a discussion of difficulty level. How would he have dared send the elemental envoys here without making some preparations beforehand? Only with their addition would there be some opportunities for him. Eight eighth ranks weren’t necessarily as strong as three.

“What are we leaving for?” Li Hao didn’t mind teasing the dumb tiger. “You’re going to be the vanguard in a bit and lure out the powerhouses. I’ll kill some, then we’ll take this world and change it to the Disordered Flight World!”
