SSS Ranked Reincarnation: Dark Dragon Legacy

Chapter 467 - 467: He is a Demigod

The blast engulfed Silva completely. The Rift Monster believed it had vaporized him, but as the explosion faded, Silva stood there unharmed. His wings had wrapped around him, his entire body covered in hardened scales. Slowly, the scales receded, and his wings folded back into his spine.

A smirk tugged at his lips.

“That was really something. You’ve got some level of battle IQ for a monster… but it’s time to end this.”

He raised his sword. The black flames coiled around the blade, then shifted into bright, radiant fire. Silva looked at the Rift Monster in the distance. With a single slash, a sword arc of divine light erupted out and tore straight through the creature, splitting it clean in half.

No notification appeared.

Silva clicked his tongue. “So even that didn’t have any divine energy,” he muttered.

With the monster dealt with, it was time to leave the Rift. Unsure how to escape, he consulted the minds within him, each one giving the same answer: cut through the Rift itself. A Rift was a subspace torn open in real space. If he could tear it again, he might find the exit.

Without hesitation, Silva pulled back his blade and unleashed one powerful slash. The sword tore through the very fabric of space, opening a path out. He stepped through and exited the Rift instantly.

Outside, he saw that his clones, Drake, Dawn, and Lily, had already taken care of the remaining Rift Monsters.

“Master, you’re okay,” Drake said.

“Of course. Did you really expect me to die that easily?” Silva replied.

He was about to speak again when he sensed a presence rapidly approaching. His expression sharpened. He summoned all his clones back and raised a hand.

“Stand back. Something’s coming.”

Before anyone could move, a figure tore through the sky.

BOOM.

The air shattered. Sonic booms rippled across the sky as the being descended. Floating high above them was a man dressed in ornate robes, his long white hair flowing like silk. His skin was pale, his eyes pure white. He looked fragile—delicate even—but unsettlingly beautiful.

“Seems someone has tampered with my experiment,” he said. His soft voice still carried immense weight.

Silva looked up at him. “You’re the one who tore the Rift?”

“Well,” the man replied, “saying I tore the Rift makes it sound bad. Not that it matters now. That Rift was a little experiment… and you somehow managed to ruin it. You meddling hunters from the Arcane Council.” His eyes narrowed. “Either way, blame yourself for disrupting my work.”

He pointed a finger downward.

“I do not appreciate people touching what is mine.”

A bright white light gathered at his fingerti, then fired downward like a falling star.

Silva reacted instantly, creating a dome of pure darkness. The attack struck it and

BOOOOM!

A massive explosion ripped outward, sending shockwaves across the island and even disturbing the distant sea. The dark dome shattered, but none of the force reached those behind it.

“All of you, stand back,” Silva said, stepping forward. His gaze hardened.

The man tilted his head. “Hmm? You blocked my attack? Fascinating. But you should understand who stands before you.”

His eyes glowed faintly.

“Do not approach me, or you may lose your life. Stay where you are… and die peacefully.”

He pointed his finger again. This time, the light swelled—brighter, larger, far more concentrated. It shot downward even faster than before.

But Silva shot upward to meet it.

He slashed through the incoming blast, his blade colliding with the beam of light.

BOOOOM!

Another explosion tore through the sky, a shockwave rippling outward. But again, none of it harmed anyone below.

The man flew toward Silva, frowning as he studied him.

“Seems you’re not simple at all,” he said. “But let me warn you—I am not someone you can deal with.”

He stretched out his hand. A staff materialized, formed from pure, glistening white wood that shone under the sky.

“Since you’ve chosen to stand against me after touching what was mine, I’ll make sure your death is painful.”

He hurled the staff like a spear.

It tore through the air instantly.

Silva blocked it with his sword.

BOOM!

The impact sent him flying downward, slamming him into the ground. Dust and stone burst upward as he hit. The staff ricocheted back to the man’s hand, and he caught it effortlessly.

He shot downward, swinging the staff at full speed. But Silva rolled away just as it struck.

CRAAAACK!

The staff smashed into the earth, splitting the island’s ground in a jagged line that traveled hundreds of meters.

The man looked up. Silva was already standing in the distance.

He launched forward immediately.

“Is that all you can do? Block and evade?” he taunted before thrusting the staff toward Silva once more.

“Who the hell is this person?” Silva thought as the man closed the distance. From the moment the stranger appeared, Silva could sense the immense strength radiating from him. It wasn’t like anything he had felt since coming to this planet. This man was definitely not someone simple.

But that wasn’t all.

His energy was enormous, far beyond anything Silva had ever sensed. And despite that, every attack he’d used so far felt light… casual… nowhere near the true power boiling inside him. Silva could tell immediately: this figure didn’t even see him as a threat. He was holding back. A lot.

Silva parried the incoming staff strike, knocking it to the side. The man tilted the staff downward, planting it into the ground and using it as leverage to propel himself backward, creating a movement Silva couldn’t fully predict.

He flipped into a spinning kick aimed straight for Silva’s head. Silva jerked back just in time. The wind from the strike brushed across his face like a blade of air.

The man landed gracefully, staff resting across the back of his shoulders.

“You really are something,” he said. “But that’s enough playing. You will learn not to touch what does not belong to you… especially when it is the property of the demigod.”

His voice deepened, carrying a thunderous weight, and then he released his energy.

This time it was nothing like before.

A massive typhoon-like force exploded outward, the air distorting violently around him.

“So that’s it…” Silva muttered as the pressure crashed over him.

“He’s a demigod.”
