Aldric nodded his head at Leon and Pooland. Then, pointing his head, he signaled them to stand to his left.

Leon and Pooland followed Aldric’s orders and walked forward to stand at his left side.

Afterwards, Aldric glanced at the orc women standing next to the young masters. He put out a smile on his face and gestured to the sofa to his left. "Ladies, please sit."

"Thank you, commander." Gul-Min bowed slightly and led the ladies to sit on the sofa. Fortunately the sofa was big enough to fit all of them together.

As they sat down, the young masters stared at them with wide-open eyes. Visible shock was written on their faces.

Aldric looked at the young masters’ faces and asked cluelessly. "What’s wrong? Is there something wrong with the ladies?"

This time the young masters couldn’t remain still. They felt all of their secrets were known. But they couldn’t outright confirm it to these security forces. So, Darian opened his mouth for the first time and spoke. "Commander Aldric. Why do you have orcs in your barracks? Have you perhaps defected?"

Leon and Pooland became dumbfounded. They didn’t expect him to accuse the commander right away before he could.

’But you made a grave mistake. Now my brother-in-law won’t let you go.’ Leon shook his head inwardly. He knew how much the Vayne siblings yearned to enact revenge on the orcs. To accuse them of joining hands with them and defecting humanity meant he was permanently the enemy of Aldric.

"Oh my. You can talk. I thought you were a mute." Instead of continuing the topic Darian brought up, Aldric acted like he hadn’t heard anything Darian said. He had a wide smile on his face, making him amiable.

But Aldric was far from it.

"Commander, you didn’t—"

"Darian, watch your mouth!" Suddenly, a stern shout came from the door, stopping Darian from speaking.

Everyone turned their heads and saw an elderly man in a suit entering the office room. His white beard and hair, along with his fragile skin, failed to hide the strong energy emitting from him.

"Oh, if it isn’t Elder Torsen Valcrest! It is rare to see you here." Aldric sat in his chair and acted surprised. Inwardly, he was sneering. ’What a timely entrance! This guy must have been hiding and watching us the entire time. Hmph! That won’t matter. All your curtains will fall.’

Aldric had felt a gaze lingering on him since the moment he had these young masters with him. He guessed this person might be related to the Valcrest family but was not sure who it was exactly. He didn’t expect it to be Elder Torsen, a Peak Master-Rank like him.

"Commander Aldric, we will do our pleasantries later. Can I know why you captured the people of my family? Also, you didn’t inform us yet. If it weren’t for me going on a stroll today, I wouldn’t have known." Elder Torsen said, standing in front of Darian.

’Lies. When did you guys start to go on strolls?’ Aldric scoffed inwardly. Outwardly he laughed and said. "Sorry for that, Elder Torsen. It was my fault for not informing the family."

Elder Torsen nodded his head, somewhat satisfied with Aldric. "Then tell me why you captured the young members of our family?"

"Leon, please tell the elder what happened?" Aldric ordered Leon. He wasn’t fully informed about this, so it was better for Leon to speak or he might make several mistakes.

"Yes, commander." Leon saluted before looking at Elder Torsen. He could feel it, a strong sense of hostility radiating toward him. He also felt strange seeing no personal bodyguard with these young masters. Now he understood there was one, but he was hidden in the shadows, watching his entire play.

’You want me dead, right? I will drag you down to the absolute bottom then.’ Leon stared into Elder Torsen’s eyes gleefully and began speaking. "Elder Torsen, this is what happened. Today, we were patrolling the streets as usual. Everything was fine until we saw a ruckus in front of an ornament shop. Checking on it, we found them wrongfully accusing the shopkeeper. So, we tried to bring them back to the commander, but they refused and tried to fight in the streets of the capital. Leading us using force and capturing them."

"We also investigated what they were scammed by. We found a shocking result. The young masters bought orc women from orcs themselves. They were hidden under the shop, waiting for young masters to arrive. Fortunately, we were present today and were able to stop this transaction."

Hearing Leon fabricate a story that made them culprits right from the start made the young masters’ eyes widen in shock. They wanted to scream out loud and say they were being wrongly accused. However, the pressure Elder Torsen put on them made their mouths shut completely.

After a moment of silence, Elder Torsen asked. "Young man, is everything you are saying true?"

Leon placed his hand on his heart and spoke out righteously. "I swear on the name of the Emperor, everything I said is true. If I tell a lie, my mouth will be ripped apart."

Elder Torsen deeply looked at Leon; no one knew what was going on in his head.

"Elder Torsen, this young man swore on the emperor’s name. Are you still going to doubt his words?" Aldric questioned with a smirk on his face. He knew they had Elder Torsen right under their thumbs now. No matter what, he couldn’t side with the young masters of his family.

Leon also remained silent, enjoying the situation Elder Torsen was in. ’What are you going to do? Sacrifice these young masters or try to save them?’

The next outcome resulted in what Leon would say next.

"What a shame! Commander Aldric, it looks like we have not been disciplining our descendants. Please, punish them on our behalf." Elder Torsen closed his eyes and said with a sigh of defeat.
