Chapter 119: 119 | Stand Proud, You’re Strong

"Now we’re finally fighting on equal footing."

The gigantic dragon stared at him silently.

Then Andrew’s deep draconic voice echoed across the battlefield.

"Equal footing?"

Violet lightning exploded across the sky.

The dragon’s eyes glowed brighter.

"You misunderstand something, Gerald."

"Until now..."

"I wasn’t fighting seriously."

Gerald suddenly moved.

"BANG!"

The speed was insane.

Gerald crossed the distance between them in the blink of an eye. His body was wrapped in violent crimson energy. His clawed hand shot toward Andrew’s throat.

Andrew instantly raised one massive draconic claw as he struck out to intercept.

"BOOOOM!"

The collision shook the entire battlefield.

For a brief moment, the two monsters remained locked together. Then Gerald’s enhanced strength exploded outward.

Andrew’s colossal body was blasted backward through the air.

His feet dug trenches into the earth as he skidded across the battlefield. Violet lightning erupted beneath every step.

"BOOM!"

Before Andrew could stabilize himself, Gerald appeared again.

Too fast.

Far too fast.

A crimson fist crashed into Andrew’s chest.

The impact echoed like thunder.

Several black scales shattered and flew through the air.

A second strike slammed into his neck.

A third drove into his ribs.

A fourth smashed into his shoulder.

Each hit carried enough force to collapse buildings.

Gerald moved like a crimson phantom.

Punches.

Kicks.

Claws.

Every strike landed with devastating precision.

Andrew barely had time to react before Gerald appeared above him.

"Die!"

"BOOOOOOM!"

Gerald’s blood-covered fist crashed onto Andrew’s skull and drove the enormous dragon downward.

The earth exploded.

Dust and stone shot hundreds of meters into the sky.

The ground collapsed beneath the impact.

Andrew’s gigantic body bounced once before crashing into the center of a massive crater.

For several seconds, the battlefield fell silent.

The ten-meter dragon lay motionless.

The violet lightning dancing across his scales flickered weakly.

Blood dripped from between his fangs.

Several scales had shattered completely, revealing flesh beneath.

His breathing grew heavier.

Even his draconic vision blurred momentarily.

But then the dragon moved.

One enormous claw dug into the earth.

Then another.

Slowly, Andrew pulled himself from the crater.

His regenerative abilities were already repairing the damage, but not nearly fast enough.

Yet he still stood.

Or rather, the Dragon God still stood.

Gerald attacked again.

Faster.

Harder.

More violent.

His Blood God Possession had reached its peak.

He became a crimson meteor crashing repeatedly against Andrew’s body.

A strike to the jaw.

A punch to the chest.

A kick to the neck.

A claw to the shoulder.

Each attack was powerful enough to cripple ordinary powerhouses.

But Gerald could not understand something.

What he could not possibly understand was that the damage was nourishment.

The pain was fuel.

Every shattered scale strengthened the dragon body.

Every wound awakened more of the sleeping divinity hidden within the bloodline.

The Chaos Thunder Dragon God’s power was not diminishing.

It was rising.

The closer Andrew came to his limits, the more terrifying he became.

Then it happened.

Gerald lunged forward with another killing blow aimed directly at Andrew’s heart.

This time, Andrew caught him.

A massive draconic claw wrapped around Gerald’s arm.

"CRACKLE!"

Violet lightning exploded from Andrew’s palm.

Thousands of bolts surged into Gerald’s body.

"AAAAAAARGH!"

Gerald screamed as chaos lightning invaded his flesh. It tore through his blood energy and forced his muscles into violent spasms.

His eyes widened.

He tried to pull free.

He could not.

Andrew’s golden-violet draconic eyes met his.

Then Andrew yanked him forward.

"BOOOOM!"

The dragon’s forehead slammed directly into Gerald’s face.

Bone shattered.

Blood exploded outward.

Before Gerald could react, Andrew’s enormous tail whipped through the air.

"BAAAAAANG!"

The strike landed across Gerald’s ribs.

The sound resembled a mountain collapsing.

Gerald’s body folded in half before being launched across the battlefield like a cannonball.

He smashed through boulders.

He tore through trees.

He skipped across the ground before finally crashing into a distant hill.

But Andrew was already there.

"ROOOOOOOAR!"

The Chaos Thunder Dragon God descended from the sky like divine judgment itself.

One claw descended.

"BOOM!"

Gerald blocked.

The ground beneath him shattered.

Another claw followed immediately after.

"BOOM!"

Another.

"BOOM!"

Another.

"BOOM!"

Each strike became heavier than the last.

Each impact carried the force of a natural disaster.

Gerald found himself sinking deeper and deeper into the earth beneath his feet.

Then Andrew opened his jaws.

Chaos lightning gathered between rows of razor-sharp fangs.

The surrounding air screamed.

Space distorted.

Gerald’s instincts exploded with warning.

Too late.

"RAAAAAAAAH!"

A concentrated torrent of violet-black lightning erupted from the dragon’s mouth.

"BOOOOOOOOOOOOM!"

The world vanished in light.

The beam carved a path across the battlefield for hundreds of meters.

The earth melted.

Stone vaporized.

The atmosphere itself seemed to split apart beneath the attack.

When the light faded, Gerald stood in the middle of a smoking crater.

His body was charred.

His blood aura flickered unstably.

His breathing had become ragged.

His eyes filled with disbelief.

Fear.

For the first time since activating Blood God Possession, Gerald realized something horrifying.

He was not overpowering the dragon.

He was not even keeping up anymore.

He was losing.

Andrew slowly stepped forward.

Each footstep shook the battlefield.

Violet lightning danced between his scales.

His enormous wings unfolded behind him, blotting out the sky.

The pressure he released grew heavier with every passing second.

Then the Chaos Thunder Dragon God spoke.

Its voice rolled across heaven and earth like divine thunder.

"Stand Proud, you are strong."

Gerald’s knees buckled. The assassin’s legs gave out, his muscles finally surrendering to the accumulated damage and the overwhelming force pressing down on him.

His scythe fell and his hands went limp. His body, battered and broken and drained of everything the Blood Moon God technique had wrung from it, simply stopped. The crimson aura flickered and died. The Blood Moon above him dimmed, its light fading like a dying ember.

Gerald knelt.

Andrew stood above him, his dragon form panting heavily.

His dragon form flickered, the purple lightning dimming to a low hum until there was nothing left.

When he reached an inch away from Gerald, he had transformed back into his human form.
