Chapter 106: 106 | Goddess’s Juice

Andrew’s expression brightened. "Youth drink?"

Michael nodded weakly. "She keeps saying it keeps her skin beautiful and makes her look younger. Women."

Andrew’s lips twitched. "Fine. That’ll do."

He gently lowered Michael back onto the ground before rushing toward Lucy. He quickly searched her combat suit until he found a small soft bottle tucked inside one of its hidden pockets. "This must be it."

He raised the bottle. "System, upgrade this."

Ding! One Investment Point consumed. Target identified. Upgrading item. Upgrade successful! Youth Rejuvenation Drink had become Goddess Fiona Vitality Juice.

A new notification appeared before Andrew.

Andrew’s eyes lit up. "A grade 6 Potion again."

Then he frowned. ’That same mysterious goddess? Won’t she be mad at me at this point?’

Andrew was about to give the guys the potion, but then he hesitated.

He could simply let the others die and absorb their bloodlines. Their talents were also impressive. If he could absorb their talents, his arsenal would increase. But if he did that, would that be considered cold hearted? Andrew pursed his lips, weighing the pros and cons. He surely couldn’t face Klein alone. That was a level 27 mage. He would need help. Moreover, he would be questioned if only he made it out alive, or if some of them died.

"Forget it."

Andrew uncapped the bottle and carefully lifted Jasmine’s head.

Andrew quickly uncorked the vial and began administering the potion one person at a time.

Jasmine had collapsed first, so he gently tilted her head back and let a single drop fall into her mouth. Next came Lucy, then John, then Michael. Finally, after making sure everyone else had received their share, Andrew placed a single drop on his own tongue.

The potion was incredibly potent. A single drop was enough for each person.

Afterward, he carefully sealed the vial and slipped the remaining potion back into his pocket.

The cave fell silent.

One minute passed. Nothing happened. Andrew frowned slightly. Did it fail? Should I give them another drop?

Just as the thought crossed his mind, Jasmine suddenly coughed violently.

"Cough!"

"Cough!"

Almost immediately, Lucy, John, and Michael began coughing as well.

Their bodies trembled as thick black liquid spewed from their mouths.

"Tssssssss!"

The disgusting substance splattered onto the cave floor before suddenly wriggling unnaturally.

A second later, it dissolved into wisps of black smoke that quickly dispersed into the air.

Everyone stared at the strange scene in shock. Then, almost simultaneously, they felt the heaviness inside their bodies disappear. The poison was gone.

John was the first to recover completely. His eyes snapped open. He immediately sprang to his feet, his face twisted with fury. "Where is he? Where’s that motherfucker?!"

Andrew looked at him calmly. "He already left. He left the two saber-toothed tiger cubs but took your storage ring."

John’s face darkened instantly.

Michael slowly stood up, still looking somewhat pale. He frowned and looked at his stab wound which had healed in confusion. "I was clearly stabbed by the bastard and the others were poisoned. How did we recover from the poison?"

Andrew blinked his eyes when everyone turned towards him. He simply shrugged. "I honestly don’t know. I just found a potion on Jasmine and hoped it would work. Thankfully, it did."

Silence followed.

Jasmine wanted to shout that it was a health and body rejuvenating potion but she couldn’t say anything.

Lucy, John, Michael.

All four of them stared quietly at Andrew.

None of them believed his explanation. Deep down, they all reached the same conclusion.

Andrew had used an extremely precious life-saving treasure to save them. Considering his mysterious background and the fact that he possessed an S-Rank talent, it wasn’t difficult to imagine that his family had entrusted him with such priceless items.

Which meant he had willingly sacrificed one of his own treasures just to save them. Their expressions became complicated.

They silently engraved the favor into their hearts.

John was the first to break the silence. "We need to make that bastard pay."

"He left a minute ago. We might catch up if we go now."

Everyone’s eyes lit up. "Let’s go kill that bastard!"

Nobody objected.

None of them had expected Klen to betray them after working together for so long.

Without another word, the entire group rushed out of the cave.

Their speed exploded instantly. Seeing Andrew lagging behind, Michael laughed.

"You’re too slow." Without waiting for permission, he grabbed Andrew, threw him over his shoulder, and accelerated.

The five of them shot through the forest like blurs. Trees flashed past them one after another.

In less than five minutes, they finally caught sight of Klen. He was sprinting toward the exit of the dimensional zone. The moment he sensed their presence behind him, he turned around. His face instantly lost all color.

"Impossible!" His eyes widened in disbelief.

"There is no way! There is absolutely no way you survived! That poison has no antidote! Even I don’t possess one! How are you people still alive?!"

John’s eyes burned with murderous rage. He stepped forward. "The last thing you should be worrying about is how we survived. You fucking traitor. Die!"

John charged without hesitation. He had absolutely no interest in listening to excuses.

But before his attack landed, Jasmine suddenly shouted.

"Wait!" Her eyes were filled with confusion and pain. "Klen... Why? Why did you betray us?"

Klen looked at the five of them before suddenly bursting into laughter. "Hahaha..." His laughter echoed strangely through the forest. "Why? You’re asking me why?" His smile gradually twisted. "Do you honestly think the pathetic salary the guild pay us is enough to live on? When an opportunity worth billions appeared before me, I took it. What’s so strange about that?"

John’s killing intent erupted instantly. "You’re full of shit!" He swung his weapon.

"Lightning Chain Barrier!"

Crackle!

Chains of lightning instantly formed a defensive barrier around Klen.

John’s attack shattered it in an instant.

"Crack!"
