SSS-Rank Awakening: My Talent Multiplies Everything
Chapter 304: A Different Identity.
Kael considered his words.
"First pick?"
"That’s right."
Jonas continued explaining.
"Let’s say your Guild obtains a batch of valuable materials or treasures that it intends to sell. Before those items are released to the general market, the Association would be given an opportunity to look through them and purchase whatever interests us."
He paused briefly, looking at Kael meaningfully. "We’re not asking for access to your private inventory, personal treasures, or anything you’ve decided to keep for yourselves."
Kael nodded.
That was an important distinction. If the Association only wanted priority access to items the Guild already planned to sell, that was an entirely different matter.
After all, those items were going to be sold eventually.
Allowing the Association to browse through them first wouldn’t necessarily cause him any losses, especially if they were willing to pay a fair price.
Jonas continued.
"And naturally, we can compensate you through several different methods."
He raised his hand slightly, counting them off.
"Credits, Tower Coins, or Association Contribution Points."
Kael’s eyes flickered.
Contribution Points?
Now that was interesting.
Credits and Tower Coins weren’t particularly difficult for him to obtain anymore.
With his Infinite Reward Multiplier and access to the Tower, ordinary wealth had gradually become one of his lesser concerns.
However, Association Contribution Points were a different matter.
Unlike money, they couldn’t simply be acquired whenever he wanted.
They were tied to the Association’s contribution system, which determined what kinds of privileges, resources, and opportunities an individual or organization could obtain.
And for the Mothlight Guild, those points could prove extremely valuable.
Kael immediately thought about the Rifts the Guild currently controlled.
Thanks to his earlier agreement with the Hunter Association, Mothlight had already obtained access to several Rifts.
However, that agreement only covered the initial allocation.
If the Guild wanted to acquire additional Rifts in the future, it would need to follow the Association’s normal procedures.
That meant making meaningful contributions, accumulating Contribution Points, and exchanging those points for additional Rift access.
Under normal circumstances, building up enough points would take time.
The Guild would need to complete Association assignments, participate in various operations, or provide other services considered valuable enough to warrant rewards.
But with this arrangement...
Kael’s thoughts moved quickly.
If the Association was willing to pay Contribution Points in exchange for valuable resources, then Mothlight would have another way to accumulate them.
And considering the kinds of items he could obtain from the Tower, that could become a very profitable arrangement.
He wouldn’t even need to go out of his way to complete numerous Association assignments.
He could simply provide resources that the Association wanted, receive Contribution Points in exchange, and use those points to secure additional Rifts for the Guild.
The more he thought about it, the more attractive the idea became.
If things went well, it might not take long before Mothlight began approaching the major Guilds in terms of the number of Rifts under its control.
And once the Guild possessed enough Rifts, its ability to generate resources and develop its Hunters would naturally increase as well.
That, in turn, would allow it to grow even faster.
It was a rather promising cycle.
This is actually a pretty good deal.
Kael had initially expected Jonas to demand something far more troublesome.
Instead, the Vice President was offering him two things that could significantly accelerate the Mothlight Guild’s development.
An opportunity to expand into another Safe Zone and a means of acquiring Association Contribution Points through trade.
And in exchange, all he needed to provide was preferential purchasing access to resources he already intended to sell.
Of course, the exact terms would still need to be examined carefully.
But at least on the surface, there was very little for him to complain about.
Jonas seemed to notice the change in his expression.
A knowing smile appeared on his face.
"Well, I can see you’re finally interested."
Kael smiled faintly.
"I won’t deny that your offer is quite attractive."
"Haha! I knew you’d like it."
Jonas waved his hand.
A thick stack of documents immediately appeared in his grasp.
"Here."
He placed the documents on the desk between them.
"These contain the details of the proposed agreement. Everything we’ve discussed is included, along with the specific conditions and procedures."
Kael glanced at the documents.
Jonas continued.
"You don’t have to make a decision right now. Take your time reviewing them. If you’re satisfied with the terms, you can sign the agreement, and we’ll proceed from there."
"Alright."
Kael reached forward and collected the documents.
With a casual movement, he stored the entire stack in his Inventory.
He would go through them properly later.
Although the offer sounded good, he wasn’t about to sign a contract of that importance without first examining the details.
For now, however, he was satisfied with what he had heard.
Jonas leaned back in his chair, looking rather pleased with himself.
Kael, meanwhile, remembered something.
The Vice President had mentioned that he came here for two reasons.
And unless Kael had misunderstood him, their proposed business arrangement was only the first.
With that thought, he turned his attention back toward Jonas.
"Anyway, Vice President Jonas..."
"Hm?"
"You mentioned earlier that you came here for two things."
Kael looked at him curiously.
"So, what’s the second reason you came?"
Hearing Kael’s question, Vice President Jonas leaned back in his chair.
"Well, the second matter has to do with the upcoming tournament."
"The tournament?"
"That’s right." Jonas nodded. "Kael, we’d like to request that you participate in the tournament under a different identity."
Kael furrowed his brows.
"A different identity? Why?"
Jonas looked at him for a moment before explaining.
"Well, as you already know, this tournament isn’t just some ordinary competition. The outcome will determine something extremely valuable to the four Safe Zones."
Kael nodded. He was already well aware of the importance of the upcoming tournament.
Jonas continued. "Now, let me ask you something. What do you think would happen if someone like you suddenly entered the competition?"
Kael raised an eyebrow.
"Someone like me?"
