The warrior struggled desperately, but before he could break free, Aiden was already upon him.

Aiden Cross, however, had already lost interest in playing along with him.

He stepped aside, easily dodging Commander Garrett Kaine’s flawed [Charge] that was riddled with openings due to his anger. The moment they crossed paths, his [Power Gauntlets] smashed viciously into Commander Garrett Kaine’s kidney area in his lower back at a tricky angle!

"Pfft!" Commander Garrett Kaine spat out a mouthful of blood. The intense pain caused his vision to go black, and his massive body collapsed forward like a falling mountain. His health bar instantly hit rock bottom, plunging him into a near-death state, leaving him unable to utter even a word.

Aiden Cross slowly walked over to Garrett’s side and looked down at him struggling on the ground like a dying dog.

His eyes were as cold as ice.

Fortunately, this Dragon Sovereign Guild member didn’t possess a Revival Coin.

The moment that realization flashed through Aiden’s mind, a system notification appeared.

’Oh? An equipment drop too?’ Aiden casually picked up the pair of leather bracers radiating a faint green glow.

His gaze then swept toward the other Dragon Sovereign Guild members lying on the ground.

He had killed several of them earlier when their HP was already low.

Yet instead of system notifications indicating their deaths, their bodies had transformed into white light.

Aiden immediately understood. They had Revival Coins, a rare item one can buy with a permanent deduction of ones lifespan...

’That one-time revival that comes with a five-level reduction...’ Aiden’s eyes narrowed slightly. ’Hmph. Next time, you won’t have such bullshit to save you.’

He was somewhat irritated. Not because they had survived. But because their survival meant he couldn’t harvest their Soul Essence.

Aiden leaned down beside Garrett and brought his mouth close to the man’s ear. His voice was cold and low, quiet enough that only the two of them could hear it.

"Tell Damien Bale that if he wants to recruit me..." Aiden paused for a moment. "...he’s not qualified yet."

Garrett’s pupils contracted. "Next time, send someone decent."

A faint, chilling smile appeared on Aiden’s lips. "Or... Let him come himself."

With that, Aiden straightened up. He paid no further attention to Garrett, who was still lying helplessly on the ground...

Under the awe-struck, shocked, and complicated gazes of the surrounding players, Aiden calmly powered up pressure shot.

Then, without the slightest hesitation, he finished him off with a close shot to the head.

As expected...Garrett also possessed a Revival Coin.

His body instantly transformed into a burst of white light and disappeared.

Aiden simply adjusted the perfectly neat collar of his coat.

His expression remained completely indifferent, as though he had merely brushed some dust from his sleeve.

Then he turned around and walked straight into the entrance of the "Abandoned Subway Station."

His figure gradually disappeared into the darkness. Behind him, the surrounding players remained frozen in place.

No one spoke. The entire area was deathly silent.

Commander Garrett Kaine’s grand provocation had ultimately turned into an absolute joke.

Meanwhile, the Reaper’s terrifying strength and unfathomable mystery were once again etched deeply into the minds of every player who had witnessed the scene.

The conflict between the Reaper and the Dragon Sovereign Guild had officially escalated.

And yet, this first direct clash had ended with one-sided, absolute suppression by Aiden Cross.

After leaving the "Abandoned Subway Station" dungeon, Aiden Cross had gained a few more attribute points through soul harvesting, and his level had stabilized in the late stages of Level 5.

The provocation from Commander Garrett Kaine and his group had been nothing more than a minor interlude, leaving no ripple in Aiden’s heart.

On the contrary, the 2 points of Strength he had absorbed and the piece of Uncommon equipment were unexpected gains.

He drove the matte-black Rezvani toward the outskirts of the city.
