The first hour passed in relentless assault, with the crimson flames carving through the creature’s body. The second hour followed with even greater intensity, as Damon refined his control further, each strike landing with terrifying precision while the massive devourer steadily shrank, its once overwhelming presence now clearly diminished.

When the third hour began... all of a sudden, the world started to tremble.

A shockwave swept across the barren land without warning, rippling through the cracked plains and scattering the ash-like remnants of the collapsing creature. The air itself distorted, as if something had forcibly entered this space without permission.

Damon’s eyes snapped upward instantly. "...someone’s here." He had expected one company or the other before he got the bloodline in his hands but he did not expect it to happen so soon.

Before he could even fully assess the disturbance, a figure appeared in the distance, descending slowly from the dull grey sky. The newcomer stood tall, his presence sharp and oppressive, carrying a weight that immediately marked him as someone far beyond the creatures Damon had faced so far.

It was an elf. His features were refined, almost unnaturally perfect, but his expression was cold and indifferent, as if the destruction around him meant nothing. A faint aura radiated from his body, dense and controlled, giving off the unmistakable pressure of a B rank existence.

Damon’s gaze hardened. However, before he could react another presence tore into the world.

This one did not descend gracefully. It arrived like a force of nature, landing heavily on the cracked ground with a dull thud that sent fissures spreading outward. The figure straightened slowly, revealing a man dressed in simple monk robes, his head shaved, his posture calm, yet his aura was equally terrifying. 𝘧𝓇ℯℯ𝑤ℯ𝘣𝓃ℴ

Damon frowned slightly. "A monk?"

The two arrivals did not even acknowledge Damon’s existence at first. Their eyes were locked onto each other.

The elf’s face twisted with disdain. "So you crawled all the way here as well. I should have known the vultures from White Planet wouldn’t stay away."

The monk’s expression remained serene. "You misunderstand," he said calmly. "I am here to relieve this suffering soul of its sins and guide it toward liberation."

The elf let out a cold snort, his lips curling into a faint sneer. "Spare me that sanctimonious nonsense. I know exactly what you people are."

The monk calmly smiled.

"The so-called monks of White Planet... paragons of purity, followers of the benevolent god Saketh. That is the story you sell to the rest of the cosmos." The elf snorted. "But the truth?" Killing intent seeped into the air.

"You cultivate suffering. You spread bad karma across worlds just to harvest the good karma that follows. You don’t save souls. You create the very misery you claim to cleanse."

The monk exhaled slowly, his palms coming together in a gesture of prayer, though there was nothing gentle about the aura surrounding him anymore. "If ignorance were a sin," he said quietly, "you would have long since drowned in it."

The elf smiled faintly. "And if hypocrisy were punished... your entire order would have been wiped out already."

Damon watched the exchange silently, his mind racing. Standing in front of him were two B ranks, both extremely powerful and both here for the same target. Was it him or the giant jelly?

As if the monk read his mind, suddenly his gaze shifted to Damon. "Your words hurt, Prince Kelvin. Why fight amongst ourselves unnecessarily when there are two of them?" He chuckled.

The elf snorted. "What if I want both of them?"

"Ho Ho. That would be too bad then. I would have to oppose you with the full power of the sanga. Our benevolent God is long due for a grand offering," the monk finished, his smile widening. "And such an offering requires... worthy vessels."

"You finally dropped the act," the elven prince said, amused. "I was wondering how long you would keep pretending."

The monk did not deny it. "There is no pretense," he said softly. "Only perspective. You see exploitation. I see balance."

Kelvin laughed. "Balance? You butcher entire worlds just to harvest the aftermath."

"Sacrifice," the monk corrected calmly. "Everything in existence follows the same law. A sacrifice for the greater good. It is our sacrifices that keep this cosmos still alive."

"Sure. you delusional fool. Keep prattling on."

The monk laughed. "There is no need to talk about the good deeds we do. The grand karmic cycle is all knowing. Today, right here, a new karmic seed is about to be born and it is only rightful that we harvest it."

"Karmic seed? What a joke!" Kelvin sneered. "You idiots know nothing about the evil here. Leave this to me and begone. Otherwise, I might have to take extreme measures."

Damon couldn’t care less about what these two were saying. His mind was scrambling to think of what to do next. As soon as he felt the new guys enter, he had already transferred his people into his soul space. Now all that was left for him to do was leave and he could go scot free.

However, he couldn’t bring himself to do that. He was so close to getting something here. He was so close. The devourer behind him was already collapsing, its once terrifying presence reduced to a dying mass. Another push, just a little more and the bloodline would be his. Walking away now... It felt wrong.

How could he run and leave everything behind just like that? It was not like he did not expect this to happen. One or two uninvited guests were bound to pop up.

Damon’s eyes flickered once toward the dying creature, then back to the two figures standing before him. The elf, Prince Kelvin, radiated a sharp, cutting aura that felt like a blade poised to strike at any moment. The monk, on the other hand, was far more insidious, his calm presence pressing down like a quiet inevitability that threatened to swallow everything.

Could he really face these two? No. He had to. There was no other way.

In an instant, Damon summoned his blood avatars, and the next moment all chaos broke loose.
