Chapter 200: Kiss Me or I Will Kill You!

A tremendous explosion erupted somewhere beyond the estate, causing the entire mansion to shake again and dust to fall from the ceiling. The trees outside bent violently.

For several seconds, everyone just stared outside with blank expressions.

Alpha slowly lowered his head. "He actually took her outside."

Chloe stared into the distance, her expression calm, but her eyes were glowing.

"Of course he did."

Gromda’s ears twitched.

"Should we help?"

Chloe looked toward the enormous flashes illuminating the night sky.

"No."

Alpha blinked. "No?"

Chloe calmly picked up her phone.

"Silas is probably enjoying himself."

Another explosion lit up the horizon. Gromda smiled.

"Mate very strange."

Alpha sighed.

"At this point, that’s the most normal thing about him."

Far beyond the estate, another shockwave tore through the peaceful atmosphere, while Silas’s laughter echoed.

"COME ON, ECHIDNA!"

The Mother of Monsters answered with a roar, and the Ashard Estate officially lost its peaceful afternoon.

***

The explosion outside the Ashard Estate was loud enough to send birds scattering from the surrounding trees. A cloud of dust rose beyond the estate walls.

Inside the living room, everyone stared toward the windows. Alpha slowly lowered his head into his hands.

"They’re actually fighting."

Gromda nodded. "Mate fighting new mate."

Anna sighed.

"That’s one way to describe it."

Chloe folded her arms.

"No. They’re flirting."

Everyone looked at her. She stared back with an expression of complete certainty.

"Violently."

***

Outside the Ashard Estate, the early-afternoon sunlight illuminated the ruined patch of grass outside the estate. Silas stood several dozen meters away from Echidna, his pink hair dancing in the breeze.

Echidna stood entirely in her humanoid form, her golden eyes narrowed at him, her dark hair flowing behind her. She looked beautiful, but she also looked furious.

"Kiss me, or I will kill you!" Her voice thundered across the estate.

"You’re really bad at romance." Silas blinked.

Echidna’s eye twitched. "I am not asking again!"

Silas grinned. "Then don’t."

For half a second, Echidna just stared at him. Then-

BOOM!

She disappeared. The ground beneath her feet exploded as she launched herself toward him. Silas vanished as well.

Their figures collided in the middle of the field.

WHAM!

Echidna swung her fist, but Silas leaned backward, and her fist passed barely an inch from his face.

"Too slow." He smiled.

"What?!"

Silas disappeared; Echidna spun around, but found nothing. Her golden eyes rapidly scanned the area.

"Where-"

A hand suddenly landed against her backside, causing the bouncy flesh of the two luscious balls to ripple like waves of the ocean.

Smack!

She froze. Silas stood behind her with the most innocent expression imaginable.

"Got you."

Her entire face turned bright red.

"You..."

Silas immediately backed away.

"You have to admit, that was funny... and enjoyable."

Echidna’s pupils narrowed. Her fangs slowly emerged.

"I will bite you."

Silas’s grin widened.

"Try."

Echidna lunged; Silas disappeared again, causing her claws to tear through empty air.

"Stop running!"

"No."

"Stand still!"

"Absolutely not."

She swung her leg; Silas ducked beneath it. The enormous shockwave from her kick swept across the field, flattening several trees in the distance.

Silas glanced at the destruction.

"You really don’t do subtle, do you?"

"I am Echidna!"

"Yeah, I noticed."

She charged again, and this time, Silas didn’t retreat. He stepped forward, and their fists collided.

BOOM!

The shockwave rippled outward. Echidna’s eyes widened. Silas was actually matching her strength.

She smiled. "There you are."

Her other hand shot toward his chest, but he caught her wrist. Echidna immediately twisted, attempting to break his grip, but Silas followed her movement rather than resisting it.

He stepped around her, one hand remaining around her wrist, while the other suddenly settled around her waist.

Echidna froze, her golden eyes widening. Silas leaned closer.

"Got you again."

Her face became even redder. "You..."

For the first time during their entire battle, Echidna didn’t attack. Silas raised an eyebrow.

"What happened?"

"Let go."

"You told me to stop running."

"I changed my mind."

"That’s unfortunate."

Silas gently spun her around, and Echidna found herself facing him. Their faces were only inches apart. She stared into his glowing pink eyes.

For someone who had threatened to destroy an entire estate moments ago, she suddenly looked remarkably uncertain.

"Why..." she whispered.

"Why what?"

"Why do you keep doing that?"

Silas smiled.

"Doing what?"

"Getting close."

"You keep trying to kill me."

"That isn’t an answer."

Silas shrugged. "Maybe I like seeing you flustered."

Echidna’s cheeks burned.

"I am not flustered."

"You are."

"I’m not."

"Your face is red."

"It is the heat."

"It’s fifteen degrees."

"What is fifteen degrees?"

Silas laughed, but Echidna glared at him. Then she suddenly smiled.

"You’re enjoying this."

"Very much."

"Good."

Her hands moved toward his shoulders. Silas’s smile faded slightly.

"Why?"

Echidna leaned closer.

"Because now..." Her golden eyes gleamed. "...it’s my turn."

She suddenly headbutted him.

THUNK!

Silas staggered backward.

"OW!"

Echidna burst into laughter.

"HAHAHAHA!"

Silas rubbed his forehead.

"That wasn’t romantic!"

"I never said it would be!"

She charged again. Silas grinned.

"Oh, you’re going down."

The two disappeared simultaneously, and a series of explosions erupted across the field.

BOOM!

WHAM!

CRACK!

Every few seconds, one of them would appear, exchange several blows, and vanish again, yet neither was truly trying to kill the other. Echidna’s claws repeatedly stopped just short of Silas’s vital points.

Silas’s attacks were similarly restrained.

Their battle had become something strange- half combat, half courtship, and entirely chaotic. From the balcony of the estate, Chloe watched with her arms crossed.

Anna stood beside her, while Gromda leaned over the railing. Alpha had wisely remained several steps behind them.

Chloe narrowed her eyes. "They’re flirting again."

"Violently." Anna nodded.

Alpha sighed. "I preferred when we were fighting monsters."

Gromda smiled.

"Mate happy."

Chloe glanced toward her.

"Unfortunately, so is Echidna."

Another explosion shook the estate, causing everyone to look toward the field. Silas and Echidna appeared simultaneously.

Echidna was smiling, and Silas was smiling, but neither attacked. They just stood there, staring at each other. Then Echidna slowly approached.

Silas didn’t move. She stopped directly in front of him, her voice becoming surprisingly soft.

"So..." She looked into his eyes. "Are you going to kiss me?"

"Maybe." Silas smiled.

Echidna’s eyebrow twitched.

"Maybe?"

"Depends."

"On what?"

Silas leaned closer.

"Whether you can behave."

Echidna stared at him for a few seconds and smiled, a dangerous, mischievous smile.

"I make no promises."

Silas laughed.

"That’s exactly what I expected."

And somewhere inside the estate, the entire household collectively realized that this was probably going to become their new normal.
