Chapter 448 - Fed Up
Soon after the Goliath left, Eisen cracked his knuckles and started cleaning up the scraps that were leftover from the creation of the Magic Sword, and then happened to glance at his Multitool still laying on the worktable. That reminded him, there was something that he still hadn't made, that was supposed to go with his Demonic Sword and Tool.
There were the two gems that were left when the Masses of Yin and Yang were absorbed. Eisen still wasn't entirely sure what he should use them for... He had an idea, but he went back on that already. Considering how Eisen now actually felt pain here, he didn't want to have to rip his own arm off multiple times in a row just to get more of these.
"Hmm..." The old man muttered quietly, and in the end chose to simply... Let them be. He would use them when he really had a reason to. And right now, he didn't. As he wasn't really sure what to use them for, it seemed like a bad idea to just maky any old item with these rare gems.
"Well, guess I've got to find out more about Demons?" Eisen muttered to himself, although just then a thought that he really, really hadn't payed attention to crossed his mind.
The 'old' Eisen also was a Demon, apparently... But what kind of Demon was he? Was he the 'Golden Eyed Demon' as well, or did he have another title..?
There was no use thinking about that for now, he just had to ask some of the Guardians in Prototype at some point, although he felt quite dumb for not asking about it yet.
Either way, for now, Eisen just continued cleaning up and placed his Multitool properly onto his Apron again and then got rid of everything inside of the small space carved into the wall behind the stall, before looking at the others currently helping out in the stall.
"Let's start clearing up soon. I already let Sigurd know, so they should be coming back in a bit as well." The old man pointed out, and the others nodded their heads before Eisen himself took a look at the earnings for the day.
"Hmm... Excluding what Gaurkon gave us... 30 Silver, huh? That seems good enough for small items like this." Eisen said with a satisfied nod, "Although, I guess it's really most profitable to work on items like that, huh?" The old man chuckled quietly to himself before placing the small money-exchange item back into its slot, and then helped packing everything else up as well to make it easier to move it into the Dungeon when Sigurd was back.
And then, once they were done with that, they all just sat down behind the stall for a while to wait for Sigurd and Fafnir, and Eisen couldn't help himself but keep looking at the fox that Kirisho had been constantly holding in her arms.
"You really like it, huh?" Eisen asked with a smile on his face, and the Mist-Spirit swiftly nodded her head in response. "Yes, she's quite a beauty, isn't she?" She chuckled as she ran her hand through the Fox Ego-Golem's metallic fur.
"I'm glad." The old man returned, and then slowly looked toward the three monster-children playing around with each other a bit, before Kirisho slowly looked at Eisen curiously.
"Erm... Do you... Do you remember your children?" She asked, and Eisen raised his brows surprised, before just looking back at her. "What do you mean?" Eisen replied, and Kirisho turned over toward Sky and Bree, both of which also seemed to be quite curious about this, and then looked back at Eisen.
"Well, we have met three of your Grandchildren... Kiron, Stahl, and Alnico. So that means you must have children as well. We know about Trygan, however... What about the others?" She asked, and then slowly started to hug the Fox a bit tighter, while Eisen just smiled back, and just when he was about to open his mouth to respond to speak about Melody, Tony and Natsuo, he felt a wave of self-disgust and horror hit him, and he simply instinctively convulsed his body forward as he pressed his hand onto his mouth in fear of throwing up.
"E-Eisen, are you okay?!" Bree exclaimed with clear worry in her voice, and the old man just stared down at the ground underneath him.
He... He didn't remember. But it was clear that he had relationships here in this world, whether they were romantic or merely carnal... After all, the only one that abstained from such relationships amongst the Five that peaked was... Brody.
And surely, in a hundred thousand years of relationships of any form, he must have had children, right?
But he remembered none of them. Eisen knew that things were going on, and that it wasn't his fault that he didn't remember- Although, he actually didn't know WHAT was going on, and from his recent knowledge, it seemed like he maybe was the one at fault of losing his memories.
"I... I'm sorry, I didn't..." Kirisho muttered immediately as she jumped onto her feet and looked forward at Eisen with worry at what was going on. It seemed like she understood exactly what Eisen's reaction to that question meant.
However, the old man himself simply forced his own hand away from his mouth and looked back up with a smile.
"I'm fine, don't worry. Sorry, I don't remember any of them. I will let you know when I do." Eisen chuckled and then swiftly stood up again, his whole body tensed up because he practically had to force himself to move.
"Ah, perfect! Sigurd and Fafnir are coming already!" The old man exclaimed to change the topic and moved to the front of the stall to walk toward the two of them, to get away from that situation as quickly as he could. After all, he couldn't actually tell them about the situation that was going on. Just with that thought, Eisen turned around toward the place where he figured a certain angel would be, and then with a quiet voice said, "If you find out exactly what happens when Artificials reveal the situation... I will tell you everything about my life over there." He said, and then quickly turned back toward Sigurd and Fafnir, who had been proudly walking up to him.
"So? How was business today for your side?" The Core Guardian asked with a slight smirk, and Eisen just smiled back at it. "Made roughly 80 Silver, finished a bigger comission... Stuff like that. Pretty boring otherwise. And for you two?" The old man inquired as he started rubbing his hand over the small Dragon-Dungeon's head, and Sigurd crossed its arm with a broad grin.
"Haha, our situation was much better! There was a smug artificial adventurer who held a big'ol speech in front of the Boss-Room to his party members, also all Artificials, and they died during the first wave! It was hilarious, haha!" It exclaimed and Eisen raised his brow with a smile. "Well, well... I wasn't aware you were so sadistic." Eisen chuckled, and Sigurd shook its head immediately.
"Hehe, it's not that part that's making me happy~! You know, sometimes inside of the Dungeon when an artificial dies, they leave behind things that aren't directly on their body! And coincidentally, they just so happened to drop this little piece of paper here~!" Sigurd explained and held forward the note, before Eisen took it and raised his brows in surprise at what he saw.
"The Silver Treasure of the Sky?" He read, "It's a... treasure Map?" Eisen asked surprised, and Sigurd nodded its head immediately.
"Yup! So cool, right?!" It asked, and Eisen nodded his head in response.
"It is, actually. Now we don't have to search the whole place to find her." The old man said and swiftly rubbed his hand through Sigurd's hair, while it just looked up at him surprised.
"Huh? To find 'her'?" It repeated, so Eisen simply smirked at it. "Yup. The Silver Dragoness... Marcear, was it? She lives on the highest mountain of this Dwarven Country, and this here is describing the route on top of that mountain... At least as far as I recognize from maps. And obviously, 'Silver Treasure of the Sky' means the gift you get from Marcear after you pass her trial." Eisen pointed out as he pushed the note into the front pocket of his apron.
"Thanks, you're saving us a fair amount of time." The old man laughed loudly and then turned toward the Stall. "Come on, let's pack up and get to the Inn." Eisen pointed out, and the Core Guardian excitedly followed behind together with the Living Dungeon, and the Stall disappeared before anyone knew it. Of course the onlookers were quite surprised to see this, but Eisen simply couldn't help himself but smirk at their reaction, before the group made their way through the town toward the actual Inn they would be staying in, and Kirisho ended up slowly stepping up beside him.
"Eisen... Are you sure you don't want to speak about what just happened?" She asked with concern in her voice, and the old man just slightly turned his face toward her and winked, "Don't worry, I'm completely fine. I was just freaking out over nothing right there." Eisen pointed out and then turned back forward, while Kirisho simply looked at him bitterly and nodded her head. "I see..." She muttered quietly.
Soon enough, the group made their way to the actual Inn around sundown and stepped into the rather busy structure.
It took a while for them to actually make their way through, although at some point Eisen just didn't want to bother anymore and just forced his way through to the bar while making sure the others could follow behind, and the Bar area was even busier than the entrance.
The only spot that didn't seem busy was the private room in the back, where he figured Gralmar had set everything up for them, something that he happened to confirm when the door to the private room slowly opened and closed again when an employee came out of there, and he happened to catch a glance of Denmir sitting there.
Slowly he turned around toward the others and tried to let them know where to go, while some 'Artificial' Bards were playing loud music on a small stage in the corner. This place had basically turned into a nightclub. Now that he thought about it, in real life, it was around 2am at that moment.
Soon enough, Eisen finally managed to push through to the private room's door, although there were apparently some others that wanted to get in as well, but were held back by the 'bouncer' standing in front of the door.
Considering that Eisen didn't know them, he figured that the bouncer did his job well and just smiled at him as he tried to approach the door. "Sorry old man, this room's invite only." The Bouncer said, and Eisen stopped moving immediately.
"Really, again?" He asked annoyedly. Eisen was really getting fed up with these things. That in itself was quite weird though, considering how immature it was... But lately, it felt like he had been getting more immature anyway...
"Just leave and get to the regular bar, please." The bouncer added, and Eisen just sighed deeply and shook his head. "Sorry, I'm Eisen, I'm the one that called the whole meet-up in there together. So please, step aside, and let me meet my friends."
"Hm, that's a new one. Sorry pal, I don't know ya, so-"
"Right, this isn't going anywhere." Eisen said with a slight frown on his face and simply grabbed the bouncer by his shoulders and forced him to step aside before opening the door to the private room.
"Hey, what are you doing?!" The Bouncer yelled angrily, but Eisen just turned to him with a glare while Denmir, Folmirra, Jekyll, Gralmar and Morrom all did the same.
"And what are ye doing?! Let 'im in already!" Gralmar yelled out, and the bouncer just looked at Eisen confused as the old man himself just let the others go in first, holding back some random guy that wanted to sneak his way in, and then stepped into the room himself, shutting the door behind him.
