Space Odyssey from Abandoned Mining Space Station

Chapter 1355: Climate Transformation

  • Next Chapter

Chen Ming placed the sensor data transmitted from the probe flying towards the sun in front of him, carefully observing the state of the solar flare.

He could see the general shape of the flare, which was not much different from a typical solar flare.

It was just a significant amount of Stellar Material being ejected, forming a flare that could be directly observed.

This flare was unusually bright, making it impossible for Chen Ming’s current observation methods to clearly see the details of the flare.

And just when Chen Ming was planning to send the Supreme Point’s surveillance device near the star for a new round of high-precision investigation,

the flare, which was initially on the surface of the star, suddenly turned and re-entered the star.

All the Stellar Material that erupted fell back into the star, and could no longer be observed.

Although this was somewhat coincidental, the flares that erupt, being the Stellar Material ejected by the star, indeed have the possibility of falling back into the star.

And as Chen Ming sent the probe near the star to scan it, no further anomalies were detected.

Though due to the nature of the star itself, it’s very unlikely for any surveillance device to directly penetrate deeply into the star, observing only the surface of the star shows nothing suspicious.

This genuinely seemed to be just an ordinary flare.

Although the doubt in Chen Ming’s mind could not be dispelled, he could only choose to leave more surveillance devices to monitor this dim star.

As long as any new changes occur, he would receive the news immediately.

Chen Ming spent a bit of Spiritual Power to set up a large number of surveillance devices around the star.

Meanwhile, the exploration ships he had sent to other planets also obtained preliminary investigation results.

The conditions of those planets were similar to the situation on the Gaia Planet, which Chen Ming had personally inspected.

Except for the outermost planet in the Star System, which was furthest from the star, the other planets weren’t originally frozen planets.

They became frozen due to the cooling impact brought by the decrease in stellar temperature.

Chen Ming’s exploration ships even discovered traces of life beneath the ice layer of one planet.

Yet, they were just traces.

Unlike the Gaia Planet where Chen Ming currently resides, this planet did not possess such a powerful self-regulating ecological ability.

After the planet was frozen, there was no longer any living life present, only death was left on it.

However, even so, this planet still holds research and development value.

Other planets within the Star System are the same.

Though scarce compared to the abundant planetary resources in the Primordial Star System, whether they were the currently snowy frozen planets or the former planets beneath the ice, they were quite decent planets.

Even if there weren’t any other frozen planets in the Star System, the Gaia Planet alone is already attractive enough for Chen Ming to develop this Star System.

Chen Ming currently has the Primordial Star System as a colony before the Wormhole.

Then after the Wormhole, he naturally needs a similar location.

This was something Chen Ming had planned in advance.

Except when he entered the Wormhole, arriving at the world beyond the Wormhole,

he happened to encounter a Black Hole next to the Wormhole, containing a Plane Nightmare.

Facing a Black Hole is daunting enough, as the Black Hole itself holds some deterrent power, the Wormhole’s exit being near the Black Hole would increase the significance of the Primordial Star System.

Chen Ming can construct the colony in the post-Wormhole world farther away from the Black Hole.

But what he absolutely did not expect was that after resolving the Plane Nightmare, the Wormhole just directly vanished.

Initially, Chen Ming wasn’t sure whether this counted as a good or bad outcome.

However, after he reached the Star System faster than the Wormhole and confirmed the situation, Chen Ming believed this was a good thing.

He can attempt to establish the colony behind the Wormhole here, physically the two colonies are separated by an entire universe.

Yet, they effectively correspond to being in the same Star System, this unique situation brings additional benefits to both Star Systems.

Just Chen Ming wasn’t clear about one thing.

That is, since the Wormhole is still moving, it can potentially continue moving after arriving in this Star System.

If the Wormhole evades again, it would be quite troublesome.

Of course, Chen Ming does have some solutions, but it would require a bit more effort.

But as Chen Ming gazed at the Gaia Planet possessing Self-consciousness,

feeling that as he resides on the Gaia Planet, the entire planet modifies itself in response to his presence just to make the environment more accommodating to him.

He indeed wants to find a way to protect the Gaia Planet and incorporate it into part of his colony.

This planet and Star System are worth such efforts from him.

Chen Ming isn’t exceptionally knowledgeable about climate Transformation technology and needs to take some time to inquire about its application, which will also need a certain period.

But he has endured years for the colony’s construction, this little time doesn’t make a difference.

Moreover, the self-awareness of the Gaia Planet will undoubtedly cooperate with Chen Ming to improve the planetary climate, the effectiveness of climate Transformation will surely be realized faster than expected.

Besides, honestly, this matter itself won’t occupy much of Chen Ming’s time.
