Space Odyssey from Abandoned Mining Space Station
Chapter 1344 - 374: Plane Nightmare (2)
Chen Ming himself was not interested in this topic, so he didn’t pursue the matter further.
"I hope we can coexist peacefully, rather than conflict over some trivial things."
"Yes, it should be this way."
"Let’s talk about it later then."
Chen Ming put away the terminal and looked up at the Supreme Point’s porthole still near the black hole.
The Psychic Director immediately asked, "What should we do?"
"First, let’s check if the intelligence is true, then send back the message of the Shimmering Civilization Survivor. I’ll hold onto the communication device."
"Okay."
The Psychic Director had no objections, since anything mechanical that Chen Ming touched was always decided by Chen Ming; nobody else’s opinion mattered.
Chen Ming took some time to compile the document, recording the entire process of his investigation and discovery of the Shimmering Civilization’s ship and Survivor.
After letting the Psychic Director review it without finding any issues, Chen Ming directly sent the document to everyone in his contact list who was entitled to see it, letting them sort it out themselves.
Additionally, Chen Ming directly shut down the terminal to avoid being disturbed while he worked later.
Publishing the Survivor’s message would at least result in a line of people calling him.
Chen Ming stored the switched-off terminal and asked the Psychic Director, "Do you want to stay and watch the follow-up?"
"I’m not the one responsible for researching the Shimmering Civilization, so I’m not in a hurry."
Chen Ming nodded, issued orders to the Insect Queen, and organized a new batch of the main fleet.
He roughly estimated the combat power of the Plane Nightmare and finally decided to bring over three hundred Insect Race main ships, which should suffice.
The newly reorganized main fleet appeared near the Supreme Point soon after.
Then, after showing themselves briefly, they entered phase space together with the Supreme Point, lurking within and preparing for another strike.
At this point, inside the black hole’s event horizon, the Plane Nightmare’s situation didn’t seem to have changed much compared to before.
The huge wound inflicted by Chen Ming’s previous Insect Race fleet and various weapons in a synchronized attack, nearly splitting its body in half, had disappeared, and the injuries on its back were almost completely healed.
The black hole material that had scattered was seemingly reabsorbed by it.
This creature truly possessed formidable regenerative abilities.
However, it didn’t matter. Chen Ming’s target this time was not the previous wound, but its fat abdomen stuck near the black hole’s exit, apparently the abdomen.
The Insect Race fleet in phase space was slowly approaching when the Psychic Director suddenly whispered, "These ships seem to..."
"What’s wrong?"
"They feel a little different from the ones you sent before."
"Yes."
Chen Ming admitted, "I altered some weapon configurations."
The weapons initially equipped on the Insect Race were those he intended to test.
During the first wave of tests, Chen Ming had almost confirmed the effectiveness of most of the weapons.
Thus, while engaging with the Survivor and preparing the new Insect Race fleet, Chen Ming specially manufactured a batch of new weapons that performed well in those tests.
These were evenly installed on half of the three hundred main ships.
As for the remaining half of the ships.
Chen Ming installed newly replicated Energy-Accumulating Arc Emitters based on his study of the emitter’s principles, and the recent time was sufficient for him to thoroughly grasp this technology.
This resulted in a several-hundredfold increase in the total number of Energy-Accumulating Arc Emitters.
Chen Ming felt that this weapon was extremely promising but lacked a suitable combat environment.
Thus, he planned to test the suitable environment for this somewhat special weapon.
Luckily, the target hadn’t exploded yet, allowing for another test run.
It was because of the Insect Race fleet’s now somewhat standardized weaponry that made the Psychic Minister feel the fleet seemed different from the previous chaotic state with all sorts of weaponry.
After explaining, Chen Ming continued to let the Insect Race fleet approach the previous strike location in phase space.
Subtly, the Plane Nightmare seemed to sense danger again.
This innate ability belonging to Psychics and Spiritual Creatures told it danger was imminent, but it couldn’t respond to the danger.
Its limbs wildly flailed, tearing at the surrounding space, but without direct contact with phase space, it couldn’t shred the barrier between the two spaces.
Chen Ming even had the time and leisure to adjust the firing timing of each weapon based on the distance of each Hercules in the fleet.
Ensuring every piece of ammunition, energy bullet, or energy beam fired would simultaneously hit.
Aimed to take it out in one go, leaving no chance for counterattack.
The hive mind connectivity among the Insect Race consciousness in the Insect Race warships made achieving this feasible without any issue.
In less than a minute, the Insect Race fleet had already arranged the firing schedule.
The Purgatory Ray began accumulating energy, and charging signs appeared on other energy weapons.
Meanwhile, all solid bullet weapons fired earlier than energy weapons, and once a veritable wall of steel from the phase space hit the Plane Nightmare, tearing its gelatinous skin,
a red ray accompanied by hundreds of energy arcs that seemed capable of illuminating the purple-black hole immediately blasted onto the wound opened by the solid bullet weapons.
