'Phew….finally, they left.'

Lucas heaved a sigh of relief when he noticed that the three Haunting ethereals left the Hidden valley.

'Ding, 

          Congratulations to the host for successfully completing the mission.

'Ding,

          The host is rewarded with an advanced spell scroll.

Even though he heaved a sigh of relief, he was still worrying for the three spirit beasts to come back into the Hidden valley; however, after hearing the system notifications, Lucas was completely relieved.

'This mission looked very simple on the surface; however, the mission failure was my death. So, an advanced spell scroll can be considered as an average reward.'

Lucas looked at the scroll in his inventory without any spell name on it and muttered to himself.

Also, he didn't bother to learn it because he still needed to learn an intermediate spell to become a lesser mage.

'Without that rank, I will be having an advanced spell just for namesake as it will be sealed by the system anyway.'

Lucas already has an advanced spell which he got from the 'Infernal mage's dungeon'; however, it was sealed as he was still a Mage apprentice.

'Should I visit the Mages guild to buy an intermediate spell scroll?'

Lucas thought about it.

Even though the Mages Guild in the Silverstone town would only sell average or lousy intermediate spells, I just need an intermediate spell and the quality doesn't matter to me.

'Anyway, I still have to stay in the Viscount grounds for another 8 hours and it's only three hours until sunset. As long as I can survive for another three hours, all the spirit beasts like Haunting Ethereals will go back to their liars.'

Lucas hid among the branches of the trees in the hidden valley.

In the weapons pavilion,

'Knock knock'

"Pavilion head...pavilion head"

James, the vice pavilion head knocked on the door of the pavilion head's room.

"What is it, James? Can't you see that I am sleeping?"

With a sleepy look on his face, Finn opened the door as he asked James.

Finn swore to punish James if the reason for waking him up at this hour was not good.

"There is a transmission from the royal city saying that the adventurer guild from the royal city knew about our plan to take over the Silverstone town."

James hurriedly replied the reason for his visit as he continued, "It also stated that, there will be a higher knight coming to the Silverstone town by tomorrow."

"What?"

The sleepiness on Finn's face disappeared without a trace as he was shocked by James' words.

"What are the orders for us?"

Without wasting any time, Finn asked about the orders from the royal city.

"They ordered us to open the evil portal today itself. By the time that higher knight reaches Silverstone town, they ask us that we have to save the town and show our merits to the royal family."

James informed Finn about all the orders from the royal city's weapons pavilion.

"Are they sure about it? Or are they trying to eliminate us?"

Finn felt doubtful regarding the orders from the royal city.  So, he asked James as he was not only the vice head of this branch of the weapons pavilion but also his main advisor.

"I felt the same in the beginning; however, they said that no one except for the Weapons pavilion knows about the existence of the devices that can open the evil portals."

"So, are you saying that, as long as we open the portal and gain the merits, we can not only escape the questioning from the adventurer's guild but we can become the owner of this town?"

Finn was excited when he heard James reply and hurriedly ordered, "Prepare everyone. Let's open the portal at the entrance of the town just like how we planned."

"Yes, Pavilion head. It will take at least six hours to prepare. So, let's open it after six hours."

Even though James didn't like this plan, he was too deep into the shit to come out now. So, he went along with the plan without any hesitation.

"Sure. Go ahead. Don't forget to take out the supplies like Rage potions, healing potions, and healing pills along with our special weapons."

Finn nodded his head as he finished his words with a serious look on his face, "There should not be any mistakes this time."

"Don't worry, Pavilion head. I will take care of it."

James nodded his head as he left to prepare for the evil portal that they were going to open.

Time continued to pass and three hours passed in a flash.

'Finally, it's morning.'

Lucas was alert after the incident with the Haunting ethereals.

Despite the fact he was found out by the Haunting ethereals in the hidden valley previously, he intentionally didn't leave it because he didn't know where those Haunting ethereals were searching for him.

However, he was sure about one thing and it was, they would not look at a single place and it was the Hidden valley.

'Even though it's morning, it is best to scout the area first.'

"Phantom, you can come out."

Soon, he called Phantom eagle which was resting in his shadow because it would be good for the scouting.

'Screech'

Soon, a brown coloured eagle came out of his shadow and landed on his shoulder.

"Huh? Is it your day form?"

Even though Lucas knew that the Phantom eagles and the Silent phantoms have two forms, he was still surprised at the day form of the Phantom eagle which looked just like a normal eagle without even a rank 1 strength.

'Yes, master. Previously, it was a sparrow; however, with my evolution, it has changed to an eagle now.'

Phantom replied to Lucas and asked, 'What are my orders, master?'

"Scout the area for any rank 4 spirit beasts. Be careful of the flying type spirit beasts though."

Nodding his head, Lucas gave the orders to the Phantom, which flew into the sky with a loud screech.

Lucas didn't have a single clue that in three hours, the weapons pavilion was planning to open the evil portal in the Silverstone town.
