Vol 2. Chapter 75: Welcome to the Kindergarten of Destruction! (75)
It had been a week since Sejun started working nights at DD Entertainment.
“Daddy, Taecho has an owie here.”
Taecho called out to Sejun, who was sipping coffee, and opened her mouth.
“Let’s see. What gave our Taecho an owie? Say ah.”
“Ah.”
Sejun peeked into Taecho’s mouth. He figured it was probably a fishbone from lunch stuck between her teeth.
But—
“Huh?!”
What is that?
A black, decayed tooth was visible. A cavity.
Even the Primordial God can get a cavity?!
Normally, Taecho as the Primordial God shouldn’t be able to get cavities, but she had turned human to resemble Sejun. Her basic structure was now just like a human’s.
But Taecho brushed her teeth every day.
Sejun personally made sure to clean every corner of her teeth, so a cavity shouldn’t have formed.
What’s going on?
“Taecho, be honest. Did you eat anything without telling Daddy?”
Sejun asked sternly.
“Well… actually, Kkamang oppa gave me dried roasted sweet potatoes at night and I ate five.”
“How many times?”
If it was enough to rot a tooth, it couldn’t have been just once or twice.
“Um… maybe thirty nights?”
Knew it…
Park Kkamang, that punk. He has dragon teeth so they won’t rot, but Taecho doesn’t!
Kkihihit. Kking! Kking! Kking!
[Hehe! I’ve been found out! That’s right! The great Kkamang secretly took care of the youngest behind the butler’s back!]
Kkamang puffed up, proud of himself, completely misreading the mood.
“Park Kkamang!”
Kking?!
Expecting praise, Kkamang’s cheeks were grabbed.
“You punk! Why are you feeding Taecho at night?! Her tooth is rotten!”
And he got dangled upside down.
“Taecho, your tooth is rotten?! Does that mean your tooth gets stepped on like Daddy’s?”
Taecho was shocked by Sejun’s words.
“Puhuhut. The youngest’s rot is different from Chairman Park’s rot, nya! Don’t worry, nya!”
“Phew, that’s a relief.”
Thanks to Theo’s kind explanation, Taecho recovered from the shock.
But—
Now Sejun was in a foul mood.
“Iona, do you happen to have a cavity healing spell?”
“Kkyut-kkyut-kkyut. Sorry. I don’t.”
He had asked Iona on the off-chance, but sadly, out of the thousands of spells Iona knew, none could heal a cavity.
Most Tower residents had such strong teeth that cavities were rare.
“There is a spell to strengthen bones, so I’ll use that to give her an emergency dental treatment.”
“Okay. Thanks.”
Thanks to Iona’s magic, they stopped the decay from progressing.
“Taecho, let’s brush your teeth and go to bed.”
“Okay!”
Sejun cleaned Taecho’s teeth thoroughly and put her down for a nap with the other Destruction kids.
Then—
“Let’s discuss ideas to handle this emergency.”
He gathered the group to brainstorm how to treat Taecho’s cavity.
“Sejun, let’s just pull the tooth. Teeth grow back, right?”
“Puhuhut. As expected from the brilliant fiancée of the great hybrid Chairman Park, Lady Aileen, nya! A genius idea, nya!”
“Ehem.”
Aileen lifted her chin proudly at Theo’s praise.
She’s beautiful…
Sejun stared at her, dazed.
At that moment—
Kkuhehehe. Kkueng!
[Hehehe! Kkueng has a good idea too, da-yo!]
Kkueng raised his front foot.
“Oh. Let’s hear it, Kkueng.”
Kkueng!
[Taecho should get dragon teeth like Kkamang, da-yo!]
“Hmm. Let’s think about that.”
Kkueng had suggested dragon tooth implants.
Kkihihit. Kking!
[Hehe! Don’t worry, butler! The great Kkamang will educate the bacteria!]
“Like hell that’ll work!”
Kkamang only made Sejun angrier and was dangled again.
Kking…
[Butler’s mean…]
Pat. Pat.
Sejun patted Kkamang’s backside as he sulked with his back turned.
“All ideas, rejected.”
Pulling the tooth wasn’t an option.
In her human state, Taecho’s teeth wouldn’t regrow endlessly.
And if they replaced all her teeth with dragon teeth, her powers might grow stronger to match.
Then they might have to part ways with Taecho.
Sejun was too weak. So that was a no-go.
It’d be like burning the whole house down to catch a flea.
“So we’re going to the dentist.”
Honestly, that was Sejun’s first thought too.
But—
How was he going to take Taecho to the dentist?
The problem started from the beginning. All kids fear the dentist.
Even I’m scared…
Even full-grown adult Sejun feared dentists.
That’s why he’d asked the others for ideas first.
Even if he managed to get her there, what if Taecho panicked during treatment and accidentally used her divine powers?
That would mean Earth’s destruction.
From beginning to end, there couldn’t be a single slip.
Sejun began crafting a meticulous plan—uncharacteristically serious—for what was essentially a cavity treatment.
To save Earth by treating Taecho’s cavity!
Whether it would work, he didn’t know.
While Sejun was laying out his elaborate strategy—
“Uzzazaza!”
“Hehe. Huljjuki dreamed about eating something yummy.”
“Hehe. Yamyam too.”
Taecho and the Destruction kids woke up from their nap.
“Taecho, come here.”
Sejun called her over discreetly.
“Daddy, what is it?”
“Taecho, wanna go eat pork cutlet with Daddy?”
Operation 2025: “Let’s Go Eat Pork Cutlet” was a go!
The number 2025 had deep meaning—complete the mission and safely reach the year 2025.
But—
“No. Taecho doesn’t like pork cutlet.”
Failed at the starting line.
“Huh?”
“Taecho likes dinosaur chicken nuggets like Uncle Ace.”
Luckily, not a complete failure.
“Oh. Then how about dinosaur chicken nuggets with Daddy?”
Sejun quickly switched the plan and tried again.
“Okay! But Daddy’s just gonna make them at home, right?”
Taecho had spotted the flaw in Sejun’s “elaborate” plan.
“Uh… well…”
As he hesitated—
“Oh! Are we going on a picnic?!”
Taecho shouted excitedly, remembering the amusement park trip.
“Ppicnic?!”
“Sp-pic!”
The other kids got excited too.
It’s over…
Sejun’s face twisted.
A simple dentist visit had spiraled out of control.
This is all your fault!
He glared at Kkamang, who was leaning against his leg, looking smug after getting his butt patted.
Kkihihit. Kking?! Kking!
[Hehe! Is it a staring contest?! The great Kkamang will win!]
Kkamang stared wide-eyed at Sejun, clueless as ever.
And then—
“Park Kkamang, what are you so proud of?!”
Got scolded again.
“No dried roasted sweet potatoes for a week.”
Now even his favorite snack was banned.
Kking! Kking! Kking!
[Nooo! Let me go! Pleeease!]
Kkamang clung to Sejun’s pants, begging for forgiveness.
Luckily, the pants were hand-stitched with spider silk by Komi and only stretched—they didn’t tear even under Kkamang’s dragon teeth.
Kkiiing…
Instead, he covered the hem of Sejun’s pants with his snot and tears.
“Sigh.”
What do I do with you, Park Kkamang…
Sejun softened.
“No more giving snacks to Taecho at night, got it?”
Pop.
He put a piece of dried sweet potato in Kkamang’s mouth.
Then—
Kkihihit. Kking!
[Hehe! Okay!]
Kkamang grinned, his mood instantly restored.
“Sigh. Look at your face. People will think you’re a mangy mutt. Gotta stay clean.”
Sejun wiped Kkamang’s snotty face and used a skill to clean him up before tucking him into a sling bag.
Normally, the word “mutt” would’ve set Kkamang off, but he was too busy enjoying his snack to care.
While Sejun took care of Kkamang—
“Kids, let’s get ready for the picnic!”
“Ppicnic ready! Mingming, get the blanket!”
“Kkangkkang, did you bring your fork?”
“Oh! Right! My fork!”
Taecho and the Destruction kids busied themselves packing bowls, forks, and favorite blankets.
Even the babies were covered:
“Gomgom will carry Chuchu, and Nene and Chacha will carry Ddaeddae and Aeeung!”
“Okay!”
“Yeah!”
They were already preparing to bring the toddlers.
“Sigh…”
What now?
To the kids, the picnic was already a done deal.
It was too late to say they weren’t going.
But the dentist visit still had to happen…
Operation 2025 was hanging by a thread.
No choice then.
Time to go in head-on!
“Taecho, to fix the owie, we have to go to the dentist.”
Sejun decided to be honest.
“Okay, then let’s go quick! Taecho wants to fix it and not be in pain!”
Taecho grabbed his hand and tugged, eager to go.
“Huh? Uh… yeah! Let’s go! Aileen, we’re off to the dentist!”
Surprised by her unexpected reaction, Sejun quickly called out before she could change her mind.
“Huh? We’re not going on the picnic?”
Aileen, who had been packing her bag, asked.
“Oh. The picnic’s on the weekend. That way Dongdong and the others can join us too.”
Sejun figured it’d be better to go with everyone.
“Picnic with the big kids! Yay!”
“Hehe. What should we do at the picnic with Nangnangi hyung?”
Thankfully, the kids were thrilled rather than disappointed.
“Ah, okay. Got it. Be careful then.”
“Yeah. Let’s go, kids.”
Sejun and the group flew to the dental clinic.
Before entering—
“Iona, use an invisibility spell on yourself and the kids.”
“Kkyut-kkyut-kkyut. Okay. Power of magic…”
Iona cast invisibility on herself, Theo, Kkueng, and Kkamang—just in case their fur would get them banned from entry.
Sejun went inside, registered, and waited.
Taecho was now legally listed as his daughter thanks to Han Tae-jun’s help, so there was no problem with registration.
“Oh my! The kid must take after her mom?”
“Yeah, doesn’t look like her dad at all.”
Seriously? You say that in front of me?!
The nurse and other patients chatted while glancing at Sejun and Taecho.
“That’s not true! Taecho takes after Daddy!”
Taecho stood with hands on hips, defending Sejun proudly.
“Where… um… she has five fingers… and two eyes…”
Just be quiet…
It wasn’t exactly reassuring.
While they were waiting—
“Aaaargh!”
A child’s scream came from the treatment room.
Whiiing. Whiiing.
The sound of a sharp machine followed.
Taecho’s face gradually turned pale.
Then—
“Um. Daddy, I think my owie’s gone now. Let’s go home.”
She clung to Sejun’s pants, clearly lying.
Earlier, she had no idea what a dentist was.
“Taecho, you just have to endure a little. It doesn’t hurt that much.”
“Really?”
“Yeah.”
“Then Daddy has to ★ 𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐥𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭 ★ go too.”
“Huh?”
“If Daddy gets treatment too, Taecho will do it.”
“Okay. Got it.”
Sejun agreed without hesitation.
He had dragon bones.
No way mere bacteria could chew through that.
Besides, he brushed thoroughly every day.
So, Sejun and Taecho lay side by side for treatment.
Two dentists approached.
“If it hurts, raise your hand.”
Whiiing. Whiiing.
As the dentist tested the machine—
“Aaaagh!”
Sejun screamed and raised his hand.
“…Sir, I haven’t even touched you yet.”
“Sigh. Sorry. Daddy’s just a big baby.”
Taecho sighed and apologized on Sejun’s behalf, mimicking an adult.
“……”
Sejun’s pride crumbled.
