After speaking, Evelyn laughed loudly carefreely.

"How come the tone I hear sounds like pride, not regret?" Caden exposed her unceremoniously.

Evelyn made a face at Caden then said softly, "Actually, if there were a life where we didn’t have to work, traveling the world, enjoying love, it would be really nice!"

Then, she quickly added, "But, we can’t do that now! At least let me work for two years, prove my own worth, before I can carefree play!"

She worried that Caden might indulge her every whim, then really leave the Lockwood Group behind and travel the world with her.

Such a life, though pleasant, would be too excessively carefree, making her feel unreal.

"Okay." Caden replied, "After you finish university and get tired of work, we’ll take our child and travel the world."

Evelyn was taken aback, "Child?"

"Isn’t it?" Caden looked at Evelyn’s belly, "There should be good news soon, right!"

"Do you think getting pregnant is that easy?" Evelyn’s heart was racing, speaking involuntarily louder.
