Six Months Contract With The Mafia God

Chapter 324: The Silent Extraction Operation

The Italian team moved, spreading out the schematics, beginning the detailed analysis.

Dimitri watched them work, assessing their competence, understanding why his father had chosen them.

These were men who lived and breathed tactical operations. Men who’d extracted hostages from worse situations. Men who would move with the kind of professional precision that made success inevitable.

Marco approached Dimitri quietly.

"They’re good," Marco said. "Really good. If anyone can pull this off, it’s them."

"That’s why they’re here," Dimitri said.

He turned from the window to look at the Italian team working through the schematics.

11:30 AM

The final briefing was happening in the operations center.

Giancarlo and his team stood before a large schematic of the warehouse, every detail memorized, every contingency planned.

"Walk me through it," Dimitri commanded.

"Breach time: 1400 hours," Giancarlo said, his voice absolutely steady. "We approach the warehouse from the north using the industrial district buildings for cover. Two-person team on overwatch from the adjacent warehouse roof. Main extraction team of four enters through the storage room on the ground level."

Nate continued: "Entry through the storage room is here," he said, pointing. "We’re using the override codes to access the basement door in ninety seconds. The door will trigger an alarm system, which gives us a twenty-second window before the alarm propagates to the main security console."

"Twenty seconds to get through the door and clear the basement corridor," Paolo said. "We move to the third room on the left, Eve’s location. We have the lock codes for her door. We enter, we extract her, we move her back to the extraction point."

"Total time on basement level two: approximately three minutes," Henry said. "From extraction point to the storage room exit: two minutes. Total operation time from breach to extraction complete: seven minutes."

"Once extracted?" Dimitri asked.

"Eve is moved to the vehicle staged outside the storage room entrance," Giancarlo said. "The overwatch team provides cover. We drive directly to the secure location we’ve identified in Manhattan. Medical evaluation en route if necessary. Complete operation time from breach to secured location: twenty minutes."

"What about Dante’s security response?" Dimitri asked.

"Mike’s team intercepts any responders," Paolo said. "We’ve identified secondary security locations within the warehouse. If Dante tries to send reinforcements, Mike’s defensive perimeter stops them before they reach the primary extraction zone."

"And Luca?" Dimitri asked. ℴ

"If he’s on basement level two, we note his position and report to you," Giancarlo said. "We use minimum necessary force to get past him if he’s in the extraction path. But Eve’s extraction is the priority. Everything else is secondary."

"Communication?" Dimitri asked.

"Real-time updates via encrypted frequency," Henry said. "Marco monitoring from the operations center. You and Mike coordinating defensive operations. We’ll have full situational awareness."

"Contingencies?" Dimitri asked.

"If the alarm triggers early, we accelerate the extraction," Nate said. "If Luca is present and tries to stop us, we use force proportional to the threat. If Eve is injured or unable to move, we carry her. If the extraction point is compromised, we use the alternate exit through the loading dock."

"What’s the alternate exit timeline?" Dimitri asked.

"If we have to use the loading dock, we’re looking at ten to twelve minutes instead of seven," Paolo said. "More exposure. More guards to deal with. But still viable."

Dimitri looked at each man individually, assessing their readiness.

"Alright," Dimitri said. "This is the operation. You execute it exactly as briefed. No improvisation beyond contingencies. No deviation from the primary objective. Eve comes out alive. That’s the only acceptable outcome."

"Understood," Giancarlo said.

Dimitri stood and looked out the window at the Manhattan skyline.

"Equipment check," Dimitri commanded. "Weapons. Communication devices. Extraction gear. Everything gets verified in the next thirty minutes."

"Already scheduled," Marco said.

"Then we have one hour before we move," Dimitri said.

POV: GIANCARLO

14:00 HOURS (2:00 PM)

The industrial district was quiet at this hour.

Most of the warehouses were either closed or operating on minimal staffing. The streets were empty. The afternoon sun cast long shadows between the buildings.

Perfect conditions for an extraction operation.

Giancarlo moved through the industrial district with his three-man team, using the buildings for cover, keeping to the shadows. They wore dark tactical gear that made them blend into the urban landscape. Each man carried the equipment they needed for the extraction: breaching tools, communication devices, weapons, extraction gear.

The warehouse loomed ahead...nondescript, industrial, exactly as the schematics had shown.

Giancarlo keyed his radio.

"Overwatch team, status," he said quietly.

"Overwatch one in position," Nate’s voice came through the encrypted frequency. "Roof access, northeast corner. Visual on the warehouse. All clear."

"Marco, status on perimeter," Giancarlo asked, speaking to the operations center.

"External cameras show no unusual activity," Marco replied from the operations center in Manhattan. "Guard positions are static. Security is expecting a quiet afternoon. Proceed with breach."

Giancarlo nodded to his team.

They moved forward, crossing the open ground between buildings, approaching the warehouse from the north side where visual coverage was weakest.

The storage room entrance was exactly where the schematics indicated, a side door with an electronic lock system.

Henry moved to the lock, pulling out the override device they’d been provided. He plugged it into the electronic panel.

Five seconds passed.

The lock clicked open.

"First barrier breached," Henry whispered into his radio.

They slipped inside the storage room.

Industrial shelving. Boxes. Equipment. Everything slightly dusty, suggesting the space wasn’t used frequently. Exactly as predicted.

The basement door was thirty meters ahead, at the far end of the storage room.

They moved in tactical formation: Giancarlo in lead, Paolo covering rear, Nate on their flank, Henry navigating the equipment layout.

No guards. No security. Just the sound of their breathing and the soft scrape of their boots on the concrete floor.

The basement door loomed ahead, reinforced steel, electronic lock, exactly as the schematics had shown.

Giancarlo keyed his radio.

"Approaching basement access point," he said. "Override codes ready?"
