The way he’s fighting, it’s different. He’s more aggressive and reckless, but it’s working for him. He’s making full use of the fact that he’s unkillable, willing taking hits to create openings.

It’s still rough around the edges, but it looks like he’s actively improving. The more he gets used to fighting like this, the better he’ll become.

I fired out a blast of Obliterate at seventy percent as he shot towards Aria, shooting through the middle of his body and bisecting him. But his legs continued running, the rest of his body regenerating rapidly.

As Aria unleashed a slashing wave of black flames at his legs, he summoned an undead Mutant to tank the hit, leaping over it as the attack sliced it in two, closing in on Aria as he finished regenerating.

Cleo fired out a sticky spiderweb net and snared him, before yanking him across and swinging him around the air. She then hurled him away with a yell of exertion, launching him across the air.

I shot towards him as he crashed onto the side of a building, before unleashing Obliterate at a hundred percent as I closed in, wiping out most of his body, only his feet remaining intact.

Aria fired out blazing blasts of crimson flames, hitting his feet as they plummeted and roasting them to ash. I then activated Void as he began to regenerate from scratch, swallowing up the mass of flesh before me.

Suddenly, dozens of undead Mid Level Mutants appeared and lunged at me, forcing me to back away. Cleo unleashed a volley of elemental blasts as Aria simultaneously blasted out a searing wave of crimson flames, the two of them wiping out the undead pack of Mutants before they could reach me.

As they exterminated the creatures, I shot forward through the air, grimacing as I spotted Leto, almost fully regenerated. I wiped out his head with a twenty percent blast of Obliterate and drove Desecrator towards his chest.

As my blade plunged into the middle of his chest, I violently jerked the handle down, dragging the blade down and splitting his torso open. I began to unleash Void again, before quickly leaping across as his Death Scythe came flying towards him from behind.

He caught it as it got within his grasp, before leaping off the building and landing back down, letting out a malicious chuckle.

"Oh, that’s right...I don’t have to fight you all by myself. I guess I miscalculated, most of my forces have been wiped out already. There aren’t enough left to do any further meaningful damage to this Sanctuary. In which case...," He smirked, before dozens of undead Mutants suddenly appeared all around him, rushing out towards us.

I sense about twenty or so Calamity Levels, a bit over thirty Criticals, and around a hundred High Levels. The three of us backed away while launching a flurry of projectile blasts, wiping out a handful of the undead swarm as we leapt onto the tops of the nearby buildings.

Not good, he must have summoned all his remaining forces here, he intends to use them to create more openings that he can exploit to kill us, which-...wait. If he’s summoned all of his forces here, then...

"Hahahaha! You’ve managed to avoid getting hit with any fatal blows so far, but let’s see how well you fare fending me off while also dealing with my forces! Sure, they might not strong enough to kill any of you, even collectively, but me being here changes that equation. Time to die!" Leto cackled gleefully.

"<Emerge, Apostles of Lust, Envy, Sloth, Pride, Wrath, Greed and Gluttony: Luxuria, Invidia, Acedia, Superbia, Ira, Avaratia and Gula>."

As the Apostles appeared before me, Invidia stepped back and activated Stealth, as they others shot forward and attacked at full intensity, rapidly cutting down the undead Mutants.

Cleo blasted a couple of Critical Level Threats away, before spinning around as Leto zipped across and slipped behind her. She quickly sprang back as he slashed at her with his scythe, wincing in pain as he sliced her stomach open, blood gushing out and streaming down her body.

I then exchanged a glance with Aria, before I shot towards Leto. As Aria shot down the undead Mutants that began to try and intercept me, a cocky smirk spread out across Leto’s lips as he saw me coming, turning this way and raising his Death Scythe.

Invidia, now.

As I closed in on Leto, I raised my left arm up as he swung his scythe down, the blade plunging into my forearm and piercing through, right as I whipped my blade across with a rapid snap of my wrist. I sliced through his right elbow, his arm falling off and hitting the rooftop along with his scythe in its grasp, a sharp clatter ringing out.

In the next instant, a look of horror appeared on his face, twisting into frantic panic...as his arm didn’t regenerate. As I fired out Obliterate, he stumbled across in his panic, inadvertently avoiding a direct hit, a few inches off his right side vanishing as the blast grazed him.

He desperately sprang back as I unleashed Void and generated a black hole, backing away from it as fast as he could as I expanded the dark mass. I deactivated it and began to chase after him as he got out of the range of its pulling force, when suddenly, all the remaining undead Mutants he’d summoned vanished, before promptly reappearing before me.

I took a couple of swift steps back as several of them lunged at me, whipping my right arm across as I fired out Obliterate at a hundred percent, wiping out most of them, just a handful of a the smaller ones and the ones that were flying avoiding the blast.

Hm? Damn it, there’s no sign of him, he ran. He used his remaining forces to give himself an opening to retreat...I can’t catch up to him, he’s definitely rushing away as fast as he can. I didn’t even see which way he went, and with all the rubble and dust around, searching blindly would be foolish.

Damn it...even if we did manage to prevent him from escaping, we still don’t know how we’re supposed to go about finishing him off...
