I raced away as Alkimia’s explosive projectiles came shooting towards me, several deafening blasts ringing out one after the other as I evaded them, the projectiles colliding against the nearby buildings.

Loud crashes echoed out as large chunks of rubble plummeted and slammed onto the ground, before I came to a skidding halt across the ground as the barrage suddenly ceased.

Hm? Where is she? Where did that little bitch go-...?

Suddenly, as an unpleasant smell surrounded me, I began to rush away, before the gas engulfing me ignited and erupted, blasting my body to pieces and sending me flying out all around the blast zone.

I clenched my fists in irritation as I regenerated from my head, my Death Scythe flying back into my grasp as I glanced around...even if I had gotten some new clothes, she would’ve destroyed them to shreds with that last attack.

Well, this dark energy swirling around me is thick enough that you can’t really see anything, but, well...it’s still more than a little uncomfortable to be running around fully naked.

Suddenly, my skin got torn to ribbons as countless shards of glass surrounded me and zipped around rapidly, slicing across my skin relentlessly.

I whipped my Death Scythe around with a frustrated snarl, striking several of the shards and shattering them. The shards then moved away from me, rapidly flying away and ducking behind a pile of rubble.

Hm? Wait, whenever she transforms into one of those substances or chemicals, she doesn’t attack for long. I mean, her diamond form is durable enough to tank a hit from my Death Scythe, why not just stay in that form the whole time?

"Now I get it, you’ve got a time limit with how long you can transform your body, don’t you? And a cooldown period too," I surmised with a smirk, right as a vicious spray of acid came shooting out towards me from behind the pile of rubble.

I let it hit me, my skin rapidly melting away as the acid ate through me...alright, the moment this acid starts to flow away, I’ll chase after it and kill her the instant she reverts back to-...huh?

My eyes widened as the spray of acid petered out and splattered across the ground, sharp hisses ringing out as the acid ate through the concrete, right as I suddenly got pulled off my feet as something pierced through my back, branching out inside my torso and bursting out my chest.

"Yeah, that’s right, I do have a time limit and cooldown with transforming my body. But if you can’t tell the difference between a substance I’ve launched as an attack and a substance that I’ve transformed into, it doesn’t really matter, does it?" She remarked, as she violently ripped my torso open.

"D-Damn it, you little b-...!" I began, before she suddenly fired out a concentrated jet of acid, engulfing my head and melting everything above my neck in a matter of seconds.

She then swung her arm across and hurled my body away as she detached the branched out mass of diamond from her hand. As I slammed against a lamppost with a sharp clang, my head regenerated as I tore my torso open and pulled the diamond branches out of me.

Tch, she’s keeping out of sight again, I can’t see any sign of her anywhere. Would’ve been nice if I had some kind of sensory ability...should I summon a few of my undead forces to help me find her?

No, I’m getting too impatient, it shouldn’t be too much longer before she runs out of time with this power boost. Once that happens, she’ll be helpless, completely and utterly at my mercy.

I just need to tank a few more hits, which is absolutely no problem since I can regenerate from anything. What’ll her next move be? Diamond again? Maybe acid? Glass? Explosive gas?

Hm? Wait...why isn’t she attacking? Is she waiting for an opening? With all the dust that has been kicked up, visibility is pretty low, finding an opening should be easy...come on, any second now...

That little bitch, she ran away, didn’t she?! Damn it! She must have been nearing her time limit and decided to leave before it ran out! I swear, the next time I see her, I’ll-...!

My train of thought was cut off as several explosions erupted above me, startling me. I stumbled a bit as multiple shockwaves hit me, knocking me off-balance as I turned my gaze up with a grimace.

She’s still nearby, but I didn’t see which direction those explosions came shooting from. She must be trying to alert the X-Aces to my location, but-...what?!

I gritted my teeth in anger and frustration as I sensed the presences of all of my Catastrophe Level Threats disappear, one after the other within a span of about ten seconds. N-No...no way, they’ve all been defeated? How-...?!

Suddenly, I collapsed onto my knees as a devastating blast of force hit me from above, splitting my skull open. I shakily began to lift my gaze as my head started to close back up, right as I spotted a rapid blur in my peripheral, zipping in with immense speed.

Before I could react, it struck the side of my neck and sliced right through, decapitating me. As my head hit the ground with a thud and rolled away, my body rose back up as I grew a new head, before leaping across as a powerful blast of force came shooting down towards me, hitting the ground with a crushing impact.

Deep cracks spread out as a cloud of dust rose up, bits of concentrate flying out around the point of impact.

"Man, what a waste of all that power. At your level, you really should be able to react to anything I throw at you."

"Tch, Jaden Xeno...alright, then, you’ll be the first of the X-Aces to die at my hand," I uttered with a growl.

He looks strange, there’s this translucent glow to his body...must be that Spirit Fusion thing. Wait, his Aura, something is...off about it.

"Yeah, good luck with that," He responded, my eyes widening in shock as I cast Appraisal on him.

H-How...how is this possible? H-His current Power Level, it’s...it’s infinite!
