It wasn’t just an illusion alone that caused Alidus to lose in the end.

That was all that he could say before he suddenly fell forward.

When he landed on the ground, his eyes were closed and he was actually snoring.

It wasn’t that he had been hit by anything that had knocked him out like this, it was almost as if he had naturally fallen asleep. It was as if there was something that had convinced him to fall asleep like this.

From beginning to end, the crowd didn’t even know what had happened.

The only thing that they saw was Alidus take a step forward before falling down like this.

They hadn’t even seen him swinging his club.

But as they watched this, there were strange looks that appeared on their faces. All of these strange looks were directed at the saintess.

The saintess had a relic that was already considered common knowledge, so that was why everyone was confused about what had happened.

The relic that the saintess should have possessed was one that buffed the ones that it was used on. She used this to buff herself to fight against all of the relic users that she had faced in this tournament.

But now, it seemed like she had used something else.

This was something that had a completely different effect from the relic that she normally used.

It was the reason why there were those that couldn’t help wondering if she had cheated in some way.

This was a tournament that was meant to show off the strength of the relic users and find the strongest among them, which was why it was part of the rules that one had to fight with divine energy relics.

Since this wasn’t the power of her divine energy relic, there were those that thought that she had used something else.

In particular, this seemed like magic that she had used.

Many in the crowd looked at the referee as if they were waiting for them to make a decision. However, it didn’t seem like the referee was about to say anything about what the saintess had just done.

In fact, it seemed like the referee already considered the match over with the expression on their face.

But when there was no one from the official side that said anything after the referee made this announcement, they slowly realized that this might actually be the case.

It was just that if this really was as the referee had announced it...

They had already seen the power of the relic that the saintess possessed. It wasn’t as if this relic would suddenly gain a new power, that wasn’t how relics worked.

In that case, it would mean that the saintess...had another relic.

In most cases, relic users only possessed a single relic. There was only one anomaly that broke this rule, but everyone chose to ignore that.

If the saintess really had more than one relic, then it only made sense that she would be the strongest relic user.

At the same time, it really was a testament to the power of the Holy Empire.

The only ones that spoke were those from the empires and the other races. When it came to those smaller countries, none of them said anything.

Though I had a calm look on my face when I saw them like this, there was this pleased feeling that filled me.

The first step had been to put pressure on them so that they would rein themselves in.

The second step was to crush their spirits so that they wouldn’t be able to do anything like this so rashly in the future.

Everything had been done for the sake of the future. Everything had been done so that we would be able to properly face the forces of Destruction in the future.

The other thing that had been established was the hierarchy within the racial alliance.

At some point, the smaller countries had changed the way that they felt about the human empires.

They were still scared of them because of the power that they possessed, but that had slowly faded after they saw the tournament.

In particular, the Holy Empire had really driven home how powerful they were when it came to matters of relics.

With the way that the Holy Empire treated the other two empires, they also knew that they couldn’t look down on them either.

However, the one thing that they were certain of was that they couldn’t mess with the Holy Empire anymore.

The saintess alone was terrifying enough and there was no telling what else the popes were hiding.

With everyone like this, I felt like it was time to discuss something else.

It was something that we needed to discuss since it would become a serious matter later when we fought the forces of Destruction.
