Chapter 2455: Exploring the cultivation realm (2)

I was inside of a cave, but this wasn’t just any normal cave.

This was a cave that was hidden by an array and the cave itself wasn’t the only thing that was hidden.

In the center of the cave was a large manor that even seemed to be glowing.

No matter how one looked at it, this really seemed like a manor that belonged to an immortal. This was the kind of manor that seemed to be hiding all kinds of treasures in it.

However, I didn’t head towards the manor itself.

"Now, where is it?" I walked around a rock that was outside of the manor, looking around as if I was looking for something specific. It was just that from the view of an outsider, it didn’t seem like there was anything here.

Even if it was another cultivator that was here, they wouldn’t have found anything.

But in the end, I found what I was looking for.

"Click."

As soon as I pressed it, there was this piece of the rock that suddenly sank in and entered the main part of the rock. There was this hole that was left behind, but that wasn’t the main thing.

From the inside of the rock, one could hear the sounds of mechanisms turning.

After a while, the rock itself sank into the ground and revealed a set of stairs leading downwards.

Without any hesitation, I started taking these stairs that led deep into the ground.

The stairs themselves weren’t that long, but it didn’t lead me to a destination right away. Instead, it brought me to a room that led out into a corridor.

If one didn’t lose their sense of direction from the winding stairs, they would be able to tell that this corridor was leading in the direction of the manor.

Once again, I didn’t hesitate to enter this corridor. However, I did stop when I came to the end of the corridor.

There was a door that blocked me from going any further, but it wasn’t as if the door itself was locked. Just a single push would be enough to open this door and go through it, but I didn’t do that.

Standing in front of the door, I suddenly turned to the right to stare at the wall.

Other than staring at the wall, I also looked at the door from the corner of my eye.

"Judging by the angle, it should be in this direction."

After confirming it, that was when I turned around and started moving away from the door. But I didn’t go that far, I just took a few steps before reaching out towards the wall in front of me.

Once again, there was a secret button that was pressed.

After this secret button was pressed, the door opened all on its own.

"This door really is quite the ruthless trap." 𝑓𝑟ℯℴ𝓂

It was a second trap that had been placed here to catch people off guard.

After all, those that came to this place would think that they were safe since this was a secret passage. It was supposed to be a shortcut that would allow them to skip the traps of the main entrance.

They never would have thought that there would be another trap here still.

It was made to catch people off guard when they thought that they had succeeded, which was why it was such a ruthless trap.

Whoever had designed this place really knew people well.

Though when it came to me, this didn’t matter at all.

Since I had played the game that this world was based on, I already knew all of the tricks of this manor.

"They really have some strange tastes." I couldn’t help muttering this while shaking my head when I walked through the door.

This place was part of the manor and that was why there were these maids that were walking around. But these maids weren’t actually people, they were puppets that were dressed in maid outfits.

However, it wasn’t as if these maids were weak.

If I wasn’t careful and triggered them, then it would be quite a pain to deal with them.

But it wasn’t as if that would happen since I knew exactly where the trigger mechanisms for these puppets were. This was a place that I had cleared when this world was still a game, so I knew everything about this place.

"I have to admit that the one that created this place really is quite skilled."

Looking at the maids, I could see just how well made their figures were.

In fact, it even seemed like the one that had created these maid puppets had put extra effort into making sure that their figures were perfect. It seems like he was quite the man of culture with how accurate it was.

"But if he could make puppets that were this accurate, then would he have even been interested in actual women?" That was the question that had to be asked since there were those people that were interested in these kinds of things...

I tossed that thought out of my mind in the end since it wasn’t as if the creator of these puppets was even still alive.

This place was the legacy that was left behind by that creator, or that was how it was portrayed in the game. Since it was now real, it should have the same setting as in the game.

The only thing that mattered was retrieving the three items that I wanted from this place.

After walking through this corridor for a bit, I arrived at the room with the first treasure.

But once again, I didn’t open it right away as I turned back and grabbed a candle that was on the wall.

Without hesitation, I pulled the candle holder and that was when the door opened.

The creator of this place didn’t hold back at all when it came to placing traps, it was almost as if they were harassing the ones that came on purpose.
