Chapter 1303: Chapter 631: Demon Venerable Taoist Ancestor (2)
And the core bodies of these Demon Lords were all extremely huge and sturdy; clearly they had also been refined and modified with Secret Techniques, using some abnormally thick vertebral Demon Bones as the base, then, like arranging flowers, heads were stuck onto the spine, linked together through nerves and blood vessels. Their hands and feet hung down like branches from a flower vase, the main heads like bright flower buds, while the brain lobes and fleshy wings flared like flaunting petals.
And to be fair, although it looked a bit deranged and disgusting, these people were actually pieced together in a way that kind of followed the laws of nature, not just randomly mashed up. For example, pairs of two clearly formed Daoist companions for Dual Cultivation, groups of five subtly matched the Five Qi, and there were many other combinations like seven stars, Eight Gates, Nine Luminaries, etc.
Tie Dan had always been quite fond of the three-head design. Putting himself in their place, if he could have a few more heads helping with Qi Manipulation and Body Control, he wouldn’t have ended up trapped in the embarrassing state of being possessed by demon. Even if he didn’t get any buffs out of it, he could at least see in six directions and hear in eight, four fists against an enemy’s two hands—more people bullying fewer people—honestly, it was incredibly convenient...
"That’s the damned beast! Didn’t say a single word, just came up and launched a Primordial Spirit attack, killed us and then chased us over here to smash our place!"
"Everyone be careful! This fiend is insanely strong! The Magic Light Killing Cannon is useless against him! I’m afraid he’s already someone in the Body Integration Realm!"
"Huh! We barely have a few in the Refining God Period, and now a Body Integration Realm shows up! You gotta be joking!"
"If he’s not in Body Integration, then where the hell do you think he came from?!"
"Uh, some wild mob born and bred here?"
"Since when does Yinghuo have anything born and bred like that?!"
The Demon Heads were squabbling noisily, spinning madly in place along their spine axis like a revolving lantern, because every single head wanted to twist around to get a look at Tie Dan.
Tie Dan disliked noise, and hated pointless chatter even more. One sweep of his eyes told him these giant Demon Lords were all condensing Dao Power, gathering Thunder Light, and flipping their palms to pull out various blades, spears, axes, and swords forged from company warships out of Skin Sacks and other Space Treasures, clearly preparing to make a move. He didn’t waste breath; striking first to gain the upper hand, he performed a Netherworld Spring frame-drop flicker, tunneling straight in front of the largest bouquet-like Demon God, coldly fixing his gaze on the nine Demon Heads before him, and flicked out a hand knife.
"Ah!" *N
This bunch of Demon Heads looked arrogant as hell, but their combat experience was scrub-tier to the point of scratching their feet. They had no time to react at all before being sent flying and beheaded by a single chop, skulls split open, brain lobes flapping as they scattered like a swarm of startled midges and gnats, flitting toward other Demon Lords’ cervical spines nearby, begging to be plugged in.
Tie Dan didn’t bother with total annihilation; he let those skulls with barely two taels of decent meat fly off, directly splitting open the tusked giant maw on his chest and swallowing the headless Demon God body in one gulp. "Crunch crunch crackle crunch," tendons, skin, bones, and flesh were all devoured clean.
"The beast’s gone berserk!" "Fire! Hurry, fire!" "Roooar—"
The Demon Heads scattered in a panic; one head focused solely on running for its life, one head spewed fire from mouth and nose, eyes shooting out Divine Light as it fired colorful plasma Demon Light cannons straight at Tie Dan. The remaining heads cracked jokes, swung their treasures around, and chattered while watching the show.
"Told you the Magic Light Killing Cannon doesn’t work!"
"Even if it doesn’t, we still gotta shoot! You want to just let him eat us?!"
"This guy isn’t something a mere Demon God General can handle!"
"Then why aren’t you going to invite the Taoist Ancestor yet?!"
"Hurry hurry hurry! He’s gonna eat us all!"
At this moment Tie Dan was like a hornet diving into a swarm of bees. He didn’t even bother using sword energy; with casual elbow strikes and hand chops he hacked down Demon Heads, ripped their limbs and bodies into chunks, and stuffed them straight into his stomach.
Those Demon Lords actually were resisting with all their might, swinging iron fists and pounding away—bang bang—at their own chests; but hitting Tie Dan’s body, covered in tough scales, was like hammering iron, not leaving a single mark. Instead their own limbs were beaten until skin split and flesh burst, shattered to pulp by the Gang Power.
And the Demon Lords couldn’t even run; the Demon Nest was right behind them, and besides, they simply couldn’t escape Tie Dan’s tunneling range. Whoever tried to pull away with an escape light would find that the moment they landed, they’d drop straight into that tusked iron maw.
After being chopped into pieces, the battered Demon Heads had no choice but to flap their fleshy winged brain lobes, squawking as they flew into the nest to change Equipment.
Tie Dan ignored those heads entirely, focusing instead on the torsos of the four Great Demon Gods, eating them from top to bottom, leaving nothing behind—he even crunched their bones to bits.
Well, Tie Dan really was starving. Yinghuo Star was rich in resources, but they were mostly mineral; the only source of organics came from the company’s maggot protein farms.
But the company’s world had already been shut behind the door, and the remnants left in the Solar System—once they saw the local native go berserk and even blow up the General Manager’s office Titan—naturally didn’t dare linger here any longer, and had already fled beyond the Solar System.
So these Mars farms were only maintained in a minimal standby state, just enough to keep the cultures in the breeding pools alive. Maggot output was extremely low; if Tie Dan wanted to replenish a bit of protein, he’d have to circle Mars once.
Now, however, these Demon Mountains and Demon Gods provided top-tier protein—delicious, with a fresh mutton-like flavor, and packed with abundant Spirit Breath Dao Qi, their nutritional value far surpassing the Demon Gods native to Taiji.
And it wasn’t just these Demon Lords; those Flying Heavenly Horses were edible too. Compared to the Multi-headed Demon Gods, their skin was a bit tough, the taste a bit strong, and the meat a bit stringy—but it was still way better than chewing on mud.
So after he finished off the Demon Lords, Tie Dan took out the Flying Heavenly Horses one punch at a time, blowing them apart and dragging them over by their guts to gnaw on.
A bunch of Demon Heads crouched on the rock wall watching him, exchanging thoughts via Divine Sense, whispering among themselves,
"Why does he stuff literally everything into his mouth..."
"Guy must be starving, right?"
"He’s not gonna eat our home empty, is he?"
"Look at what you lot brought back!"
"I mean, Star Picking Temple never said there was anything like this on Yinghuo Star!"
