Chapter 1302 - 631: Demon
Chapter 1302: Chapter 631: Demon
The male one, although only a bit more than a quarter of his body was left, refused to back down. With a whoosh, from the bloody rift along his spine suddenly burst out eight pairs of cockroach-like wings, slapping and buzzing, speed shooting up with a swish, sandpaper-rustling straight into Tie Dan’s face!
His hands were bursting with violet lightning and azure thunder, flashing nonstop! They turned into a pair of plasma ghost claws, grabbing straight for Tie Dan’s face! For a moment he was as fast as lightning, ferocious as hell, terrifying to the extreme!
But Tie Dan had been a dangerous local wild beast mixing around here for five hundred years, after all. How could he not know that these outer Demons smuggling themselves over from the Other Shore were all Supremes of their own worlds, with insanely long HP bars, ridiculously hard to kill and tough as hell.
He immediately got fully ready, using Qi Manipulation as sword, parrying from both sides. But after blocking just twice he realized these ghost hands weren’t anything special. Spotting a Weakness, he instantly counter-killed with one sword, chopping out with a hand-knife, beheading him on the spot, sending that male head flying... What, that’s it?
Seeing he was hard to deal with, the male one hurriedly unleashed all his power, flung himself up and self-detonated, spraying out all his yellow-green bodily fluids, splashing Tie Dan all over and gluing him solidly to the ground.
"Ah! So fierce! Your sword skills are insanely good! I can’t beat you at all!"
The male head was roaring while hastily splitting open his skull, sprouting a pair of cockroach wings, flying off as a Flying Head while still loudly giving compliments.
"You lost in just two moves! You’re really disgracing the Mountain Master! Can’t even beat a stray mutt! What the hell are you good for!"
The female, seeing her partner couldn’t last even three moves, knew Tie Dan was trouble. She couldn’t be bothered to fully grow out her lower body. She grabbed her white, glistening Blood Intestines in her hands, let that Flying Head land on her back and parasitize into the bloody opening, then "crackle crackle," hurriedly turned into a streak of Thunder Light and fled toward the sky.
Tie Dan wasn’t in a rush; he let them run for the time of a finger snap, then whooshed up from the ground, turning into a Sword Rainbow to chase them, actually launching later yet arriving first, landing right in front of them.
"Holy shit! Comes like lightning! Goes like light! This guy’s a serious pain in the ass! Babe, run! I’ll fight him! Wham!"
The male head roared, opening his mouth to spit out a beam of Demon Light! It boomed into Tie Dan’s chest!
Yet Tie Dan didn’t even try to dodge, letting that clump of Demon Light explode right on his chest. Not even a single scale on his body cracked.
The female saw this and knew things were bad, so she quickly bowed her head and begged for mercy,
"Lord, calm your anger! Supreme, spare our lives! It’s we husband and wife who were blind and offended our senior!
We are Disciples of Void Moon Demon Mountain, please, on account of the Daluo Temple Master..."
"Bang!"
Then, with a frame-drop-like flicker and shift, Tie Dan had already torn off those male and female twin heads, clutched them in his hand, casually tossed them aside, then split open the fanged maw on his chest and swallowed the bodies of this pair of outer Female and Male Demon Venerable.
"Many thanks, senior, for sparing our lives!"
"You’re still thanking him!"
"What, you want to ask him how we taste or something! Move it! Stop embarrassing us!"
The two human heads bickered noisily, spreading their wings, flutter flutter, flying straight off toward the horizon. Tie Dan didn’t wipe them out completely; chewing on the Demon God in his mouth, he coldly watched the Flying Heads recede into the distance.
This pair of small fry said they came from the moon; they were pretty chewy to eat, but from the taste they clearly hadn’t reached the Refining God and Returning to Void Realm yet. On their own they could never have flown across the Void; there had to be a ship nearby.
Tie Dan immediately tailed the Flying Heads from afar, and soon found that so-called Daoist field of Void Moon Demon Mountain.
They called it a starship, but from afar it looked more like a hornet’s nest. Looking closely, it really did seem like they’d jammed several small asteroids together, glued and wrapped them with Heavenly and Earthly Treasures like Earth Spring soil-breath, ice, mud and such, transforming an entire meteorite rock into a Demon Cave nest and using it directly as a ship to cross the Void.
Right now this Demon Mountain’s Demon Cave ship was still lingering in near orbit around Yinghuo Star, seemingly becoming one of Yinghuo’s moons. And inside the Demon Cave, the walls were like some kind of coelenterate flesh, like a nest loaded with countless egg capsules. These egg capsules were growing and hatching one after another, breeding and hatching a huge number of bizarrely-shaped giants that floated out of the nest.
Those giants looked from afar like massive flying dead hippos, splitting open from an abdominal cavity, trailing dozens of Blood Intestines and flesh tentacles. Up close they looked more like some bloated jellyfish, each umbrella-shaped flesh body at least twenty zhang, the larger ones stretching up to fifty zhang, sprouting countless tentacle-like finger sacs and gland pouches—indescribable appendage braids—off their spindle-folded flesh walls.
This swarm of giant jellyfish monsters acted like shuttles or cargo transports, piercing through the atmosphere, descending to Yinghuo Star, using their tentacles to brace and coil around the surface, spewing vast amounts of violet-black viscous juice and meat paste. Once they’d emptied their bodily fluids, they crashed dead to the ground like a whale fall, turning into mats and seedbeds rich in organic matter and microorganisms, slowly rotting across the land, releasing thick marsh gas that stank of decay, shrouding the earth in a dense violet-black fog.
It was obvious that the Demon Mountain crowd were using these Demons as offerings, reshaping the natural environment, trying to Refining Yinghuo Star Sky into a "homeland" of that Other Shore.
Tie Dan watched from the side for a while. The Demon Mountain crowd over there also sensed something and immediately emerged from the Demon Cave—four Demon Gods... or should it be said dozens of Demon Gods?
Indeed, this Demon Mountain Magic Gate had quite the unique style. At a glance you could tell it was clearly several people Cultivating stuck together, as few as two or three heads, as many as eight or nine, several heads crammed onto one body, sharing a single torso for Cultivation. For example, that male and female pair he’d just met had now flown their heads over to another two-headed Demon God’s body for grafting, turning it into a four-headed Demon Venerable.
