Erin Irving shot him a cold glare, willing him to shut his mouth.

’Elliot Sheridan didn’t pull his punches. Almost every blow landed on a vital spot. If it had been anyone else, they probably would have been knocked unconscious by those punches long ago.’

’It seemed he’d made the right move. At the very least, this distant brother of his was very important to him.’

Meanwhile, Elliot Sheridan, who had left in a hurry, called Aidan Sheridan, but the phone on the other end was off.

He then dialed Georgia Thorne. At that moment, Georgia was sitting anxiously in her room, wondering how Elliot’s meeting with Erin Irving had gone.

Her anxiety mounted. Just then, the phone she had set aside began to ring.

She jumped up from the sofa and answered the phone. "Where are you?"

Elliot gasped for breath, the spot on his abdomen where Erin Irving had hit him throbbing with pain. "Put Aidan on."

"Aidan? What’s wrong?"

Georgia could tell his tone wasn’t normal, and she asked worriedly as she walked towards Aidan’s room.

"Aidan’s not in his room. Hang on, I’ll go check downstairs."

Georgia was rushing. Elliot heard the THUMP-THUMP-THUMP of her footsteps on the stairs and said with concern, "Slow down."

She searched the entire house, then ran outside to look for Aidan. Georgia checked all his favorite spots, but he was nowhere to be seen.

"Looks like he’s not home. Did something happen?"

"Yeah. I’m afraid this is a little tricky." Elliot looked up at Sam Yates, signaling him to drive.

"What happened? You went to see Erin Irving today—what did you two talk about?!" Georgia was dying to know what they had discussed.

"Aidan has always been protective of Quentin Chase and was convinced that child was mine. Erin Irving told him the truth. I’m afraid he couldn’t handle the shock..."

Elliot didn’t have to say the rest. Georgia could guess.

Aidan had been in a coma for years, after all. His body had matured, but that didn’t mean his mind had.

’He’s still a child, prone to fits. After learning something this huge, he would definitely run off to find Quentin Chase.’

’And Quentin Chase didn’t even know about the child...’

Things were definitely a mess. Georgia said in a soothing voice, "You should hurry and find Aidan. Just... be safe."

"Mm."

Elliot grunted an affirmative and hung up.

He closed his eyes, taking a deep, heavy breath, but the tightness in his chest only grew worse.

He opened his sharp, dark eyes and cursed under his breath.

Quentin Chase was still living in the same place with the child.

When Elliot arrived at the apartment, he found it empty.

The place was a total mess, as if it had been ransacked.

’Damn it. I’m too late.’

He called Dylan Heston. When it came to finding people, Dylan was the best.

Over the phone, Dylan Heston assured him that’s what brothers were for and immediately sent his men to find Aidan and Quentin.

While Dylan’s men began the search, Elliot didn’t sit idle. He went straight to find William.

As a doctor and someone who knew the situation, William might have some information.

However, William had just finished a surgery that lasted more than ten hours and was utterly exhausted.

Hearing that Quentin Chase was missing, he rushed out without even changing out of his surgical gown. "What the hell is going on?!"

Elliot’s head throbbed. He couldn’t get through to either Quentin’s or Aidan’s phone, there was no word from Dylan’s men, and for the time being, no one had any idea where they were.

The only thing they could do now was wait.

「The Sheridan Residence.」

After Georgia hung up, she couldn’t shake the feeling of unease.

She asked the guard at the gate, who confirmed he had seen Aidan leave.

He had been in a great hurry, though, and hadn’t said where he was going.

Back inside the house, Sharon Ennis called out to her several times, but Georgia didn’t answer.

Seeing her troubled expression, Sharon walked over and tapped her shoulder, making Georgia jump.

"Mom, did you need something?"

"What’s wrong, dear? You seem to have a lot on your mind," Sharon Ennis murmured, puzzled.

Georgia wasn’t good at lying. Feeling as though her worries had been seen through, she gave an awkward laugh. "Do I?"

Georgia poured herself a glass of water, her fingers trembling so badly that the glass slipped from her grasp. Hot water spilled onto the back of her hand, turning it red instantly.

"And you said nothing’s wrong! Look at you, you can’t even pour a glass of water without dropping it!"

Seeing the red splotch on the back of her hand, Sharon immediately grabbed her hand, led her to the kitchen, and put it under the faucet. "What is going on? You clearly have something on your mind!"

"I don’t!" Georgia denied instinctively. The GUSHING of the water filled her ears, drowning out Sharon’s voice.
