The first thing he did was send his men to find Joanne Donovan’s whereabouts. When he learned she was in a filthy place like that, he cursed under his breath.

’This woman really has a talent for causing trouble.’

’She just got back to the country and already dares to go to a place like that!’

He immediately rushed over to the location.

At the same time Erin Irving set out, Ethan Fletcher called Dylan Heston. "He’s on his way. The rest is up to you!"

"Got it!"

Dylan Heston hung up and glanced toward a dim corner. He shot a look at the woman beside him. "You know what to do?"

The woman nodded and walked over with a glass of wine.

This kind of place was a playground for the rich.

Joanne Donovan had partied hard at similar venues abroad, so she was even more unrestrained back home.

She had barely sat down before several men came over to hit on her.

A woman’s confidence is built on the attention of such men.

Unfortunately, the one she wanted never took the bait.

Smiling, she turned down all the men who approached her. Then she saw her old friend. "What took you so long in the restroom?"

This "old friend" was the very woman Dylan Heston had just sent over.

Joanne Donovan and Cherry Sherman had known each other for a few years. They hadn’t been close before, but after a chance encounter during a trip abroad, an unexpected conversation made them seem to hit it off immediately.

Joanne had only told Cherry about her return to the country.

To celebrate her return, Cherry Sherman had specially brought her to this "wonderful place."

Cherry Sherman casually handed her the drink in her hand. "What, no man yet?"

"I was waiting for you!" Joanne Donovan took the glass and clinked it against hers.

Cherry Sherman took a sip, watching Joanne Donovan out of the corner of her eye. Only when Joanne downed the entire drink in one hearty gulp did a smile appear on Cherry’s face.

"I just remembered I have something to do. Want to head back with me?"

"No, you go ahead. I’ll stay a little longer!" Joanne Donovan’s gaze roamed wantonly around the room. She leaned close to Cherry Sherman’s ear. "I’m going to hunt for some prey."

Cherry Sherman shared a knowing smile with her. "Alright then. Hope you have a fun night!"

After leaving, Cherry Sherman went straight to Dylan Heston. "It’s done!"

Dylan Heston glanced at her. "You can go home now."

Cherry Sherman didn’t want to leave. She gazed at Dylan Heston’s profile, looking like she wanted to say something but holding her tongue.

"What, is there something else?"

"No!" Cherry Sherman denied it.

The trap was set. Now it was time to watch the show.

Cherry Sherman looked back every few steps, her reluctance to leave Dylan Heston obvious to anyone.

It wasn’t that he didn’t see it; he was just cruel enough to pretend he didn’t.

Joanne Donovan had drunk the drugged wine, but before the effects could kick in, Erin Irving arrived in person.

Seeing Joanne Donovan flirting with a group of men, he sneered, shooed the others away, and dragged her off.

The men here were just looking for a one-night stand; no one wanted trouble. Besides, they recognized Erin Irving and tactfully made their exit.

Erin Irving dragged Joanne Donovan all the way outside. "What are you doing? Let go of me!"

Joanne Donovan was already tipsy. Normally she was wary of Erin Irving, but now, with the alcohol rushing to her head, she forgot everything.

She bit down on the back of Erin Irving’s hand. "Let me go!"

When she released her bite, two neat rows of teeth marks remained. Erin Irving forcibly shoved her into the car, cursing, "You lunatic!"

Pushed so forcefully, Joanne Donovan tumbled onto the back seat. Her hair fell messily over her face, making her look like a genuine lunatic.

She sat up straight, crossed her legs, and smoothed down her clothes with one hand, looking at Erin Irving mockingly. "If I’m a lunatic, what does that make you?"

Her answer was the sound of a door slamming shut. Erin Irving got in the driver’s seat and drove away.

What Dylan Heston had put in that drink was no ordinary substance. It was fast-acting, extremely potent, and, most importantly, undetectable.

Even if someone noticed something was wrong later, the trail wouldn’t lead back to them.

On the way back, Joanne Donovan started to feel a burning heat in her body. The car’s air conditioning felt like it wasn’t even on.

’It must have been those disgusting men. They wanted me, so they drugged my drink.’

By the time she realized it, it was too late.

The man driving in front didn’t notice her strange behavior. Or rather, he hadn’t paid any attention to her at all.

He drove to the hotel where Joanne Donovan was staying and stopped the car at the entrance. "Get out!"

Erin Irving waited for a long time, but the woman in the back didn’t react.

Thinking she was trying to pull some trick, he turned his head impatiently, only to be met with a rather tantalizing scene.

Joanne Donovan had stripped herself completely naked. Her clothes lay on the floor of the car, while her upper body was leaning against the leather seat, and she was letting out a stream of lewd moans.

"Joanne Donovan, my patience is limited. Get out of the car now!" Seeing her like this, Erin Irving felt no arousal, only disgust.

East King didn’t hear Erin Irving’s words at all, completely lost in her own fantasy.

After a few seconds, Erin Irving finally noticed something was wrong with Joanne Donovan.

’She doesn’t look like she’s faking it.’

There was no way Joanne Donovan could get out on her own like this. He took off his suit jacket, covered her with it, and carried her out of the car.

The next morning, another piece of news about Erin Irving broke.

This time, however, it wasn’t about his career, but his private life.

"City’s New Magnate Erin Irving Visits High-End Club During the Day, Spends Night in Hotel with Mystery Woman."

As soon as a headline like this was released, it immediately grabbed everyone’s attention.

People had grown bored of the recent news about Erin Irving’s meteoric rise. A rare bit of gossip like this instantly sparked widespread discussion.

Logically speaking, Erin Irving’s influence in the city was extraordinary. No news outlet should have been foolish enough to provoke him by reporting such explosive news.

Just the mention of him visiting a high-end club was enough to generate plenty of negative press for Erin Irving.

The fact that they dared to offend Erin Irving meant that someone was backing this newspaper.

And this backer was, one hundred percent, an enemy of Erin Irving.

Erin Irving had just secured a government-approved project. He needed a good reputation, not negative press.

At that moment, Erin Irving had just finished a meeting and was walking out of the conference room.

When his secretary showed him the news, Erin Irving was so angry he smashed something. "Suppress this immediately!"

The secretary replied, "We’re already trying to, but..."

Erin Irving furiously snatched a file from the desk and threw it at his secretary’s head. "But what? Am I the boss, or are you? How dare you defy my orders!"
