’Here comes the real question.’ Georgia Thorne took a deep breath and feigned a relaxed tone. "Yeah, why do you ask?"

"Sylvie hasn’t been answering my calls since last night. I went to her place, but she wasn’t home. Can you get in touch with her?"

Georgia, "..."

’His grave expression all morning was just because of this?’

"Sylvie’s out of town on a business trip for two days. She probably doesn’t have her phone on her, so it’s normal for her to not pick up," Georgia Thorne explained.

"Is that so?" Felix Sinclair asked suspiciously. "But we’ve known each other for so long, and she’s never not answered my calls before. Something must have happened!"

His voice was full of worry for Sylvie. ’I was probably overthinking things.’

"Don’t worry, I’m sure it’s nothing. She’ll be back from her trip in two days."

"Miss Thorne, where did you send Sylvie for her business trip? Can you tell me the address? I want to go see her!"

"Just the neighboring city. There’s a client over there I asked Sylvie to visit. Felix, you don’t need to go."

At Felix Sinclair’s insistence, Georgia Thorne reluctantly gave him an address.

Felix Sinclair even took a half-day off for this, quickly packing his things and rushing out.

Georgia Thorne stood upstairs, watching Felix Sinclair’s retreating figure as she hurriedly called Sylvie.

When Sylvie answered the phone, she wanted to cry but had no tears. What client was there to meet in the neighboring city?

In the studio, Luther was playing a game on his computer, wearing headphones.

Georgia Thorne walked over, tapped the corner of his desk, and cleared her throat. "Come out with me this afternoon."

With his headphones on, Luther looked at her blankly. Georgia pulled them right off his head. "You’re coming out with me this afternoon."

’It’s clear that Felix Sinclair is genuinely worried about Sylvie. He can’t be the so-called mole.’

’If it’s not him, then the only one left is Luther.’

Luther gave her an OK sign, closed his game, and smiled innocently. "Right, who are we meeting this afternoon?"

"You’ll know when we get there," Georgia Thorne said, her face expressionless.

The person they were meeting this afternoon was none other than Erin Irving.

Earlier, Erin Irving had called to ask if she was free to meet in the afternoon.

Georgia Thorne had originally planned to bring Felix Sinclair, but now that he was ruled out, that left only Luther.

After what happened yesterday, Erin Irving was already eager to see her today. What a coincidence.

At one in the afternoon, they arrived at the location Erin Irving had arranged.

It was a quiet and elegant Japanese-style club.

As soon as they entered, they were greeted by a subtle, fragrant aroma. Luther walked beside her curiously, making small talk with Georgia Thorne.

Led by a hostess, they slid open a Japanese-style door and saw two men sitting opposite each other.

One was formally dressed in a suit, while the other was in casual attire.

Justin Sullivan’s face was grim. His long fingers seemed to be holding the cup casually, but the veins on the back of his hand were bulging.

His brow furrowed even tighter when he saw Georgia Thorne enter. He didn’t like Elliot Sheridan, and similarly, he didn’t like the man before him, Erin Irving.

Erin Irving smiled. "Miss Thorne, we’ve been waiting for you."

Justin Sullivan’s gaze fell upon Georgia Thorne as he greeted her, "Georgia."

Georgia Thorne acknowledged him with a nod, sat down with Luther, and offered a distant, smiling greeting. "President Irving, Mr. Sullivan."

As soon as the words left her mouth, a flicker of pain crossed Justin Sullivan’s eyes, while Erin Irving raised an eyebrow, the corners of his lips curling into a handsome smile.

He raised a hand, picked up the nearby teapot, and poured tea for Georgia Thorne and Luther. "I can understand you being so formal with me, Miss Thorne, but why so formal with Mr. Sullivan? Weren’t you two childhood friends?"

Justin Sullivan’s brow furrowed tightly. He remained silent, his gaze fixed on Georgia Thorne’s face.

Georgia Thorne gave a faint smile, naturally picking up the teacup before her and taking a sip. "I didn’t realize President Irving was such an expert in brewing tea."

"Is that so? It’s just a humble hobby, nothing to brag about."

"You’re joking, President Irving. Mr. Sullivan and I were just childhood playmates. We’re all grown up now, so there’s no need to bring up the past." Georgia Thorne looked up at Erin Irving and took another sip. "Wouldn’t you agree, President Irving?"

Hearing this, Justin Sullivan’s face suddenly paled, while Erin Irving, in contrast, let out a hearty laugh.

"So I was overthinking things? I was hoping that your history as childhood friends might open the door for a collaboration between Mr. Sullivan and myself!"

"Sorry to disappoint you," Georgia Thorne said, her smile vanishing.

Justin Sullivan looked at Erin Irving and set down his cup. "Apologies, I have other matters to attend to. I’ll be taking my leave."
