Sea Survival: My Luck is Off the Charts

Chapter 407 - 405: Escaped? That Must Have Been Tough for You

Faye Yardley did manage to find some more gold and silver. She gave it all directly to Master Veridian. Since she had taken the key, she felt she had to leave something for the others.

"Master, Mr. Zephyr Sterling, we’re heading back to the Wooden House in the forest where we first started."

"Can we make it back in time? It’s already past 8:00 AM." Master Veridian recalled how much time it had taken them to fight their way out of there on the first day.

Faye Yardley said, "I think the greatest treasure is probably still in that Wooden House."

In the past, you could always find some firearms or weapons at the first landing spot. This time, they ran into those Evolved Zombies before they could even search properly.

’This means we missed it, doesn’t it?’

She had also completely forgotten about the new pistol from the lab she was carrying. She hadn’t even thought to use it since entering the Dungeon.

"Then let’s go."

None of the five dallied. They immediately started sprinting back the way they came. They avoided fights whenever possible, crossing the beetle area and entering the forest at top speed.

The moment they stepped into the forest, all the pursuing beetles stopped at the boundary line. The ones that rushed too fast seemed to disintegrate as soon as they crossed it.

Faye Yardley noticed this but didn’t stop. She had no interest in finding out exactly what was happening here.

She still remembered what she was in this Dungeon for, after all.

During a lull in the fighting, Faye Yardley remembered to ask a question that had suddenly occurred to her. "Master, what’s the difference between a Soul Destruction Talisman and a Golden Light Talisman?"

"You can tell from the names of the talismans that they’re different. A Golden Light Talisman only harms ghosts and monsters. A Soul Destruction Talisman, on the other hand, annihilates them completely."

Zephyr Sterling, who was fighting a large, fire-breathing rabbit nearby, chimed in, "Golden Light Talismans can be triggered passively. Soul Destruction Talismans can only be activated intentionally."

With the system’s map for guidance, their route was 100% accurate, even if a bit roundabout. So, despite moving as fast as they could, they didn’t get back to the Wooden House in the forest until nearly four in the afternoon.

"There’s nothing here, either. The wooden planks are just a normal thickness. So you think it’s underground?" Upon arrival, Master Veridian patted and felt the wooden walls. They were indeed no different from when they first arrived.

Of course, the small, broken wooden window was still broken, untouched.

Looking up at the ceiling, Faye Yardley leaped up and slashed at it with Light Wound. RUSTLE RUSTLE RUSTLE~ Weapons rained from the sky, CLATTERING all over the floor.

Faye Yardley’s brow furrowed slightly as she looked at the weapons. It wasn’t the Golden Treasure Chest she had been expecting.

Her gaze involuntarily shifted to the floor.

Lucy White flicked her whip, and all the weapons were swept into the air.

"Lucy, split these weapons with Mr. Zephyr Sterling."

As Faye Yardley spoke, she began stomping forcefully on the ground.

The floorboards shattered to bits under her feet, but apart from a series of footprints in the dirt below, there was nothing unusual.

’Is there really nothing?’

’Those Evolved Zombies couldn’t have come all this way just for the weapons in the ceiling.’

’I refuse to believe that, anyway.’

Zephyr Sterling, having collected the weapons, reminded her, "It’s about time. The system is notifying us that we’ve completed the mission and can leave the Dungeon."

Faye Yardley grunted in acknowledgment. "You guys go ahead and exchange your points before the next wave of attacks. I’m going to rip down the rest of this ceiling and take a look."

She did as she thought. Faye Yardley had already slashed open a large section, and now she cut down the rest.

And there, wedged in a corner between the beams, she saw a palm-sized, golden box.

"Just as I thought!"

Just as she grabbed the box and tossed it into her backpack, an Ice Arrow struck the spot where the box had been.

"System, open the Point Shop! You guys, exchange your points quickly! As soon as you’re done, get out of here. It looks like a lot of enemies are coming."

After saying this, Faye Yardley dumped all her points into a thousand of every kind of basic material and various home appliances.

As flames engulfed the Wooden House, Faye Yardley directly chose to return.

BOOM! The Wooden House collapsed under a barrage of rocks, which also smothered the flames a bit.

But there were no figures to be seen in the collapsed Wooden House.

Soon, a dozen or so figures surrounded the area, completely baffled. How did the people disappear?

"They escaped?"

Back on the raft, Faye Yardley touched her back. ’My Fire Resistance still isn’t high enough.’ She had been burned even while wearing the Self-cleaning Robe. What was worse, the Vestment robe itself was destroyed.

After three days of non-stop, high-intensity fighting in the Dungeon, she felt like she’d been ground down to the bone. Faye Yardley went straight upstairs, dashed into the bathroom, and took a shower.

By the time she came out, more than half an hour had passed.

She lifted her arm and sniffed. Good, she smelled nice and fresh again after her shower.

Her back had a slight burn, but it wasn’t serious, so she decided to ignore it.

But her hair had been singed by the flames, and even after washing, it was no longer as neat and smooth as before.

Tying it up casually, Faye Yardley opened the trading market on her interface as she opened the door and headed downstairs.

"System, open the Conch Isle model."

Faye Yardley planned to build two more residential areas in an uninhabited spot on the highway, following the blueprint. She had enough basic materials, so she might as well use them.

After carefully confirming that there were no people or animals in the designated construction area, Faye Yardley initiated the build.

The people on the island soon noticed a white mist rising from two new areas, accompanied by the sounds of CLANGING and BANGING.

They all wondered if another group of people would arrive on the island once these two residential areas were completed.

After doing all this, Faye Yardley listed all the appliances she had exchanged her points for in a designated trade. The recipients could only be Shawn Lawler or Laura Summers. Once they brought the items to the island, Mayor Thorne would naturally know what to do with them.

Of course, she also kept two sets of appliances for herself, placing them directly on the lower deck of the raft.

"Sister, you’re finally done showering and came down! Come here, come here! I exchanged my points for some great stuff for you!"

Lucy White waved excitedly when she saw her coming downstairs.

"What great stuff?"

Asking, Faye Yardley crossed to Lucy White’s side in a few large strides.

Lucy White patted the sofa beside her, then pointed to the blueprints on the coffee table, along with several Body Refining Pills and Physical Energy Potions.

Faye picked up a blueprint and looked at it. It was a crafting blueprint for a low-level storage ring, and the main material was actually Space Stone.

"I can go to the workbench and make this for you in a bit."

"Thank you, sister!"

Faye Yardley said as she looked at the next blueprint. It was for an Intermediate Wooden Ship.

’That’s great. This wooden ship can be used by the people on the island once it’s built.’

The last one was a blueprint for a High Level Rocking Chair.

’Nice. A High Level Rocking Chair should be very comfortable to sit in.’

"It’s impressive that you managed to find all this in the Point Shop in such a short amount of time."

"Hehe, the storage ring blueprint isn’t single-use, is it? Sister, you can make some to sell."

Faye Yardley hummed in agreement. "No, it’s not. Once it’s registered at the workbench, I can make them as long as I have the materials. Thank you."

"Hehe, I used 80% of my points to exchange for it. If you can keep making them, it’s not a loss."

’Actually, it wouldn’t be a loss even if it was single-use,’ Faye Yardley thought, glancing at the other items. "I’ll go make the storage ring for you now. Then you can store all these things yourself."

’I can make a few more. Willow Yardley, Rainie Yardley, and Franklin Yardley can use them, too. And I can wear one for fun.’
