Chapter 264: Chapter 133: Alex’s Plan, Let’s Have Another Bottle of Divine Blood! (Part 1)

Slay a god?

Alex’s words had barely left his lips when both Shaka and Saga trembled simultaneously, disbelief and absolute shock flashing in their eyes.

As the two strongest Gold Saints in the Sanctuary apart from Alex, Saga possessed the most devastating ultimate technique among the Twelve Temples, while Shaka stood alone with an Eighth Sense realm that bordered on the divine.

Yet, even so, they had never dared to harbor the ambition of slaying a god.

The chasm separating gods and mortals was an impassable abyss, not something that could be bridged by a simple increase in raw power.

The two exchanged a glance, both seeing a heavy gravity in each other’s eyes.

Slaying a god? It was easy to say, but could it really be achieved so easily?

Alex’s expression remained perfectly calm, as if he were merely discussing a trivial matter.

Standing to the side, Saori Kido lightly tapped the tip of her staff, Nike the Goddess of Victory, against the floor. Golden ripples of light spread across the ground as her voice rang out, carrying a piercing, all-knowing clarity.

"The current Olympian Gods have not descended to the human realm in their true forms. Bound by the laws of the mortal world, their strength will not exceed the Ninth Sense, and their vessels are merely mortal bodies. As long as we completely obliterate their physical forms, even if they can rely on their divine sparks to resurrect, it will take an eternity. At the very least, they won’t make it back in time for this Holy War."

Alex nodded slightly and elaborated.

"On the surface, this operation against Hades Castle is meant to paralyze the Underworld’s anchor in the human realm. The true targets, however, are Thanatos, the God of Death, and Hypnos, the God of Sleep."

"The twin gods serve as Hades’ right and left hands. If we can kill or seal even one of them before the Holy War fully breaks out, it will undoubtedly shake Hades to his core. He won’t dare to strike at the human realm again in the short term."

Shaka formed a lotus mudra with his fingers, his tone calm but laced with solemnity.

"How exactly should we proceed? The divine power wielded by the Gods of Death and Sleep is far beyond what any ordinary Specter can muster."

"The five Bronze Saints will be responsible for clearing out the perimeter Specters to draw their attention."

Alex’s gaze swept past the temple doors, landing on the fully equipped detachment ready to deploy at the foot of the Sacred Mountain.

"The primary objective for the Gold Saints—Shura, Aiolia, and Mu—is to stall the three Judges of the Underworld: Wyvern Rhadamanthys, Griffon Minos, and Garuda Aiacos."

"Those three are the core of the Underworld’s combat forces. As long as they are tied down, it will create an opening for us."

He paused, shifting the topic.

"If the Gods of Death or Sleep decide to intervene, that is when the two of you must step forward to intercept them. You need to stall for time until I arrive."

Saga frowned slightly, a flash of confusion in his blue eyes.

"You aren’t coming with us?"

Alex shook his head, a chilling glint in his dark eyes.

"If I accompany you, the three Judges will absolutely avoid a direct confrontation, and it’s even more likely that the Gods of Death and Sleep will cower deep within the Underworld."

Saga and Shaka nodded in agreement. Alex was someone who could clash head-on with Poseidon.

Two secondary gods would naturally not dare to engage him carelessly.

Alex spoke indifferently.

"I will use the excuse of guarding the Goddess to remain in the Sanctuary, misleading them into thinking I am not participating in the battle. Besides, if anyone dares to cause trouble in the Sanctuary during this time, I wouldn’t mind sending them on their way to the afterlife."

A flash of realization instantly passed through Saga’s eyes, and a faint smile touched the corners of his mouth.

"So, this battle must devolve into a stalemate. The vanguard we deploy cannot be too overwhelming; this way, the Underworld will mistakenly believe they have a chance to crush us, luring the Gods of Death and Sleep into taking action themselves."

"Exactly."

Alex nodded in approval. There was no need to waste words when speaking with intelligent people. Saga’s foresight and tactical acumen truly made him worthy of the Pope’s seat.

"The moment the two gods reveal themselves, Shaka, you must immediately deploy the Treasure of Heaven to seal the surrounding space. I will deploy from the Sanctuary and launch a lightning-fast strike at top speed, killing at least one of them."

"By then, the Underworld will inevitably fall into chaos, and Hades will be forced to rein in his aggression. The momentum of offense and defense will be entirely reversed."
