Chapter 260: Chapter 131: Attributes Surge Tenfold, Invading the Underworld! (Part 1)
"Athena’s summon... something has indeed happened!"
Alex stepped out of the karst cave and looked toward the Sanctuary, a hint of solemnity flashing in his dark eyes.
He stored the Aquarius Cloth, which had reverted to its dormant state, back into his inventory space. The moment the Cloth disappeared, golden particles of light flickered briefly in his palm before dissipating, almost as if the armor were reluctant to part with him.
As the Aquarius Cloth continued to evolve, the bond between them only grew stronger.
Following that, Alex transformed into a streak of light, flying toward the Sanctuary at blistering speeds.
It was currently early morning in the Saint Seiya world. The morning sun was slowly rising over the horizon, its golden rays piercing through the clouds to bathe the earth, dyeing the mountains and rivers in a warm, inviting orange.
The moment this serene and beautiful scene entered his vision, Alex felt every cell in his body suddenly boil.
On his attribute panel, his four basic attributes skyrocketed instantly. From a base of fifty million, they quickly broke past one hundred million, then one hundred and fifty million, two hundred million...
Endless energy surged from every inch of his being.
Alex’s flight speed surged exponentially, and a faint golden halo even began to ripple around him. Without needing to mobilize his Cosmo, he could effortlessly break through all physical resistance relying solely on the raw power granted by the Kryptonian Bloodline.
The planet’s ubiquitous and powerful gravity was no longer a chain binding him; instead, it transformed into a driving force pushing him forward, allowing him to tear across the sky like a shooting star.
"So this is the flight ability of the Kryptonian Bloodline. It feels entirely instinctual."
Realization dawned on him, and a faint smile touched the corners of his mouth. From now on, the sky was his domain; the earth could no longer restrict his speed.
Boom!
Even though the Saint Seiya world was shrouded by the restrictive laws of the Gods’ Covenant, Alex’s speed still shattered physical limits, leaving a chain of sonic booms echoing long behind him.
In just a few breaths, the outline of the Sanctuary appeared below him.
From afar, Athena’s divine domain manifested as a translucent golden barrier. Like a massive eggshell, it tightly enclosed the entire Sanctuary, insulating it from the pervasive purple-black aura of the outside world.
Those dark auras lingered like restless, unyielding spirits, spiraling and intertwining outside the barrier. They emanated a deathly, oppressive pressure that sought to devour life itself—clearly the physical manifestation of the divine power of Thanatos and Hypnos, the Gods of Death and Sleep.
Alex slowly descended and walked toward the golden barrier.
The divine domain did not reject him. The barrier automatically washed over him like flowing water, enveloping him in a warm energy that instantly washed away the fatigue from his journey to the DC Universe. It was as if he had finally returned to a warm, welcoming home.
He sighed inwardly. The innate sense of belonging stemming from his true spirit, occurring so silently and seamlessly, was indeed difficult to resist.
The moment he arrived at the foot of the Sacred Mountain, Athena’s gentle yet slightly weary voice drifted into his ears.
"Alex, you have finally returned. Come to the summit; I have important matters to discuss with you."
Alex ascended the steps, simultaneously analyzing the situation in his mind.
During his absence, Hades must have definitely received news of the alliance between Athena and Poseidon. Coupled with the presence of the strongest Gold Saint of the current era—himself—the Sanctuary’s power was unprecedentedly formidable. Hades was likely unwilling to send his Specters to attack the Sanctuary, knowing it would be a futile effort.
That was exactly why he had dispatched the twin Gods of Death and Sleep to launch an indiscriminate assault on the human realm.
Although these methods could not kill the Goddess or her Saints directly, they could continuously erode the earth under Athena’s protection, weaken her divine power, and wear down the Sanctuary’s morale.
This, however, was entirely within Alex’s expectations.
Before he could completely root out the hidden danger lurking within his soul’s true spirit, he had no intention of charging into the Underworld to end Hades.
The longer this stalemate dragged on, the more advantageous it was for him.
Alex knew very well that he needed to make a trip to the Bleach world as soon as possible to thoroughly eradicate the hidden flaw in his soul. He wondered how much Ade had grown, and whether he could erase the backdoor the gods had planted within his spirit.
Lost in thought, Alex forgot to conceal his aura. His Cosmo, amplified tenfold by the Kryptonian Bloodline, descended like a massive, crushing iceberg, directly projecting an oppressive weight over the entire Sanctuary.
