Bruce clenched his fists tightly, his knuckles turning white.

Barry’s gaze followed Bruce’s line of sight and landed on Alex.

Alex stood at the boundary between shadow and light. His coarse white garments remained motionless in the damp wind. He seemed to have stepped out of the last century, completely out of place with the dilapidated surroundings, like a still painting.

The Speed Force surged, sparking with tiny arcs of electricity. Barry attempted to capture Alex’s energy fluctuations from every angle, trying to analyze this existence that made even the Speed Force react as if facing a formidable enemy.

But in the next second, he witnessed a sight he would never forget for the rest of his life: when those golden streams of Speed Force approached within a foot of Alex, they suddenly seemed struck by an immobilization spell. They instantly condensed into transparent ice crystals, maintaining their galloping posture as they hung in the air, and then shattered into fine dust without even a trace of energy remaining.

This was not a dynamic confrontation; it was space being forcibly frozen.

Alex didn’t even blink. He merely turned his head slowly, his black eyes accurately locking onto Barry’s true body moving at high speed. His voice wasn’t loud, yet it pierced through the barrier of the Speed Force and landed directly in Barry’s mind.

"Save the probing, Barry Allen. I am not your enemy, at least not right now."

He paused, his tone flat yet carrying unquestionable power.

"Your Speed Force is very interesting, but it is not strong enough."

These words fell like a heavy hammer, causing Barry’s high-speed figure to come to an abrupt halt.

He revealed his true form, his chest heaving violently. Cold sweat seeped from his forehead, and his eyes were filled with unprecedented horror.

The Speed Force he was so proud of had actually been seen through and frozen so easily?

The only person he had ever seen moving freely within the Speed Force before was that man!

"Stop, Barry!"

Bruce pressed a key on the keyboard, and the computer screen instantly lit up. The low-temperature curve of Alex freezing a nuclear explosion and the simulated animation of the Thunder of Chaos annihilating a civilization were clearly displayed.

He swallowed hard, his gaze toward Alex shifting from vigilance to absolute shock.

"This... is this real? You can... freeze space and time?"

"There is no time left for mutual probing."

Bruce’s voice became firm. His originally hunched body slowly straightened up, and his shoulders no longer slumped. The flames of revenge ignited in his eyes, and the will of the Dark Knight condensed around him once again.
