Chapter 235: Chapter 118: The Descendants of Superman and Diana, Hades’ Decision! (Part 1)

He closed his eyes in agony, then snapped them open, his pupils constricted with lingering terror.

"But he knew... He knew even before I made a move! It was as if he could see right through my mind—my plans, my weapons, my everything..."

His body began to tremble, his voice breaking into a sob.

"He didn’t even give me the chance to die! In a single instant, my comrades, my Batcave, my armory... everything was crushed by him like a child’s toy!"

His manic laughter gradually dissolved into hysterical weeping. He buried his face in his knees, his shoulders shaking violently.

"It’s useless... He is already a god... How can a mere man kill a god?"

The corner of Alex’s mouth twitched upward into a faint smirk. Suddenly, a brilliant golden radiance erupted from his body.

The light was gentle yet carried an unquestionable majesty, instantly dispelling the biting chill of the alleyway. His voice rang out, clear and steady, in Bruce’s ears.

"A god? In my eyes, they are merely biological entities with a slightly higher life intensity."

Alex leaned down to look at Bruce, his gaze as sharp as a blade.

"Bruce Wayne, do you really not want to save this world? When the Bat-Signal lights up the night once more, will you still be able to stand up to protect this city?"

Bruce’s body jolted. His hands shook as he slowly lifted his head from his knees. Within those eyes that had long since lost their luster, a faint, flickering spark—as small as a single ember—began to glow.

The Kryptonian Temple: Metropolis

In the Kryptonian Temple of Metropolis, the afterglow of the setting sun filtered through massive floor-to-ceiling windows, casting golden patches of light onto the pristine marble floor.

Diana, the Wonder Woman, stood by the window. Her auburn hair fell over her shoulders, and the cloak of her star-spangled armor fluttered slightly in the breeze. Her hand rested subconsciously on her slightly protruding abdomen, her eyes clouded with deep-seated worry.

Superman stepped up from behind, holding her gently. His chin rested on the crown of her head, and his warm breath brushed against her neck with a trace of scorching heat.

"What is it, my love? I see worry in your eyes."

His voice was tender, and his fingertips lightly traced her abdomen—a gesture of profound cherishing.

Diana turned around, reaching up to stroke Superman’s cheek. The anxiety in her gaze was impossible to hide.

"I’m fine... I just had a nightmare." She paused, her voice dropping an octave. "I dreamed that you were killed."

A confident smile curled Superman’s lips. A golden halo shimmered around his body, radiating power.

"Dreams are always the opposite of reality, darling. In this world, who could possibly harm me?"

He leaned down and kissed her forehead, his tone teasing.

"Pregnancy must have made the former Goddess of War sentimental."

At the mention of the children in her womb, the worry in Diana’s eyes was instantly replaced by maternal tenderness. She took Superman’s hand and pressed it against her belly.

"I never thought we could have children. Our physical constitutions are too powerful; our genes are too difficult to merge... but their arrival was a truly unexpected surprise."

A red glow flickered in Superman’s eyes—his heat vision—but he deliberately restrained its power, gazing at Diana’s abdomen with immense softness.

"I can feel their power," he said, a note of pride in his voice. "These two children have merged our bloodlines; their talent far exceeds anyone else’s. Once they are born, they will be the most powerful gods on this planet—perhaps in the entire universe!"

Suddenly, his arms tightened, pulling Diana into a fierce embrace. His tone shifted, becoming ruthlessly cold.

"Whoever tries to end my happiness... I will make them pay a price more painful than death!"

Outside the window, the sun vanished completely, and darkness swallowed Metropolis. Only the golden light of the Kryptonian Temple remained, acting like a massive cage that shrouded the entire city under the guise of "Order."

Elysium

At the gates of the temple in Elysium, two purple-black silhouettes slowly began to manifest...
