This mech had once defeated a large number of Kaijus, but due to the death of its pilots and severe damage, it had to be decommissioned.

At this moment, it stood in silence, its steel shell reflecting a cold light, like an iron tombstone declaring the death of humanity.

Henry straightened his posture.

"Prepare my Drivesuit and ten of the highest-yield nuclear bombs!"

His voice was as hoarse as sandpaper rubbing together.

"I will pilot Gipsy. Even if we are defeated, human civilization cannot simply bow out quietly doing nothing!"

Tendo’s pupils contracted sharply.

"Marshal, but your radiation sickness is already in its terminal stage! The neural overload will kill you instantly..."

The Jaeger’s body was simply too massive, requiring two pilots to operate it simultaneously to share the neural load.

Even though Henry was an ace pilot back in the day, it was absolutely impossible for him to pilot Gipsy alone, break through the siege, and deliver the nukes into the wormhole at the bottom of the Pacific Ocean.

"It doesn’t matter anymore. This is the final hour, and humanity needs a hero!"

"If we are all going to die in the end, then I’d rather die on the battlefield, going out in a blaze of glory!"

Henry tore off the Marshal’s badge from his chest and threw it to the ground. He turned and walked toward Gipsy’s boarding elevator, the red warning lights swallowing his silhouette.

Soon, the turbine on Gipsy Avenger’s chest began spinning at high speed. The massive alloy box strapped to its back contained ten of the highest-yield nuclear bombs humanity could manufacture.

Gipsy’s eyes lit up with a yellow glow, and it strode toward the ocean!

The earth trembled beneath Gipsy’s feet!

"Can he succeed?"

Inside the command center, the technicians all turned their gazes toward Tendo Choi!

Tendo Choi smiled bitterly and shook his head. Even if the Marshal’s willpower was incredibly strong, he was already a veteran in his forties. His body, eroded by radiation and venom from fighting the Kaijus, had long since deteriorated.

Moreover, piloting the mech all by himself... let alone reaching the wormhole, just making it to the coast alive would be a miracle!

It was as if these two beasts also knew that humanity’s time was running out. They weren’t in a hurry to launch a fatal attack on Gipsy; instead, they adopted a cat-and-mouse approach, teasing and circling around the mech!

As time ticked by, two even more massive and ferocious Category V Kaijus emerged from the water onto the shore. The high temperatures of their bodies caused waves of white smoke to billow from them.

All four Kaijus simultaneously let out furious roars at Gipsy!

As if receiving some sort of signal, the Kaijus pounced on Gipsy simultaneously, pinning it to the ground. Their sharp forelimbs sliced open the mech’s conn-pod, exposing Henry inside the cockpit!

Knowing that there was absolutely no chance of survival, Henry gritted his teeth and pressed a red button right beside his hand!

"You beasts, go to hell with me!"

"Alice, Daddy is coming to find you and Mommy!"

The alloy box behind Gipsy expanded violently. Boundless nuclear energy was about to erupt from within!

In the very next second, a beam of golden light descended from the sky!

A young man wearing coarse, short clothing with his long black hair fluttering in the wind appeared on the battlefield. The position he stood at was right beside Gipsy!

Seeing this scene through the monitors, Tendo Choi’s pupils contracted sharply.

This young man who suddenly appeared... who was he?!
